CNN Reports That Tea Party Isn't Racist, Actually Very Diverse

CNN.com:
When it comes to the Tea Party movement, the stereotypes don't tell the whole story.

Here's what you often see in the coverage of Tea Party rallies: offensive posters blasting President Obama and Democratic leaders; racist rhetoric spewed from what seems to be a largely white, male audience; and angry protesters rallying around the Constitution.

Case in point: During the health care debate last month, opponents shouted racial slurs at civil rights icon Georgia Rep. John Lewis and one person spit on Missouri Rep. Emanuel Cleaver. The incidents made national headlines, and they provided Tea Party opponents with fodder to question the movement.

But here's what you don't often see in the coverage of Tea Party rallies: Patriotic signs professing a love for country; mothers and fathers with their children; African-Americans proudly participating; and senior citizens bopping to a hip-hop rapper.

So when the liberal media actually takes part in a Tea Party rally (mind you, Tea Party activists have reached out and invited the scum at MSNBC to their rallies several times, only to be turned down) instead of just relying on lies, smears and photo docs, they find that the Tea Party is neither 'EVIL!' or 'RACIST!', but a direct and diverse reflection of the frustration Americans have with the current leadership in this country. See what can happen when you put aside the partisan B.S. and actually do your jobs as news reporters? People might actually start viewing you as credible. Shocker.

Sick And Twisted Rosie O'Donnell Compares Catholic Church To Guyana Jonestown Cult Killings

RadioEqualizer:
While few would consider the Vatican's handling of abuse claims to be particularly stellar, the Church's traditional opponents on the left certainly have managed to exploit the situation for political gain.

Then, there is libtalker Rosie O'Donnell, who has found a way to take Catholic-bashing to a whole new level. In Rosie's twisted world, there's really no distinction to be made between the Pope and Jim Jones, murderous cult leader responsible for the deaths of more than 900 people in the Guyanese jungle.

Looks like O'Donnell's drinking her own Kool-Aid. What's it spiked with, Rosie?

From yesterday's Rosie Radio program:

O'DONNELL (42:39): If there was an organization, let's just say the Boys' Club [that] had the history of child abuse, child torture, and rape that the Catholic Church has, would you ever give money to the Boys' Club or the Girls' Club?

O'DONNELL (43:28): I'm saying that to support an organization where at the top of the infrastructure, are people willing to ignore the mass child abuse and torture and sexual molestation of its own constituents.

It's almost like when you read about cults, Jonestown, all these cults [that] allow sexual perversity and sexual behavior.
This anti-religious, sick and twisted loon, who now has her handlers attempting to transform her into the "new Oprah", just can't get away from her worst enemy: herself. Recently, her "wife" Kelly finally gained enough strength (and no doubt courage) to run away from O'Donnell's craziness, here's hoping the rest of America will say enough's enough too when her new talk show debuts.

Sandra Day O'Connor: More Justices May Skip State Of The Union

Newsmax.com:

O'Connor said the controversy will fade over Obama's criticism of the court's recent campaign finance decision during his annual address to Congress. His remarks prompted Justice Samuel Alito to shake his head and mouth the words "not true."

But she said she wouldn't be surprised if fewer justices attend in the future. Justices John Paul Stevens and Antonin Scalia haven't gone for years and Justice Clarence Thomas rarely goes.

"You might see a diminution in numbers. It's always been uncomfortable. There were always people who thought, `God, do we have to go? Let's don't.' So it's been kind of a struggle to get them there anyway," O'Connor said.

Indeed, Barry's unprecedented attack on SCOTUS, to their faces at his first SOTU this year, may turn out to be, by far, his dumbest.

Liberal Actress Whoopi Goldberg Defends Wife-Cheater Jesse James, Admits To Cheating On Ex-Husband Many Times

EOnline.com:

Add Whoopi Goldberg to the roster of Team Jesse.

The View's Hot Topics got especially heated when the subject of Jesse James' alleged infidelities against wife Sandra Bullock came up…and the Oscar-winning hostess had his back, even going so far as to say she doesn't think he's a bonehead.

"It's nobody's fault. Maybe he was looking for something different," Goldberg says, before dropping her boyfriend-on-the-side bombshell.

