"Fast And Furious" Just Might Be President Obama's Watergate

Woah, well what do we have here:
Frank Miniter, who wrote this piece, is the author of Saving the Bill of Rights and The Ultimate Man’s Survival Guide.

Why a gunrunning scandal codenamed “Fast and Furious,” a program run secretly by the U.S. government that sent thousands of firearms over an international border and directly into the hands of criminals, hasn’t been pursued by an army of reporters all trying to be the next Bob Woodward or Carl Bernstein is a story in itself.

But the state of modern journalism aside, this scandal is so inflammatory few realize that official records show the current director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), B. Todd Jones — yes the individual the Obama administration brought in to replace ATF Director Kenneth Melson Aug. 30 in an effort to deflect congressional criticism — also has questions to answer about his involvement in this gunrunning scandal.

Fast and Furious was an operation so cloak-and-dagger Mexican authorities weren’t even notified that thousands of semi-automatic firearms were being sold to people in Arizona thought to have links to Mexican drug cartels. According to ATF whistleblowers, in 2009 the U.S. government began instructing gun storeowners to break the law by selling firearms to suspected criminals. ATF agents then, again according to testimony by ATF agents turned whistleblowers, were ordered not to intercept the smugglers but rather to let the guns “walk” across the U.S.-Mexican border and into the hands of Mexican drug-trafficking organizations.

When the Gunrunning Program Began

A Jan. 8, 2010 briefing paper from the ATF Phoenix Field Division Group VII says: “This investigation has currently identified more than 20 individual connected straw purchasers…. To date (September 2009-present) this group has purchased in excess of 650 firearms (mainly AK-47 variants) for which they have paid cash totaling more than $350,000.”

This is an important fact because the U.S. Justice Department hasn’t made it clear to tell congressional investigators when the Fast and Furious operation began and who authorized it; as a result, this ATF briefing paper’s mention of September 2009 is thus far the earliest we can trace the operation.

ObamaCare Goes To The Supreme Court

BBC.co.uk:
The White House has asked the Supreme Court to uphold its healthcare law, inviting a possible high-stakes legal showdown just before the 2012 election.

The administration's move came after a challenge to the reform from 26 states and small businesses.

The justice department asked the Supreme Court to declare the law's key provision, requiring everyone to buy health insurance, constitutional.

The legislation extended health coverage to an extra 32 million people.

Passed in 2010, the Affordable Care Act was a long-held dream of Democrats.

The White House's move on Wednesday followed an August decision by the 11th Circuit appeals court, in Atlanta, that the individual insurance mandate exceeded Congress' powers.

While the court said the remainder of the law was constitutional, it struck down its core requirement that Americans who can afford it must buy health insurance or pay a penalty from 2014.

The case was brought by 26 Republican attorneys general and governors, and small business owners, who oppose a provision forcing them to cover their employees' healthcare at a level set by the government.

The justice department said in a statement on Wednesday: "Throughout history, there have been similar challenges to other landmark legislation such as the Social Security Act, the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act, and all of those challenges failed.

"We believe the challenges to the Affordable Care Act - like the one in the 11th Circuit - will also ultimately fail and that the Supreme Court will uphold the law."

The healthcare law's Republican opponents want to repeal it in the courts, contending that the government cannot force people to buy health insurance.

Hernan Cain: Black Community 'Brainwashed' Into Voting For Democrats

Hey, somebody important out there needs to be telling the truth:
The one African-American running for the GOP presidential nomination said Wednesday the black community was 'brainwashed' for traditionally siding with liberal politicians.

"African-Americans have been brainwashed into not being open minded, not even considering a conservative point of view," Godfather's Pizza executive Herman Cain said on CNN's "The Situation Room" in an interview airing Wednesday between 5-7 p.m. ET. "I have received some of that same vitriol simply because I am running for the Republican nomination as a conservative. So it's just brainwashing and people not being open minded, pure and simple."

Cain went on to explain that his interactions with African Americans led him to be optimistic about his own chances with the demographic.

"This whole notion that all African-Americans are not going to vote for Obama is not necessarily true," Cain said.

He continued, "I believe a third [of African-Americans] would vote for me, based on my own anecdotal feedback. Not vote for me because I'm black but because of my policies."

Lesbian Actress Leisha Hailey Didn't Tell Full Story About Alledgedly Getting Kicked Off Plane For Kissing Girlfriend

Of course, the liberal press is having a field day with this story from some b-list lesbian actress supposedly getting kicked off a plane with her girlfriend for making out on a plane--too bad her version of what happened is the only one being spread around. Even worse is Southwest Airlines catching heat for not only doing nothing wrong here (tell me anyone who likes to watch people make out in public, gay or straight--I mean it's where the old phrase "Get a room!" comes from), but being subjected to atypical "homophobic" rants from a liberal press that only cares about one side of the story regardless if it's true or not:
Actually a word about those headlines is in order. The banner at The Hollywood Reporter, which is typical, reads “’L Word’ Actress Leisha Hailey Tweets She Was Kicked Off Southwest Airlines Flight After Kissing Girlfriend.” That gives you the basic outlines of the story, but the ostensible chronology and cause and effect are wrong. The women were taken off the plane after it landed. And it was not because they had been kissing.

