Mitt Romney Begins Quiet Push For Black Voters

Hey, why not? Despite giving him over 95% of their vote in 2008, the 1st Gay President has taken blacks for granted throughout his entire term, doing absolutely nothing for them while knowing full well that they'll kowtow before him once again come November (even Jeremiah Wright knows this). That said, why shouldn't Mitt Romney go after blacks who've not only developed some common sense during the last 3 years, but esp. the black, middle-class whose everyday livelihood has suffered tremendously under the Obama administration:
Mitt Romney’s campaign team has been quietly laying plans for an outreach effort to President Obama’s most loyal supporters — black voters — not just to chip away at the huge Democratic margins but also as a way to reassure independent swing voters that Romney can be inclusive and tolerant in his thinking and approach.

That plan, still in its early stages, ran headlong into the harsh political realities on the ground in Philadelphia on Thursday, when Romney was treated to a hostile welcome on his first campaign swing through a poor black neighborhood this year.

A few dozen protesters met him with chants of “Get out, Romney, get out!”

Madaline G. Dunn, 78, who said she has lived there for 50 years, said she is “personally offended” that Romney would visit her neighborhood.

“It’s not appreciated here,” she said. “It is absolutely denigrating for him to come in here and speak his garbage.”

Romney took his campaign to the Universal Bluford Charter School in West Philadelphia aiming to highlight his education agenda but also to connect with voters who were not part of his political calculus during the primary campaign. “I come to learn, obviously, from people who are having experiences that are unique and instructive,” he said.

Despite the obvious difficulties, Romney’s outreach to black voters could reap dividends even if he is unable to significantly chip into Obama’s support. “Suburban voters will be a real battleground, and upscale white voters like to think of themselves as tolerant and they won’t vote for a candidate that is seen as exclusionary, and the Romney folks must be aware of that,” said Bill Galston, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution.

“He has to persuade suburban voters that he isn’t Rick Santorum. He could break the mold a little bit and do some campaigning in African American communities. It would get people talking, and it would be all gain and very little pain.”

MSNBC Primetime Makes Zero Mentions Of Trayvon Martin Case After Pro-Zimmerman Evidence Surfaces

Proof positive that when the story doesn't fit their radically-Leftist agenda, MSNBC just isn't interested:
In March and April, MSNBC’s primetime hosts ran with nearly wall-to-wall coverage of the killing of Florida teen Trayvon Martin. They regularly suggested that the lack of national interest in the case was worthy of outrage. Last week, when an avalanche of new evidence favorable to George Zimmerman came to light, MSNBC’s primetime lineup didn’t just bury the story, they didn’t mention Martin or Zimmerman once the week that news broke according to media monitoring service TV Eyes.

On May 15, ABC’s World News broke new information that showed a more nuanced picture of how the altercation between Zimmerman and Martin unfolded. Their documents describe Zimmerman as having received “two black eyes” as well as a “broken nose.” They also outlined how Zimmerman was offered but refused hospitalization on the night of the incident.

MSNBC’s 8 p.m. anchor Ed Schultz led with the news that J.P. Morgan chairman Jamie Dimon would retain his chairmanship. “The big bank casino is still open and Republicans want to keep it that way,” said Schultz.

On May 17, Prosecutor Angela Cory’s office released hundreds of pages of information that further shed light on the murky events that led to the killing of Martin. Also released on that day was footage from the 7-Eleven where Martin was last caught on tape just minutes before his altercation with Zimmerman. New photos of Zimmerman’s wounds were also released on the 17th.

The new documents included an assessment that charges were actively considered from the beginning. “44th page of the documents released is that Christopher Serino, the lead investigator at the scene concluded that there was “probable cause” to charge Zimmerman with manslaughter,” writes Mediaite’s Jon Bershad. “ It isn’t immediately clear why this didn’t happen.”

On May 17, Schultz led with a report in the New York Times that alleged a pro-Romney group was planning to mount an advertising campaign that would link President Obama to his former reverend, Jeremiah Wright. “Mitt Romney doesn’t remember contributing to the climate of racism that simmers beneath the surface of the Republican party,” said Schultz. Washington Post reporter Ezra Klein, filling-in for 9 p.m. anchor Rachel Maddow, ran with a comparison between Republican reverence for President Ronald Reagan set against Democrat’s cautious pride in President Bill Clinton.

Those same documents revealed that an autopsy on Martin showed that he had TCH, the psychoactive chemical found in Marijuana, in his system and Zimmerman likely had Adderall in his system.

On MSNBC, former late night host Arsenio Hall joined Schultz who led with Romney “stirring up fears” about a new stimulus spending bill.

Even 6 p.m. anchor Rev. Al Sharpton who had seemed to make his show a platform for Zimmerman outrage, made no mention of Martin last week, after months of daily reporting.

