Alleged Killer Professor Amy Bishop Killed Her Brother In 1986, Released With No Charges By Liberal Democrat William Delahunt

UPI.com:
The biology professor at the University of Alabama Huntsville charged with killing three colleagues shot her brother dead in 1986, police said Saturday.

Amy Bishop, a mother of four, allegedly opened fire at a biology department meeting Friday afternoon in Alabama. Investigators said she left her handgun in a bathroom and called her husband for a ride, The Huntsville Times reported.

She was charged with a single count of capital murder Saturday. Her husband, James Anderson, was detained with her Friday but has not been charged.

In Braintree, Mass., Police Chief Paul Frazier said at a Saturday news conference that Bishop, then 20, was arrested after her brother, Seth, 18, was shot dead in the family home, WCVB-TV, Boston, reported. He said Bishop was released without being charged by order of John Polio, the chief at the time, a decision that left police officers on duty at the time "frustrated."

All records of the shooting have disappeared, Frazier said, except for a brief note in the booking log.

Polio, now 86, said there was no coverup. He said the shooting was investigated by District Attorney William Delahunt, now a congressman, who determined it was accidental.

Unbelievable! William Delahunt is currently a congressman in liberal Massachusetts, He's in the midst of a tough fight for his seat with Republican Joseph D. Malone. Delahunt has a history of extremist leftwing positions, including attacks against the Iraq War and being soft on crime once getting a criminal out on furlough, who later killed someone. To think, Bishop supposedly killed 3 of her peers because she didn't get her tenure. This woman killed her own brother and was let back on the streets by a liberal AD whose now a congressman fighting for his job. This doesn't look good at all.

Democrat Senator Diane Feinstein Used Hand Notes During 1990 Debate

Of course, the elite are much, much, much smarter than Palin, so they'd never be caught using hand notes during a speech. Only stupid people do that.

New York Liberals Call Harold Ford A 'Carpetbagger', Had No Problem With Hillary Clinton

Honestly, I've never been a fan of Harold Ford and he's made quite an ass of himself of late backtracking on conservative issues he once held (i.e. flip-flopping on abortion and gay marriage). But whatever, because Ford seems to be getting the most heat for his possible run senator in the state of New York because he's a "carpetbagger":

Harold Ford Jr.—the probable opponent for Kirsten Gillibrand’s senate seat—likes to say he’s no carpetbagger, but he forgot to tie up a few loose ends when he left his home state of Tennessee. “I am a New Yorker, I am a New Yorker,” he repeated mantra-like on MSNBC, and yet he’s never filed a tax return for his Wall Street job in the state. Not just that, he still owns a condo in Memphis. According to his web site, he splits his time between New York and Tennessee. Need more damning facts? He has a Tennessee driver’s license (which is actually illegal for a New York resident it turns out) and has never voted in New York.

Earlier Ford said that his tax returns are proof of his solid New York status, but now he’s amended that. "I'm in the process," said Ford on Thursday. "Let me be clear, I pay my quarterly estimates. I will file a return for the first time for last year come April, when taxes are to be filed. And if I become a candidate, I'll comply with all of the disclosures that candidates are asked to disclose." One accountant told the Daily News he may have to give up 10 percent of the income that was previously taxed only in his home state.
After she left the White House in 2000, Hillary Clinton moved to New York and only 3 years later became the state's junior senator. Don't recall liberals here getting all bent-out-of-shape over that move. So could it be that Ford's Tennessee (aka 'Southerner') roots are what's really pissing the Left off? Especially in New York? Absolutely. Funny that Ford doesn't mention Billary (and RFK Jr.) more when faced with "carpetbaggers" accusations.

Terrorists Putting Explosives In Breast Implants

British intelligence agencies have reportedly monitored terrorist communications bragging that women suicide bombers have already undergone surgery to hide explosive bombs in their breast implants.

"You could certainly put a liquid of any kind in a saline device, and a gel implant theoretically could be opened and replaced with a different type of gel," said Maryland plastic surgeon Dr. Craig Person.

"I believe that any liquid in a breast implant, or any gel with a silicone-type of implant would be hard to detect with a body scanner," Person told 9NewsNow.

Terrorism experts agree.

"The federal government has not put into place any system for detecting explosives at passengers' screening checkpoints," said Larry Johnson, the Managing Director Of Berg Associates.

The flipside is more encouraging.

"What we've seen is, at least, the al qaeda explosives competence, while they are visionary with their devices, they're not terribly competent with actually being able to get something to detonate," Johnson said.

Stupid Liberals To 'Un-Marry' For Gay Rights

NewsBusters.org:
Romantic comedies and candlelight dinners are two common activities that couples like to engage in on Valentine’s Day, but Bill Talen is offering a rather, uhh, unique suggestion on February 14: un-marry your spouse for gay rights.

USA Today reported that Talen is inviting all couples to participate in the “unMarriage event,” taking place in New York City, which apparently isn’t anything new. Talen, who is also known as Rev. Billy, invites all to join in on this event on his website and writes, “Join hundreds of couples at the Bethesda Fountain in Central Park this Valentine’s Day for a mass ritual in support of all the rights of ALL people to marry whomever they wish.”

He continues to write, “Brides and Grooms will suspend their vows in a ritual officiated by Reverend Billy. Tragic and hopeful love songs will be sung. Participants will be issued an official unmarried certificate suitable for framing.” How romantic.
Don’t fret if you aren’t married; “the unwed are also welcome to join the ritual as we declare a moratorium on all weddings until gay weddings are legalized and California Prop 8 is overturned.”

USA Today didn’t seem to find anything strange about the idea and wrote that, “The unMarry idea isn't original – Sarah Silverman made the same pledge on The View last week, saying getting married right now ‘is like joining a country club that wouldn't allow Blacks or Jews.’” Yep, that’s exactly right.

