Democrat Strategists Agree With Bill O’Reilly: ‘Insane’ To Connect Race To Obama’s Debate Performance

Mediaite.com:
Bill O'Reilly opened his show Friday with by touting new polls showing Mitt Romney catching up to President Obama in polls in crucial swing states like Florida, and said the Democrats’ strategy coming out of the debate has been to “call Romney a liar” in order to take the spotlight off of Obama’s poor performance. O’Reilly found it hard to believe that the rhetoric will help the president’s election chances.

He argued that it is “foolish and destructive” for the Obama campaign to attack Romney over lying when the president has also been guilty of making “false and misleading statements.”

O’Reilly then brought up what he thought was one of the most ridiculous takes on Obama’s debate performance, from MSNBC contributor Michael Eric Dyson, whom O’Reilly referred to as a “race hustler.” Dyson argued that Obama could not afford to be seen as an “angry black man” stereotype. O’Reilly said that Dyson cannot “analyze anything… without injecting race.”

O’Reilly then brought in Democratic strategists Mary Anne Marsh and Kirsten Powers to react to the Democratic machine working overtime to attack Romney. Powers was surprised to find herself in agreement with Romney, saying that the campaign should not be outright calling the other candidate a liar. O’Reilly compared the Democrats to sore losers calling Romney names, like children.

O’Reilly asked Marsh and Powers about Dyson’s “kooky fringe” idea that race had to do with how Obama did during the debate. Marsh agreed that Obama should have been more aggressive, but when O’Reilly pushed her to answer the race issue, she agreed with him that Dyson’s take was not true. Powers said it was “insane.”

Morally Bankrupt Mother Encourages Bisexual Daughter To Wear 'I Enjoy Vagina' T-shirt To School

This is liberal parenting in 2012. An idiot mother doesn't think there's anything wrong with her slut, bisexual daughter wearing an "I Enjoy Vagina" t-shirt to school. Nevermind her the obvious vulgarity here or the inappropriateness of wearing such shirt laden with sexual innuendo in a school setting, much less most schools having dress codes so as not to disrupt the teaching-learning process. This winner of a mom thinks her future porn star of a daughter's "free speech" rights are being violated and now she's angry, really angry:
A dress code drama unfolding at Newtown High School in Queens has some students wondering where the line between self-expression and school regulations really is.

A 15-year-old girl was back in class Wednesday after being sent home Tuesday by school officials for wearing a controversial t-shirt that read: "I enjoy vagina." The student said she has worn the shirt to school before and never had a problem.

But the Department of Education said the school's decision "is consistent with our Discipline Code and our Bill of Student Rights and Responsibilities. The language on the shirt was likely to cause disruption and the language is inappropriate for school."

The teen's mother said she stands by her daughter no matter what and isn't ruling out the possibility of a lawsuit in the future.

Mitt Romney Wins First Debate With Barack Obama...Clearly

Damn, Romney really cleaned the floor with Barry tonight. The Governor was more prepared, feisty and looked way more presidential. On the other hand Barry not looked like he didn't want to be there, but totally out of place without his teleprompter, much less surrounded by a liberal, lapdog media that literally grovels at his feet. Bottom line, Mitt dominated the issues, niftly fought off Obama's lies on Obamacare and the economy and showed Americans why he's the man they should elect as POTUS come November. Really now, when even Bill Maher gives Romney the checkmate and Chris "Tingles" Matthews has an epic meltdown over The One's horrible performance, if you're a far-Left Obama stan you might be worrying a little bit after this one:
The candidates were still onstage, delivering their closing statements, but behind the scenes the march of the Republicans had begun. Into the vast media hangar they came, parading triumphantly beneath red signs bearing their names under the “R” campaign logo of Mitt Romney:

Portman. Rubio. Giuliani. Hatch.

They had come to claim victory before the first presidential debate had concluded, a show of confidence — and no shortage of satisfaction after a long month of GOP self-doubt — in their belief that their candidate had clearly bested President Obama.

“We have a new race, ladies and gentlemen,” Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) declared the moment Romney uttered the last word of his closing statement.