"Hey, listen, I did it five or six times," she says. "Yes, I screwed around. Yes, while I was married. I made those mistakes, too, yeah. It happens sometimes. It happens...Maybe he wanted something wonderful in his life but couldn't deal with it."

Again, no surprise. Goldberg is a longtime, Hollyweird liberal and liberals have long made it clear that they don't value the sanctity of traditional marriage. Vows, respect for your spouse, values, bringing STD's home, etc. mean nothing to the immoral Left--the same folks who defend gay marriage, open marriages, polyamorous relationships and the like at every turn. Want a happy, monogamous relationship? Don't marry a liberal.

John McCain Says He's No Maverick

CNN.com:
Play word association with the name "John McCain" and "maverick" is certain to pop up.

After all, McCain's presidential campaign repeatedly dubbed the Arizona Republican "the original maverick" and late last month McCain's former running mate, Sarah Palin, urged a crowd in Tucson to "send the maverick back to the Senate!"

But there's only one problem: McCain, who faces a difficult primary challenge from the right, says he's no maverick.

"I never considered myself a maverick," the senator told Newsweek this week. "I consider myself a person who serves the people of Arizona to the best of his abilities."

McCain faces a primary challenge from former Rep. J.D. Hayworth and has come under criticism for being too moderate on a variety of issues, including immigration. Several leading Tea Party activists in Arizona have decided not to endorse McCain or Hayworth, criticizing both of their records while serving in Congress.

Despite what you've told us in the past....pander, John. Pander.

Rudy Giuliani And Joe Scarborough Take Down Liberal Hypocrite Arianna Huffington

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

NewsBusters.org:

Arianna Huffington stuck her foot in her mouth during Tuesday's "Morning Joe" on MSNBC, and ended up being totally humiliated by host Joe Scarborough and guests Rudy Giuliani and Mort Zuckerman.

As the subject of Florida's Senate race was broached, Huffington decided to attack the former Mayor of New York City rather than address the qualifications of Republican candidates Charlie Crist and Marco Rubio.

"Your judgment in people has not been stellar -- Bernard Kerik, anybody, so the fact that you're supporting Rubio now, I don't know exactly how seriously we should take it," irrelevantly spouted the liberal publisher.

Marvelously, some of the gentlemen on the panel didn't appreciate the cheap shot including Giuliani himself who finally said, "I come on here just to talk about Marco Rubio, you're attacking me on Bernie Kerik, you're attacking me on how I ran my presidential race. I imagine you're going to attack me on what I did in the Little League when I was a child"

Arianna Huffington tours the cable news circuit demonizing the Tea Party and anyone out there who dares to criticize Barry, but any visitor who speands just 5 minutes on her website knows that the real instigators of political vitriol are on the Left. They own it--just ask any non-partisan who paid attention to where the direction of anger was coming from during the Bush years. And as long as Huffington dares to venture away from the safehaven of MSNBC, any astute pundit will her out on her blantant hypocrisy.

Keith Olbermann's Replacement Larry O'Donnell Gets Better Ratings Than He Does

OlbermannWatch.com:

A funny thing happened to Edward R Olbermann when he made his Big Return to Countdown last week. Well, maybe not funny to Olby, but we can't imagine that Larry O'Donnell wasn't smiling at least a little bit. O'Donnell hosted The Hour of Spin for four days the previous week, and we compared his ratings with the same four days of the following week hosted by the infamous, deplorable Keith Olbermann. The numbers tell the story:

Bathtub Boy

Ouch! Do you suppose MSNBC's bosses at Comcast are looking at numbers like these? Could they be wondering why they should pay an exorbitant salary to Krazy Keith, with all his high maintenance idiosyncracies, when they can attract more viewers for much less cost with their new best friend Larry?

Of course neither of them comes anywhere near the eeevil Mr Bill, but when it comes to bang for the buck, will MSNBC continue to pour money down the Olbermann rat-hole? Discuss, resolve, and recap! Comments are open!

WikiLeaks Video Shows U.S. Soldiers Supposedly Engaged In 'Collateral Murder'

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

FOXNews.com:
The investigative organization WikiLeaks on Monday released military video of what it describes as three incidents of an "indiscriminate slaying" by U.S. forces near Baghdad on July 12, 2007.