As best as I reconstruct (the details vary depending on the source), Hailey and her girlfriend, Camila Grey, were exchanging saliva during a flight from Baltimore to St. Louis. Nearby passengers complained that the women’s expression of affection was “excessive,” which in turn prompted a flight attendant to tell them their behavior was inappropriate. Hailey concluded she and Grey were the targets of discrimination.

Apparently, words between the actress and airline personnel grew heated. Once the plane landed Hailey and Grey were led off the plane—in Hailey’s own words—“for getting upset about the issue.”

Upon deplaning, Hailey went to work compiling a complete dossier of the incident on her Twitter page via a half dozen outraged tweets, beginning with:

I have been discriminated against by @SouthwestAir. Flt. attendant said that it was a ‘family’ airline and kissing was not ok.

An employee at Southwest followed, tweeting: “I’m so sorry! Can you please follow/DM [direct message] me more details so we can get to the bottom of this? Thanks!”

The airline later tweeted the following statement:

Initial reports indicate that we received several passenger complaints characterizing the behavior as excessive. Our crew, responsible for the comfort of all Customers on board, approached the passengers based solely on behavior and not gender. The conversation escalated to a level that was better resolved on the ground, as opposed to in flight. We regret any circumstance where a passenger does not have a positive experience on Southwest and we are ready to work directly with the passengers involved to offer our heartfelt apologies for falling short of their expectations.

Were the passengers who objected “homophobes” who overreacted to a simple peck between two women? It’s possible. It’s equally possible that Hailey and Grey were making a public display of their “equal rights” by vying in front of a planeload of hapless passengers for membership in the Mile High Club.

All I know is if what happened to these two women once the plane touched down—viz., getting to exit before all the other passengers— qualifies as being “kicked off,” I urge the airlines to kick me off the next I fly. I promise not to accuse them of heterophobia if they do.
Again it's no secret that gay people are shallow, narcissistic, sex-obsessed and always looking for attention. Inappropriate is inappropriate no matter the sex of those involved and obviously this gay actress couldn't handle being told the truth and that's why she went flying off the handle.

Bernie Goldberg To Bill O’Reilly: ‘Media Activism’ Behind Steep Drop In Trust

Very telling:
Distrust in the media, according to the latest numbers, appears to be at record highs. On tonight’s O’Reilly Factor, host Bill O’Reilly aired the results of a Gallup poll showing almost half of Americans think the media is “too liberal,” and that Fox News was overwhelmingly the television news source of choice. Why are Americans sensing this bias, according to poll results? Guest Bernie Goldberg argued it was because, in the post-Obama era, the media didn’t show bias, it showed activism.

47% of Americans, according to Gallup, thought the media was too liberal; only 13% found it too conservative. At 19%, Fox News was by far the most watched news source, with local news at 16% and MSNBC at 6%, which O’Reilly reveled in by calling those viewers “Fidel Castro supporters.” He turned to Goldberg and opened by asking about the latter’s former employer, CBS: “What happened over there?” Goldberg noted that the turnover in the anchor chair had hurt, but the downturn was not limited to that one station and had one particular origin: “its relationship with Barack Obama.” He elaborated that the media had always been biased, but “they moved from old-fashioned media bias to something new, media activism.”

This Goldberg equated with judicial activism– attempting to have a political impact from a pulpit that has no official political capacity– and the American people noticed. “There’s a price the media has to pay for [activism],” Goldberg concluded, “and they pay with their most valuable asset– their credibility.”

"Millionaire Matchmaker" Host Patti Stanger Tells The Truth About Gay People: They Can't Be Monogamous

It's funny how the immoral, no-values-having, mostly white, social liberal community is pitching a hissyfit about "Millionaire Matchmaker" host Patti Stanger speaking the truth about how gay people are rarely in monogamous relationships. Stringer, who is well-known for her bluntness and has been a professional matchmaker for years, spoke the truth when she recently talked about trying to "curb" gay people into monogamy. And yet, despite the fact that Stanger has featured many gay people on her show, now liberals are crying afoul and demanding that Bravo cancel her show:
"Millionaire Matchmaker" host Patti Stanger has built a career on giving people dating guidance, but Sunday night on 'Watch What Happens Live,' her advice veered into offensive territory. Taking calls from viewers, Stanger repeatedly packaged gay and Jewish stereotypes as insight in a segment that offended viewers and made host Andy Cohen visibly uncomfortable.

Things started to get uncomfortable when a gay man called in asking a question about maintaining an open long-term relationship. Stanger said, "In the gay world, it will always be open," and continued, "I've tried to curb you people." She then referenced a gay sex site.