It would be 15 more minutes before the first Democrats arrived in the media spin room — first campaign director Jim Messina, then senior White House adviser David Plouffe, looking tired and uncertain as a handler guided him, weaving and bumping, through the crush of reporters surrounding the Romney surrogates.

At first, an aide held the blue Plouffe sign downward, rather than high above in the jaunty way the Republicans had done.

Reporters rushed over to Plouffe and peppered the usually implacable adviser with questions: Did Obama lack energy? Did the president miss a chance to land jabs? Should he have been more aggressive?

“I think you guys all seem to think that Romney was aggressive,” Plouffe said, trying to fight back. “My sense is you’re going to find some people at home thought he was quite testy. I think sometimes in these debates, particularly with Twitter, ‘Oh, look at this, Romney’s being aggressive.’ ”

Messina was hit with similar questions about the president’s performance: Why did Obama seem to be on the defensive? Do you actually think he won the debate? Was he too much of a professor?

On that last question, Messina said, “No, absolutely not.”

His take echoed Plouffe’s: “I thought Governor Romney came off as testy.”

As for all the punditry that Romney looked stronger, more confident, more aggressive, Messina said, “You guys can award him style points all you want.”

There seemed to be little doubt, though, that Republicans were newly energized after weeks of setbacks. A secretly recorded video of Romney’s remarks at a private fundraiser had put the candidate on the defensive about his commitment to the poor and middle class. Polls showed Obama opening a small but clear lead nationally and in the swing states.

GOP strategists had said Romney needed to hit Obama hard over his record on the economy, and he did that repeatedly.

Joe Biden Makes Republicans Case, Concedes Middle Class Has Been "Buried" Last 4 Years

The gaffe-master that noted race-baiter Chris Matthews recently begged the Obama campaign to "unleash", proves once again why he's the biggest ass-clown to ever hold down the VP spot:
Vice President Joe Biden is once again proving to be a great asset to the Republicans.

First there was his ‘”put y’all back in chains” remark, which led to Republicans joking that he should attend the Republican National Convention and campaign on their behalf.

Now, the Romney-Ryan ticket is thanking the Vice President for making their point about the middle class.
At an event in Charlotte, N.C. yesterday, Biden questioned how Republican presidential nominee could justify raising taxes on the middle class that is suffering:
“This is deadly earnest, man. This is deadly earnest. How can they justify raising taxes on the middle class that’s been buried the last four years? How in the Lord’s name can they justify raising their taxes with these tax cuts?”
It did not escape the Republicans that Biden had limited that statement to the last four years, an error that he corrected at a later campaign stop by saying that the last four years were a consequence of President Bush’s policies ” that Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney supported.”

While Biden was working on dialing back his misstep, Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan used Biden’s statement to his advantage. “Vice President Biden, just today, said that the middle class, over the last four years, has been buried. We agree. That means we need to stop digging by electing Mitt Romney the next President of the United States,” he told the crowd in Burlington, Iowa.

Day before, Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney tweeted: “Another term for @BarackObama will only bring more of the same policies that have devastated the middle class.” Biden’s comment played right into this rhetoric and the campaign didn’t hesitate to tweet that they agree with the current Vice President.

Democrat Pollster To Megyn Kelly: Media Guilty Of ‘Corruption Of The First Order’ For Protecting Obama

Mediaite.com:
Former Democratic pollster Patrick Caddell appeared on Fox News Channel with Megyn Kelly on Monday to elaborate on a talk he gave recently in which he claimed that the media has today become “the enemy of the American people.” Caddell called the media’s deliberate downplaying of certain stories that could damage Barack Obama’s electoral prospects as “corruption of the first order.”

“We’re entering territory we have never entered before,” said Caddell. “We’ve never had a situation where the press has purposefully decided to pick up a narrative rom the White House to not tell people things that happened in order to support their overwhelming candidate for president, Barack Obama.”

“This isn’t about partisanship, this is about danger,” said Caddell. He equated the media to “Pravda,” a newspaper which was owned and operated by the state in the Soviet Union. Caddell went on to say that the problem of bias should be obvious citing how the story of the Libya attacks and subsequent mishandling of the response by the administration was not covered widely.