WikiLeaks says the encounters killed as many as 25 civilians, including two Reuters journalists. The U.S. military said in a statement at the time that a total of 11 people died in the strikes conducted by U.S. and Iraqi forces, including two Reuters employees.

The video, obtained by WikiLeaks, is shot from two Apache helicopters on patrol in Iraq. The choppers were responding to reports of AK-47 gunfire in the suburb of New Baghdad when military personnel on board spotted a group of nine to 12 persons, including what turned out to be the two Reuters photographers, walking through a courtyard. A military official confirmed the authenticity of the footage to Fox News.

The military contends that the U.S. followed the appropriate "Rules of Engagement" for these episodes. In fact at the time, the Pentagon says U.S. troops were hit by rocket-propelled grenades (RPG's) and small arms fire while caught in a clash with Shia insurgents.

"There is no question that coalition forces were clearly engaged in combat operations against a hostile force," said multinational forces spokesman Lt. Col. Scott Bleichwehl in July, 2007.
This doesn't look good, be very interesting to see how Barry responds. Of course, since former President Bush was in charge at the time, the Left will obviously have a field day with it....just cue the 'Arrest Bush and Cheney' pleas now.

Juan Williams: Tea Party Anger Is Mainstream

WSJ.com:

There is danger for Democrats in recent attempts to dismiss the tea party movement as violent racists deserving of contempt. Demonizing these folks may energize the Democrats' left-wing base. But it is a big turnoff to voters who have problems with the Democratic agenda that have nothing to do with racism.

Putting a racial lens on the tea party activists may also help Democrats by painting congressional Republicans into a corner as debate begins on immigration reform. Hispanic voters are going to be looking at Republicans and their tea party supporters for evidence of racism in any effort to block reform.

But Democrats cannot win elections without capturing the votes of independent-minded swing voters. And that is where writing off the tea party as a bunch of racist kooks becomes self-destructive. The tea party outrage over health-care reform, deficit spending and entitlements run amok is no fringe concern. And it is insulting to all voters to suggest that criticism of President Obama, even by people who want to throw him out of office, is motivated by racism.

Of course, for daring to step away from the current, narrative (i.e. "Tea Party activists are nothing but KKK wannabees") pushed and funded by the Democrats white, liberal base, Williams will surely be branded everything from a DINO to an Uncle Tom, but hey true respect is earned, not given.

Liberal Singer Bruce Springsteen Cheating On Wife With Married Woman

TMZ.com:
Not even The Boss, it would seem, is immune from the infidelity epidemic going around -- allegedly.

Bruce Springsteen
was carrying on an affair with a married woman in New Jersey, according to the New York Post today, which cites legal docs in the woman's divorce. According to papers filed by her soon-to-be ex-husband, Ann Kelly and Bruce met a gym in New Jersey in 2005, when Bruce allegedly dogged her as she ran on the treadmill, telling her she had the "nicest ass" in the gym. Her husband claims in divorce docs that Bruce and Ann began going to lunch, and it eventually became a full-on affair.

According to the papers, Bruce became the main topic of conversation in marriage-counseling session between Ann and her hubby.
Springsteen got together with his current wife, Patti Scialfa, while he was with his first wife, Julianne Phillips.

A rep for Bruce declined to comment to The Post.

Springsteen is not only a noted cheater, but a longtime, radical Lefty who did everything he could to try and get John Kerry elected President back in '04 (and failed). But then there's no surprise here, conservatives are well aware that liberals (who promote everything from gay marriages to open marriages to polyamorous relationships, etc.) don't take the sanctity of marriage seriously. Let's hope that Springsteen's long suffering wife gets at least half of what he's worth.

12-Year-Old Jordan Brown To Be Tried As An Adult For Murdering Dad's Fiancee

"A 12-year-old boy accused of shooting his father's pregnant fiancée in her sleep will be tried as an adult -- but the prosecution would be open to the idea of moving him to juvenile court if the child changes his story. Jordan Brown was 11 when state police said he used a youth shotgun to shoot 26-year-old Kenzie Houk in her bed in the family's Wampum home in February 2009. He is charged with first-degree homicide." - PA News
The theory seems to be that Jordan was mad he lost his bedroom to make way for the new baby. And he took the time to try and cover the crime afterwards. And while folks debate an 11yo being tried as an adult for murder, the idea that lil' Jordan was able to get access to a shotgun seems to bother few.