The editorial decisions of MSNBC’s primetime producers would not merit this level of scrutiny but for the network hosts crusade in the months of March and April to see justice done in the Martin case. But as details about the case emerge and paint a far less definitive picture of what really happened –an even potentially sympathetic one for Zimmerman- the urgency of this story on MSNBC seems to have not just faded but evaporated.

To be fair, MSNBC dayside did cover the story as news according to TV Eyes but considering how often and passionately their primetime hosts focused on this story, it seems either purely ideological or beyond negligent for not a single show to have mentioned this big news.

Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz has said based on the new evidence that “no fair jury would find anyone guilty here of second degree murder.” Whether that is true or not, the legal system is too important and sometimes explosive for any news network to be completely depriving its audience of relevant information. Especially in this case, which MSNBC’s hosts did so much to elevate.

Chris Matthews Pretty Tired Of “Jackasses” Goofing On Him For Getting A Thrill Over Obama

Chris Matthews: Jackasses, Stop Asking About Obama Speech from National Cable and Telecommunications Association on FORA.tv

Just like an elite, liberal prick who can't take it when the joke's on him:
Via the Examiner, what’s the best part? The palpable bitterness in his tone or the fact that he’s taking his frustration out on the most mild-mannered creature in the media universe, a C-SPAN anchor? As you watch him solemnly lament the fact that a man might be mocked for Loving America Too Much, remember that not only does he work for a network that sneers openly at “teabaggers” and their silly tricorned ideas about saving the country before it implodes fiscally, he once dedicated a full hour to scaremongering about grassroots conservatives being some sort of proto-militia. You have to endure that while he has to endure occasional “leg tingles” jokes. And meanwhile, the rap sheet for MSNBC’s darlings in OWS gets longer and longer and longer. We all love America in different ways, I guess.

Make sure to watch to the end for him idly wondering about the “orientation” of people who accuse him of feeling tingly when he listens to O.

‘Hustler’ Magazine Runs Fake Explicit Photo of Conservative Journalist S.E. Cupp

This from the side that Barack Obama caters to and pals around with. Let's only hope that Ms. Cupp sues:
New York Daily News columnist S.E. Cupp is the subject of a tasteless photoshop job in a recent print issue of Hustler Magazine. The image below depicts Cupp engaging in a sexual act under the headline “celebrity fantasy.”

The piece in Hustler is accompanied by a disclaimer that makes it clear no image of Cupp performing this act exists and this image is for intended for “fantasy” purposes.
No such picture of S.E. Cupp actually exists. This composite fantasy is altered from the original for our imagination, does not depict reality, and is not to be taken seriously for any purpose.

I suppose there is room for this to be interpreted as a measure of flattery. After all, Hustler goes so far as to describe Cupp as a “celebrity.” That’s about where the flattery ends.

The Hustler piece veers into politics and reflects a lack of understanding on the intricacies of Cupp’s political philosophy and her career as a pundit. But, as the image above depicts, notable commentary on politics is really not what they do:
S.E. Cupp is a lovely young lady who read too much Ayn Rand in high school and ended up joining the dark side. Cupp, an author and media commentator who often shows up on Fox News programs, is undeniably cute. But her hotness is diminished when she espouses dumb ideas like defunding Planned Parenthood. Perhaps the method pictured here is Ms. Cupp’s suggestion for avoiding an unwanted pregnancy.
Are there a shortage of young women these days willing to “model” for Hustler that they have to Photoshop conservative pundits? If so, perhaps Cupp’s philosophy is winning the day and there is hope for the future.

Perhaps the saddest display of inaccuracy in this piece is that they say Cupp regularly appears on “Fox News programs.” She does, but only occasionally – she appears with far more frequency on MSNBC. For being such fans of Cupp, one would think Hustler’s editorial staff would invest a few minutes to learn about her career before putting words or anything else in her mouth.

UPDATE: Cupp called into Glenn Beck‘s radio program and issued a statement on the controversy. “It will be out there forever,” said Cupp. “The fact that I work very hard and I’m an ivy league educated woman with a pretty good job doesn’t matter when you look at a photo like this.”

She wondered whether there would be significant outrage if this magazine had done something similar to Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) or First Lady Michelle Obama. Cupp said that Hustler’s honesty, saying they disagree with her politically and therefore she deserves a phallus in her mouth, was refreshing.

Conservative Teen, Madeleine McAulay, Receives Death Threats For Standing Up For Traditional Marriage

Mediaite.com:
On Wednesday, Fox & Friends host Steve Doocy interviewed a 16-year-old conservative teen on her political beliefs, as well as the backlash she’s received for them. “She’s conservative, she’s christian and she’s only 16 years old,” said Doocy, introducing Madeleine McAulay. “But when it comes to politics, this North Carolina teenager is certainly not afraid to speak her mind. [...] Referred to as the teenage political maverick, it’s no surprise that the 16-year-old is being followed by none other than her political idol, Sarah Palin.”