Megyn Kelly asked Caddell’s college, former Democratic pollster Doug Schoen, if the change of media bias was valid anymore given the proliferation of alternative sources of information. “Pat is right,” said Schoen. “There is a narrative that is being used to drive this campaign in a way that is effectively complicit with the Obama campaign.”

Caddell accused National Security Advisor Thomas Donnellan of orchestrating a media narrative around the Libya attacks – that they were caused by an offensive YouTube video online and that Mitt Romney’s response to the attacks was both premature and unseemly.

“He and David Plouffe sat there and said, ‘we have to protect he narrative we have,’” said Caddell.
Caddell slammed the Obama campaign for allowing the president to campaign in Las Vegas the day of the attacks in North Africa. Caddell said that his former boss, President Jimmy Carter, refused to make similar campaign appearances amid national security threats during the 1980 election. “Why isn’t the press saying anything,” asked Caddell.

Kelly asked Schoen if the media has crossed over into protecting the president rather than objectively reporting on the administration. Schoen said that, in combination with the stories about polls projecting Democratic turnout at 2008 levels, “the mainstream media appears to be facilitating a narrative” advanced the political operation in the White House.

Wannabee Keith Olbermann Mike Lupica’s Patently Poor Perspective On Unions And The NFL Ref Lockout

I live in New York City and subscribe to The Daily News, so unfortunately not only do I know who Mike Lupica is, but I have to deal with his smug, far-Left condensation almost every day. Thankfully I've learned to stay away from his "political" columns because all they're full of shit:
If you think Keith Olbermann is an example of a hard-left sports journalist-turned political commentator, you haven’t been reading Mike Lupica’s columns in the New York Daily News lately.

For those who don’t know Mike, he’s an award-winning sports columnist, best-selling author, ESPN Radio host, and a panelist for ESPN’s Sports Reporters, a Meet the Press meets Around the Horn program discussing the more weighty sports issues of the day.

Not a bad resume when you’ve conquered the big three of media: print, radio and television.

But with all of this multitasking, many say his best days on the sports page are now behind him. The slip is also largely due to the 60-year-old’s propensity to comment on events from the comfort of his top 1% home in Connecticut.

The hunger…gone; the column…predictable; the vitriol…rising.

Since he was 23, the Boston College grad has been famous for dividing and conquering…whether it was the public feud he started with George Steinbrenner from the very beginning of his career, or aligning himself with Don Imus, whom he praises in some capacity on a weekly basis.

But despite the success, all of it still wasn’t scratching one big itch: The need to be relevant on the political scene.

So the Daily News decided to allow him to write political commentary starting back in 2008. And while the same angry, condescending tone and increasingly unfunny attempts at humor were bridged seamlessly from sports to politics, Lupica’s twisting of the truth to shape a decidedly-liberal narrative has become all too transparent.

This was first noticed earlier this year, when Lupica declared that America was a racist nation ready to reject Obama in the upcoming election. Not mentioned were the 365 electoral votes Obama received four years ago or the fact he received the most votes of any candidate in U.S. history.

Did the country suddenly become pre-Lincoln racist in the past four years?

And could a poor economy, rising debt, high unemployment or uprisings in the Middle East be playing a role in some folks decision to vote against the President instead?

Naah…it’s a massive, underground Archie Bunker/KKK movement that would make Obama a one-termer. With that kind of backward thought process, Chris Matthews and Lupica should consider going bowling together sometime.

Then there was this recent doozy from the king of hyperbole on “right wing zealot” Paul Ryan:
“(Ryan is) someone who has never had to worry about a job or paycheck or health care for a day of his life…”

Again, a quick and easy Google search would reveal that Ryan’s father passed away when the VP candidate was just 16 years old, thereby forcing him to work various odd jobs (flipping burgers at McDonald’s or driving an Oscar Weiner mobile) to help support himself during his years as a young adult. Even Debbie Wasserman Schultz wouldn’t go where Lupica did here…

Anyway, regardless of your perspective on Ryan, you get the idea: facts can be pesky when trying to paint an entire political party with a broad brush the size of Wisconsin.

Speaking of the Badger State, we all know by now about the worst officiating call in NFL history that occurred in Seattle one week ago, how it cost the Packers a victory, and why the episode was the catalyst for resolving the referee lockout.