Neal McDonough: Conservative Of The Week

Age:
44

Birthplace:
Boston, Massachusetts

Claim To Fame: Actor

Why He's The Conservative Of The Week:
for sticking to his values and refusing do sex scenes on a TV series. The Catholic family man was let go from his role on the ABC series "Scoundrels" this past week for refusing to engage in heated love scenes with his co-star Virginia Madsen. McDonough's faith is so important to him that he passed up a reported $1million payday to continue working on the show. An actor with morals in Hollyweird? A very rare gem indeed.

Bill O'Reilly And Megyn Kelly Talk Constitutionality Of Matthew Snyder Lawsuit

Although the lib media would never admit it, this is just another example of why FOX is consistently No. 1. Here we have a frank, hard-hitting discussion on a real constitutional issue, without self-censoring for political correctness or to match a certain ideology. Never will you see Olbermann have a guest on who did not agree with him. But O'Reilly is not only credible, he has no problem putting on people who disagree with his views and he always gives them the last word.

Anderson Cooper Smacks Down Alan Grayson's Use Of Race Card

NewsBusters.org:

It was by no means surprising to see Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Fla.) come down harshly on the Florida doctor who posted a sign in his office telling Obama supporters to seek care elsewhere.

What was somewhat shocking was seeing CNN's Anderson Cooper take on Grayson Friday evening when the Congressman accused Dr. Jack Cassell of being racist.

"What he is doing is no different from saying I will not treat a black person," amazingly stated Grayson.

Cooper surprisingly didn't agree

Woah, good for Anderson Cooper! To think maybe this kind of fair reporting on the issues could help CNN with their plummeting ratings.

This Week's Sign Of The Apocalypse: "RapeLay", Japanese Rape Video Game Resurfaces

This video game is an in-your-face degradation of women everywhere, as is anything that makes rape seem ok. I don't know jack about politics in Japan, but if there isn't already pressure on the Japanese government to police these kind of game makers, then there certainly needs to be. Unbelievable.

Disgruntled Democrats Join The Tea Party

CNN.com:
They are not typical Tea Party activists: A woman who voted for President Obama and believes he's a "phenomenal speaker." Another who said she was a "knee-jerk, bleeding heart liberal."

These two women are not alone.

Some Americans who say they have been sympathetic to Democratic causes in the past -- some even voted for Democratic candidates -- are angry with President Obama and his party. They say they are now supporting the Tea Party -- a movement that champions less government, lower taxes and the defeat of Democrats even though it's not formally aligned with the Republican Party.

To be sure, the number of Democrats in the Tea Party movement is small. A recent CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll shows that while 96 percent of Tea Party activists identify themselves as either Republican or Independent, only 4 percent say they are Democrats.

The 'Blame Bush' era has long ended, Americans are tired of the current regime.

Obama's Approval Rating Drops To Record Low

Newsmax.com:
This healthcare thing apparently isn’t working out too well politically for President Barack Obama. His approval rating fell to a record low of 44 percent in the latest CBS News Poll.

That compares to 49 percent in late March, just before the healthcare reform bill became law. His approval rating was 50 percent in January and 68 percent last April.

Obama does even worse on healthcare. Only 34 percent of respondents approve of his healthcare policy, down from 41 percent in late March, 40 percent in January and 49 percent in July.

Americans aren’t exactly doing somersaults over Obama’s economic policy either.

Only 42 percent of poll respondents approve of Obama’s handling of the economy, down from 45 percent before the healthcare passage, though up slightly from 41 percent in January. Still, it’s a plunge from 61 percent last April.

Only 16 percent see the economy in good condition. That’s down from 22 percent in December, though it’s up from 5 percent in February 2009.

Citizens are undoubtedly worried about the job market, with unemployment registering 9.7 percent for March.

Thirty-five percent of respondents say they are “very concerned” someone in their household will lose a job, up from 31 percent in February, though down from 44 percent a year ago.
Funny that this occurs even after the "groundbreaking" health care "reform".

Democrat Congressman Hank Johnson Now Says He Was Only "Joking" About Guam 'Tipping Over' Comment

CNN.com:
Rep. Hank Johnson, D-Georgia, is clarifying comments he made during a recent House Armed Services Committee hearing in which he suggested that the island of Guam, a U.S. territory, might "tip over and capsize."

