Chris Christie Has Health Scare, Needs To Lose The Weight

NYDailyNews.com:
The wife of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie rushed to his side Thursday after he was hospitalized with breathing problems.

Christie is "fine and in charge," his deputy chief of staff, Maria Comella, insisted.

Friends said Christie was resting comfortably and watching the news coverage about his health scare.

But the blunt-talking Republican cancelled his monthly "Ask the Governor" radio show, which was scheduled for Thursday night, and aides said he was undergoing more tests.

The first batch detected no heart or lung problems.

Mary Pat, who works as an investment banker in Manhattan, was with her husband at the hospital.
I'm glad he's doing ok, but maybe this bit of news will finally get Christie to wake up and do something about his weight. Forget that his weight is an easy target for smear merchant liberals who can't debate the issues, way more important is Christie's health and the fact that he has a wife and kids to think about. Then too is the fact that Christie's weight is an issue image wise--even if you're a fan of his, it's hard not to pay attention to how fat he is. I've seen pictures of Christie making speeches and although you try your best to stay focucsed on his words, it's impossible not to ignore the sweat pouring from his brow, sweat-drenched dress shirts or the thought that God forbid he might have a heart attack when he gets really angry. Bottom line Christie's weight is not healthy and he needs to get a dietician, a nutritionist, a trainer, whatever and do something about it. He's 48, grossly overweight and suffers from asthma--not a good combination for him, his family or his political future and more people need to be upfront and tell him that.