At issue were primarily salaries and pensions for the unionized referees. Regarding the latter, the NFL was asking the refs to agree to a pension freeze and a higher 401K match, which is a relatively fair request when considering only about 10 percent of U.S. workers currently own pensions.

Under the agreement struck last week, the current refs will keep their pensions, but starting five years from now, the pension plan will be frozen, and new hires will be offered 401Ks instead.

But sensing an opportunity to go after a “tea party clown” in the form of Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker (R) and Paul Ryan, Lupica, in this Sunday’s Daily News, attempts to paint them as hypocrites by their support of a rapid resolution in the referee lockout after their Packers got screwed (which exactly 99.9 percent of the country, regardless of political party, also supported).

Lupica’s logic: One minute Walker and Ryan are trying to “crush” unions, the next minute they’re supporting them by wanting the real referees back.

Talk about stretching exercises…

The argument falls flat for this reason: The NFL situation is entirely different from what union leaders are currently opposing in states like Wisconsin. The difference: The league is swimming in a huge surplus, with revenues topping $9 billion last year and expected to reach $14 billion by the middle of the decade.

The state of Wisconsin, conversely, was not enjoying a surplus or multibillion-dollar profits when Walker took office. Instead, it was facing bankruptcy and mass layoffs of state workers (such as teachers) because of rising pension and health costs that were taking out more money than they were taking in. Walker simply asked that union workers contribute more to keep their own pensions solvent and to get the state fiscal house in order.

The result? No mass layoffs, a solvent system saved from going belly up and most importantly, an equal system for all labor and non-labor workers alike.

Of course, in a blatant display of selective amnesia, Lupica fails to mention to Walker won not one, but two statewide elections (standard and recall) by comfortable margins.

But why trust the people of Wisconsin when you have a sports columnist pontificating from the comfort of a Connecticut mansion telling you how things should be without any regard to facts?

In his quest to transition from debating Mitch Albom on The Sports Reporters to battling Ann Coulter on Meet the Press, Lupica has soiled his legacy as one of America’s premiere sportswriters.

To quote Lloyd Bentsen: “Mike…you’re no Keith Olbermann.”

Ann Coulter On Lawrence O’Donnell And Bill Maher: They ‘Date Black Gals So They Think They’re Freedom Riders’

Mediaite.com:
On Tuesday, Fox & Friends host Steve Doocy interviewed author and columnist Ann Coulter about her new book, Mugged, which takes a look at the racial politics of the left.

He kicked things off by playing a clip of MSNBC’s Chris Matthews defending his previous comments about the GOP essentially “stoking racism” for political gain to HBO’s Bill Maher last Friday.

Coulter said that the Democratic party has tried to take credit for things like, say, signing the Civil Rights Act, although “it was actually Eisenhower who got the ball rolling.” She alter added that she found it curious that Matthews “cites all the black people coming up to him and cites black people in other countries whom he refers to as ‘African Americans.’” This is because, she ventured, “here in America, he doesn’t have any black friends. He doesn’t have any black neighbors,” and a picture of his son’s wedding reveals “not a black face in the group.” If he’d been Republican, she added, he “would be convicted of racism in two seconds.”

Coulter also described why it is that she believes Democrats “use” racism for political advantage. Step one, she said, is “tell black people that Republicans hate them for 100 years. Actually only since, I guess, the Democrats finally started to come on around the mid ’60s. Once the civil rights battles were won, you have liberals playacting against nonexistent racism and telling the world that Republicans and Tea Partiers are racist.” Step two, she continued, is to “taunt Republicans for not having more blacks in their party.”

She said that, through writing the book, she was surprised to find all the time that the President directly engages in “race baiting.” Coulter also accuses the left of being quick to label their opponents racist for such things as opposing ObamaCare, being a Tea Party member, or — and here she cited a conversation with Alan Colmes — for saying “the blacks” rather than “blacks” or “black people.”

Coulter later claimed that liberals — specifically Rachel Maddow — introduce black guests and being extremely special or “wicked smart,” while “poor nerd white guest” Chris Hayes simply gets a dry, straightforward intro.

She also joked that some liberals, Lawrence O’Donnell and Bill Maher among them, think of themselves as “freedom riders” because they date “black gals.”