McAulay described her admiration for Palin, sharing that “For a school assignment, I had to watch her RNC speech and when she walked out, I was just amazed that a wife and a mom could be such a power player within the political world.”

Doocy then turned to the reaction the teen received after posting a video about same-sex marriage in her home state on her website, FaithHopeAndPolitics.com.

“Within, I think, two days,” she said, “I had over 1,000 views. And, you know, the hatred and the vile, vulgar, disgusting comments started coming in and over the past few days, they have gotten totally extreme and completely inappropriate.”

“Well, they are inappropriate,” Doocy agreed, “and I was looking at your website last night and, well, there were some death threats there.”

“Yes. That was the first time yesterday that I had ever received, you know, kind of death wishes and that was quite interesting, to get that feeling,” she told him.

Indeed, in a recent post titled “The Good, the Bad, and the Disgusting,” McAulay writes the following:
I am sure many of you have been hearing about the comments I have received regarding my latest news interviews and also my controversial video on gay marriage. The comments have surely been interesting– the good, the bad, and the disgusting. I have been the target of much opposition after the famed Dana Loesch, Adam Baldwin, and several other top Conservatives tweeted about the comments.
Yeah, she's a 16yo conservative teenager in a world dominated by ghetto trash/"role models" like Lindsay Lohan, Snooki and Kim Kardashian. And for daring to stand up for traditional marriage, the anti-God Left are banding together to wish her dead. That's the world, led by Barack Obama, that we live in today.

Bono Smugly Declares ‘We Need More Aid’ And Only The ‘Brain-Dead’ Disagree

Great piece by Andrew Kirell over at Mediaite about what a smug a-hole that far-Left, super rich "humanitarian" Bono is. Amazing how many people worldwide fall this guy's claptrap:
The Daily Caller reports that Friday afternoon at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs Food and Global Agriculture (mouthful!) symposium, U2 singer and humanitarian Bono declared that even though “we are broke,” we need to increase foreign aid budgets. And to those who disagree? Well, Bono says you’re all “brain-dead, heart-dead ideologues or controversialists.”

Bono spoke to the crowd about Europe’s debt woes, conceding that “we’re broke.” He continued on to explain that during these tough economic times, when he goes busking for foreign aid in Western capital cities, “the word ‘aid’ sounds like an expletive. It’s like you brought a bad smell into the room.” But despite the resistance, Bono insists, “we need aid.”

“Of course we still need aid. Of course we do,” he declared. “Does anyone disagree? Anyone apart from brain-dead, heart-dead ideologues or professional controversialists? Come on. Every sensible person knows that.”

What smugness.

It’s a common tactic to minimize the opposition by claiming that no sensible person could possibly disagree with you. (Hey, remember when President Obama said there was simply no disagreement that we need a government stimulus? And then this showed up.) Bono has mastered this tactic over the years.

Bono must believe that serious economists, scholars, and writers like Andrew Mwenda, Dambisa Moya, William Easterly, June Arunga, James Shikwati, Karol Boudreaux, and many others are all “brain-dead.”

It’s easy to claim everyone else is “heart-dead” when you believe you have millions of poor people on your side. But Bono is simply wrong about foreign aid.

We give billions in aid to oppressive regimes who predictably hide portions of the money in Swiss banks or spend it on lavish mansions and cars. Food aid gets stolen too. ABC News visited Kenya several years ago and met Kenyan farmers who said bags of food aid from their government never arrives. This is not surprising because many of the aid-recipient regimes are kleptocracies – that is, they thrive mainly on plundering from the citizens they govern.

Much aid is rewarded without regard for internal reforms, despite the fact that corruption, absence of private property protections, and lack of rule of law are some of the main reasons the developing world experiences crippling poverty. Dumping foreign aid on them has done nothing to liberalize those oppressive regimes and create the economic growth to lift the people out of poverty.

World Bank economic studies confirm that foreign aid actually does great harm because “higher aid levels erode the quality of governance.”

In the past 40 years, Western governments have given Africa more than half a trillion dollars in aid. Yet Africa is even poorer than it was before the money started rolling in. A study from the London School of Economics further confirms the failure of foreign aid. By reviewing the aid given to more than 95 countries, the study finds that ‘‘aid does not increase investment and growth, nor benefit the poor as measured by improvements in human development indicators, but it does increase the size of government.’’ Another comprehensive study by the IMF also found no relationship between aid and growth.

Foreign aid hasn’t accomplished its goals. Instead it has financed mostly authoritarian governments, whose destructive policies — trade protectionism, insurmountable licensing schemes, price and wage controls, nationalization of industries — have all been supported in some fashion by our foreign aid programs.