While hearing testimony from Navy Admiral Robert F. Willard on March 25, Johnson expressed fear that the Pacific island of Guam might capsize if additional U.S. troops are deployed to a military base on the small island as planned.

"My fear is that the whole island will become so overly populated that it will tip over and capsize," Johnson said.

Admiral Willard replied that the military did not expect the island to tip over.

We can only imagine all the havoc the lib media would be raising if Sarah Palin had made this "joke".

Obama Whines: Attacks Rush Limbaugh And Glenn Beck

Newsmax.com:
President Barack Obama said that while he never bought into the overly nice things people said about him after his election, he didn’t think he deserved the ‘vitriol’ he says he’s heard from Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh.

In an interview with CBS News' Harry Smith Thursday, Obama suggested that the two leading conservative voices on the airwaves were stirring up hatred toward him.
"I've been out and about, listening to talk radio," Smith told Obama. "The kindest of terms you're sometimes referred to out in America is a socialist. The worst of which I've heard is called a Nazi.

Are you aware of the level of enmity that crosses the airwaves and that people have made part of their daily conversation about you?
"Well, I think that when you listen to Rush Limbaugh or Glenn Beck, it's pretty apparent, and it's troublesome," Obama said. "But keep in mind that there have been periods in American history where this kind of vitriol comes out. It happens often when you've got an economy that is making people more anxious, and people are feeling like there is a lot of change that needs to take place. But that's not the vast majority of Americans. I think the vast majority of Americans know that we're trying hard, that I want what's best for the country."

Added Obama:
"I didn't buy all the hype, right after inauguration, where everybody was only saying nice things about me. And I don't get too worried when things aren't going as well because I know that over time these things turn."
Really now, a President should be above publicly whining about political pundits who disagree with their views. Think President Bush ever cared about what Keith Olbermann or anyone else at MSNBC was saying about him while in office? But Barry's a narcissist who just hates people who somehow find a reason not to like him. Too bad and really now, get over it.

Liberal MoveOn Group, Creater Of Bush=Hitler Ads, To Protest Fake Tea Party "Hate"

These hypocrites have no shame, none whatsoever:

The Democrat-media complex has been pushing the idea that patriotic nonviolent resistance and opposition to ObamaCare and President Obama’s drive to turn America into a full-blown socialist state somehow constitutes “hate.”

Leftists keep trying to invent new incidents supposedly showing how their political adversaries in the Tea Party movement are sinister racists.

They claim –in the absence of proof– that black Democratic lawmakers were called the N-word as they walked to the U.S. Capitol building to vote on ObamaCare. They claim –in the absence of proof– that an anti-gay epithet was hurled at Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.), an openly gay lawmaker.

It is an indisputable fact that the violence America is beginning to see is almost exclusively on the left, whether it’s a deranged registered Democrat flying his plane into a federal building in Austin, Texas, or a progressive coward calling in a death threat against a Republican lawmaker.

It is all part of the left’s push to delegitimize opposition to the socialist takeover of America. If you oppose the murder-in-progress of the American republic you are smeared as a redneck, teabagging, racist obstacle to progress — and you deserve what’s coming to you.

So it’s not surprising that the street theater specialists at MoveOn.org are planning to host a propaganda event tomorrow intended to reinforce this false notion that Constitution-loving pro-limited government enthusiasts are eeeevil haters.

The leftist thugs at MoveOn plan to hold a rally outside Republican National Committee headquarters in Washington, D.C. to urge the Republican Party to distance itself from the alleged “hate” caused by the passage of ObamaCare.

Of course, the left, and in particular the George Soros-led character assassins at Media Matters for America (I mean you, Jamison Foser, Eric Boehlert, and Terry Krepel) are largely responsible for the civil unrest that is growing across America. Anyone who supported ObamaCare is responsible for the tide of discontent that now threatens to tear the nation apart.

Wouldn't it something if an even stronger group of conservatives showed up tomorrow and told these hypocrites where to stick it.

Vatican Lashes Out At New York Times Over Abuse Scandal

YahooNews.com:

The church on Wednesday presented its highest-level official response yet to one of the most explosive recent revelations regarding sex abuse — a story the Times broke on the church's decision in the 1990s not to defrock a Wisconsin priest accused of molesting deaf boys.