Andy Cohen recoiled in shock. "I'm down for the monogamy," he said, pushing back on her comments. She immediately burst out laughing. "When was the last time you had a boyfriend?" she asked, incredulously.

Another caller hit on similar themes, and got a similar response from Stanger. He called in saying that he was looking for a committed relationship in L.A., but was having trouble finding people with the same priorities. "You're very handsome," she said, "I thought you were straight." She then clarified that he wasn't "queeny," as Cohen made a funny face that expressed his discomfort.

Stanger doled out more simplistic advice on other groups. When a caller said a lot of the men she'd been dating recently were telling her only what she wanted to hear, Stanger, who is Jewish, immediately asked, "Are they Jewish?" before proclaiming that "they lie." The caller then clarified that the guys she'd been dating weren't Jewish.

"So I'm a non-monogamous liar," Cohen responded, half in jest.

As Stanger made her comments, viewers flooded social media platforms to voice their displeasure with her stereotyping, rallying around the hashtag #CancelStanger. For her part, Stanger seems oblivious that some found her comments offensive, tweeting, "Love that I was trending last night between Packers & Sisterwives!" Andy Cohen has yet to publicly comment on the segment.
As I've said before, people who identify themselves first by who they sleep with are usually sex addicts or nymphomaniacs who are incapable of being in serious, monogamous, longterm relationships. The gay male community is especially well-known for promiscuity, high-STD rates and in general, disgust with the idea of having sex with just one person for a long time. It is my guess that most gay couples (like noted "gay activist" and liberal scum Dan Savage) are in "open relationships" and it's rare that you'll find a gay couple, male or female, that has been in a monogamous relationship for more than say 5 years. Yet, in all their debauchery, the gay community just doesn't like to deal with facts, even when it comes from a woman who has always embraced them like Patti Stanger has.

Rep. Maxine Waters Fires Shot At Obama: 'He Would NeverTell The Jews Or The Gays To Stop Complaining'

Judging from the numbers even black liberals are finally starting to realize that Barack Obama not only doesn't care about the trials and tribulations going in the black community, but he's narcissistic enough to believe that he can continue to ignore his African-American base and still get their support in 2012. Well, finally a prominent black liberal like Maxine Waters is speaking out against Barry not only taking her tribe for granted, but for daring to tell them to sit and shut up as he did this past weekend:
Looks like Barack Obama really made an impression on the Congressional Black Caucus this weekend — but not the one he intended. Maxine Waters tells CBS that she’s not sure exactly who Obama thought he was addressing, and claimed that the CBC has worked a whole lot more on unemployment than the President has, without whining about their critics. But Waters goes one better by telling CBS that Obama wouldn’t have dared telling a couple of other identity groups to stop griping:

Sounds as if the CBC just fired a shot across Obama’s bow on the pecking order for pandering in the Democratic coalition. After NY-09, Obama has tried to jolly along his Jewish supporters, who look like they may either sit on their hands in 2012 or bolt for the Republicans in numbers large enough to matter. Earlier this year, Obama backed off from defending DOMA and pushing for a quick end to DADT to mollify the LGBT lobby. The CBC apparently feels as though Obama takes them for granted, and Obama telling them to shut up apparently didn’t convince the CBC of his appreciation.

Mike Huckabee: Rick Perry ‘Is Not Prepared For The Pressure Of The Presidential Stage’

Mediaite.com:
Texas governor Rick Perry‘s performance at Thursday night’s Fox News/Google debate have many conservatives second-guessing their initial enthusiasm for the candidate– particularly his stances on immigration. It was not his ideas, but his delivery that concerned Mike Huckabee this morning on his regular Fox & Friends appearance, arguing that his apparent exhaustion proved Perry “is not prepared for the pressure of the presidential stage.”

To Huckabee, Perry “looked dumbfounded” at the immigration question, which was particularly faulty given that it was a question Perry should have seen coming. The delivery and preparation, as well as the general exhaustion, led Huckabee to argue that Perry “is not prepared for the pressure of the presidential stage,” something “not atypical in a presidential election.” But beyond the exhaustion and the fact that he defied the Republican base, to Huckabee it was the argument he used to get to them that hurt him the most.

“He could’ve answered that in a way that would’ve diffused it,” he noted. Huckabee didn’t go on the attack on the issue itself, however, but explained that it was the answer that dismayed him. Instead of going for the “you don’t have a heart line,” Huckabee recommended, he could have pointed out that many illegal immigrants “pay taxes every time they buy something,” and that “we’re not talking about people who just showed up to go to college,” but children already educated in the Texas school system. With all that said, Huckabee concluded by arguing that whether or not Perry succeeded in rehabilitating himself from this attack, the idea that the Republican nomination is a “two-man race” is one that he “highly resented,” not the least due to the fact that he himself had beaten Mitt Romney at the 2008 Iowa caucus and experienced the resistance to a third contender first-hand.