To say foreign aid is a failure is not to say that we, as individuals, should do nothing to help. There are wonderful charities that do actual on-the-ground work. Micro-finance organizations are another way to directly empower the impoverished.

But no, Bono, we do not need more government foreign aid. And it’s not “heart-dead” to think so.

North Carolina Teacher Caught Yelling At Student For Criticizing Obama

If criticizing a sitting President was a crime than every person who's ever described themselves as a "liberal" would've been arrested while George W. Bush was in office. But with the country's 1st Gay President (often compared to a deity by his insane cheerleaders on the Left) now in charge, criticizing POTUS just can not be tolerated, even if you're a high school student just making an innocent point...free speech be damned and all. Of course, judging from her name and how she sounds in the audio, it's my educated guess that Tonya Dixon-Neely is a resident, black liberal...but I could be wrong:
A teacher at a Rowan County school has been suspended after getting national attention for a YouTube video video that surfaced last week showing her yelling at her students, saying it’s wrong to criticize the president.

In the YouTube video, North Rowan High School teacher Tonya Dixon-Neely and her students were debating several political issues, including a discussion about President Obama and Republican candidate Mitt Romney.

The video, which was uploaded on May 14, had more than 178,000 views on YouTube as of Monday afternoon. The story has been picked up by national media outlets, including Fox News and the New York Post. Controversial radio host Rush Limbaugh discussed the issue on his radio show on Monday afternoon as well.

The conversation starts as the class discusses recent accusations that Mitt Romney bullied someone as a teenager in the 1960s.

But the conversation quickly turns into an argument between several students and the teacher, with some students questioning Obama and asking if Obama bullied someone in high school as well.

“That’s disrespect. This man (Romney) is a presidential candidate. He’s not the president,” the teacher is heard shouting. “Let me tell you something. You will not disrespect the president of the United States in this classroom.” “

I’ll say what I want,” countered one male student.

“Not about him you won’t,” yelled the teacher.

I’m going to call my dad real quick. We’ll see,” the student added. “I didn’t disrespect him, I was just asking a question. I have different beliefs.”

The teacher is still employed but has been suspended with pay. An employee at the Rowan-Salisbury School System said they have been flooded with calls from around the country on Monday.

Ellen Degeneres-Led Gay Mafia Sentences Dharun Ravi To 30 Days In Jail For Tyler Clementi's Suicide

Unable to battle his rising demons, morally bankrupt, gay, alternative lifestyle-choosing Rutgers student Tyler Clementi killed himself by jumping from the George Washington Bridge in September 2010. Always on the lookout for a martyr to use and advance their anti-Christian agenda, the powerful Gay Mafia pounced on the story, exploited it to the fullest extent and pinned the blame for Clementi's suicide on his roommate Dharun Ravi after learning that he had secretly videotaped Clementi in their room with a male date. The "OUTRAGE!!!" from this story, backed wholeheartedly by the liberal MSM claims of "bullying" and "anti-gay bigotry", had reached such huge proportions that even the most powerful gay advocate in the world, Ellen Degeneres, weighed in on the matter on her daily show and declared that “Something must be done."

Of course, despite the lies that the liberal media told, when the facts came to light it was found that Ravi didn't watch Clemento taking part in gay sex or even "out" Clementi's homosexual behavior. Ravi used a webcam to spy on his gay roommate kissing another man, a dumb prank that shouldn't have gotten him nothing more than a slap on the wrist from his school. But when the powerful Gay Mafia gets involved...well it's a different story. I mean, 30 days for "bias intimidation?!? Yes, folks that's the world we live in today:
A New Jersey judge on Monday sentenced Dharun Ravi to 30 days in jail for spying on and intimidating his gay Rutgers University roommate, Tyler Clementi, who then killed himself by jumping off New York's George Washington Bridge in September 2010.

Ravi will serve three years of probation and must complete community service aimed at assisting victims of bias crimes, according to Superior Judge Glenn Berman. He also must pay more than $11,000 in restitution.

Berman stayed the jail sentence for 10 days in case of an appeal. If no appeal is filed, Ravi must report to the jail on May 31. However, both prosecutors and defense said they would appeal.

The September 2010 death of Tyler Clementi, and Ravi's trial this year, thrust the issue of cyberbullying and prejudices against homosexuals into the national spotlight.

Clementi, an 18-year-old freshman, plunged to his death in the Hudson River after learning that Ravi had secretly spied via a webcam as Clementi kissed another man.

"I haven't heard you apologize once," Berman told Ravi, 20. He said Clementi "placed his trust in you without any conditions, and you violated it."

Ravi, he said, acted out of "colossal insensitivity."