It was the latest in a series of attacks on the press: Last week, L'Osservatore Romano, denounced what it said was a "clear and despicable intention" by the media to strike at Benedict "at any cost."

In the article posted Wednesday on the Vatican's Web site, Cardinal William Levada, head of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, wrote: "I am not proud of America's newspaper of record, the New York Times, as a paragon of fairness."

Levada, an American, said the newspaper wrongly used the case of the Rev. Lawrence Murphy to find fault in Benedict's handling of abuse cases.

A Times spokeswoman defended the articles and said no one has cast doubt on the reported facts.

"The allegations of abuse within the Catholic church are a serious subject, as the Vatican has acknowledged on many occasions," said Diane McNulty. "Any role the current pope may have played in responding to those allegations over the years is a significant aspect of this story."

Listen, the Pope is the head of the Catholic church, therefore yes, he deserves some blame for longstanding child abuse within the faith--the buck stops with him and he can't run from that. But it's just like the Times and the rest of the liberal media (which less and less folks are reading, wonder why?) to use this scandal to not only degrade the Pope, but paint the entire church as nothing but a sex-crazed, orgy with leadership that looks the other way.

Bottom line, the Catholic church needs to enforce a strict One-Strike-You're-Out rule on priests caught abusing boys and they need to do a better job on working with local police to make sure these perverts with robes get locked up. Then too, change the damn rule already and let priests get married--it's not only practical in today's times, but it makes common sense and it'll help to rid the church of sexual abuse. I don't believe for a second that most Catholic priests molest boys. I'd think that most Catholics feel the same, but that doesn't mean that there still isn't a problem within the church that needs to be rectified immediately. And as busy and old as the Pope is, he needs to make sex abuse a priority. However, leave it to the liberal media with their bias and it's no surprise that they'd use this scandal to feed their own, personal hate for religion
.

Liberal Actor Matthew Modine Wonders Out Loud: Why Does Bin Laden Hate Us?

God, are the loons in Hollyweird stupid:

Lee Ermey, the ex-Marine-turned-actor who played the drill instructor in Full Metal Jacket, Stanley Kubrick’s classic 1987 film, parlayed his role into success as an American folk hero, particularly via his long-running shows on the History Channel, such as Mail Call and Lock ‘n’ Load. It took co-star Adam Baldwin a bit longer to find comparable fame, but he’s catching up fast. As Baldwin told PJM’s Ed Driscoll recently on PJM’s weekly Sirius-XM radio show, he was named TV Guide’s “Sexiest Newcomer” in 2005, despite an acting career that dates back to the early 1980s.

The American public was able to see past both actors’ over-the-top, Strangelovian parodies of Vietnam-era Marines required by Kubrick to find those rare Hollywood performers whose worldviews resonate with flyover country.

In contrast, Matthew Modine, who played “Private Joker,” the star and the only introspective character in Kubrick’s otherwise dark film, has fallen a bit by the wayside. He’s found steady work as a character actor. But his co-starring role in 1995’s Cutthroat Island may have permanently ended his bankability as a leading man in films. According to the Internet Movie Database, the abortive Geena Davis star vehicle was dubbed “the biggest financial loss to this date” by the Guinness Book of Records, with a loss of over 100 million dollars at the box office.

Modine’s boilerplate Hollywood politics aren’t helping to rebuild an emotional connection with most Americans, either. He was recently interviewed on CNN, where he came out with this gem:

Imagine if somebody were to really sit down with Osama Bin Ladin and say, “listen man, what is it that you’re so angry at me about that you’re willing to have people strap bombs to themselves, or get inside get inside of airplanes and fly them into buildings.” That would be the miracle if we can get, sit down and talk to our enemies and find a way for them to hear us.

Yes, just imagine. Maybe it would be like the Munich Agreement of 1938, after which British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain declared “peace in our time.”

Whoops.

Unfortunately, Matthew Modine is not alone in his way of thinking. Too few people really understand the jihadist threat and what drives it. Our friend Matthew has likely never heard of the Muslim Brotherhood (officially known as al-Ikhwan al-Muslimin), which included amongst its membership Sayyid Qutb, an Egyptian who spent time in Colorado as a college student in the 1940s. The Islamist terror group al-Qaeda grew in part from the seeds planted by Qutb.