Always gotta insert the Blacks people into the cesspool, don't they? Either way, if they really believed that people should be able to marry "whomever they wish", then why isn't "Rev. Billy" (no doubt, he got his reverend card in the mail 3 to 5 days after filling up an application) and his flock standing up for the polygamists and/or polyamorous couples in this country who also can't marry legally? Don't they have the same 'rights' as the gays do to marry 'whomever they wish'? Why is it acceptable to remove 'discrimination' on the basis of 'sexual orientation,' but continue to permit and perpetuate in legislation and common law other forms of 'discrimination'? Either you eliminate all forms of 'discrimination' or you leave the current definition alone. Of course, they have little to say about that.

Obama And Joe Biden Take Credit For Iraq Success They Opposed

FOXNews.com:

As senators, Barack Obama and Joe Biden both opposed the troop surge in Iraq -- and Biden even wanted to divide the country into three sections.

But as vice president, Biden is taking credit for success in Iraq.

"I am very optimistic about Iraq," he said. "I mean, this could be one of the great achievements of this administration."

But Republican Sen. Jim Inhofe of Oklahoma, a member of the Armed Services Committee, said you cannot oppose the surge and then claim it for your legacy.

"When Joe Biden was in the Senate and Obama was in the Senate, they authored and were the chief architect of the resolution opposing the surge," he said.

The vice president also took credit for the troop drawdown.

"You're going to see 90,000 American troops come marching home by the end of the summer," he said. "You're going to see a stable government in Iraq that is actually moving toward a representative government."

But the drawdown was negotiated in the Status of Forces Agreement before the Obama administration took office.

"The reduction in U.S. forces that is under way right now is in fact important and it's largely the continuation of the policy that President Bush had set in place when he negotiated the drawdown schedule with Prime Minister Maliki at the end of 2008," Michael O'Hanlon of the Brookings Institution told Fox News.

In fact, the agreement called for having U.S. troops out of Iraqi cities by June 30, 2009, and all U.S. combat troops out by the end of 2011.

"The timetable for withdrawing those troops had been worked on for a long time, way preceding this administration coming into power, and that timetable really centered on success in Iraq," said Col. Bill Cowan, a Fox News contributor. "That success starting really after the surge that was implemented by the previous administration."

Hypocrites.

Bill Clinton Hospitalized For Chest Pains, Doing OK

YahooNews.com:
Former President Bill Clinton had two stents inserted in one of his heart arteries after being hospitalized with chest pains, an adviser said Thursday. Clinton, 63, "is in good spirits and will continue to focus on the work of his foundation and Haiti's relief and long-term recovery efforts," said adviser Douglas Band.

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton left Washington and headed to New York to be with her husband, who underwent the procedure at New York Presbyterian Hospital.

Stents are tiny mesh scaffolds used to prop open an artery after it is unclogged in an angioplasty procedure. Doctors thread a tube through a blood vessel in the groin to a blocked artery, inflate a balloon to flatten the clog, and slide the stent into place.

That is a different treatment from what Clinton had in 2004, when clogged arteries first landed him in the hospital. He underwent quadruple bypass surgery because of four blocked arteries, some of which had squeezed almost completely shut.

Angioplasty, which usually includes placing stents, is one of the most common medical procedures done worldwide. More than half a million stents are placed each year in the United States.

Countdown on the first promiment liberal to use Clinton's health to get ObamaCare passed begins now.

Michelle Obama Refuses To Take The Sarah Palin Bait

Michelle O. may be a lot of things (starting with ANGRY!), but she ain't stupid. I mean, I understand the utter hate and contempt liberal pundits have for Sarah Palin: she's more popular that ever, continues to spout conservative values and speaks to working-class Americans (instead of talking down to them like the idiots most liberals think Americans are). But Michelle Obama, for all her flaws, is too smart to play that game. Why come off as yet another liberal elite looking down on America by bashing Sarah Palin? Michelle may not "know her", but she's damn well heard of Palin and she knows Citizen Sarah remains popular for a reason. Better to take a pass on Palin then join the rest of the condescending, know-it-all, liberal elites already making fun of her.

Alabama Puts Planned Parenthood Clinic On Probation After Undercover Sting

FOXNews.com:

A Planned Parenthood clinic in Alabama has been put on probation by the state after an undercover sting helped reveal that underage teens had been receiving abortions there without parental consent.

State health officials said the Birmingham, Ala., abortion clinic has until next week to present its plan to correct violations involving minors receiving abortions.

Investigators with the health department said records at the clinic showed several minors aged 13-15 had received abortions without proper verification of parental consent since November 2008.

An activist with "Live Action," a California-based anti-abortion group, posed as a pregnant 14-year-old girl who needed a secret abortion. In an audio tape from the visit, an employee allegedly suggests that someone other than a parent or legal guardian could give consent.

The group's claim last year led Alabama health officials to investigate.

Planned Parenthood has grown to be a billion-dollar business by exploiting the young, naive, and reckless. No surprise that they'd ignore the laws of the land if it affects their year-end profit margin.

Poll: GOP Making Striking Gains Against Dems

Newsmax.com:
A new Washington Post/ABC News poll is signaling that the Republican Party’s resurgence is gaining strength as a growing number of Americans seem to think conservatives may be better at managing the economy than President Barack Obama and the Democrats.

The poll of 1,004 adults nationwide shows Republicans have narrowed the gap with the Democrats when it comes to who voters trust more to deal with the country’s problems. This shift erodes one of what had been Obama’s major political advantages.

Last summer, Obama enjoyed a 20-point advantage over congressional Republicans when it came to who the public thought would be more trustworthy when it comes to handling the economy, healthcare, the deficit and terrorism.

But that advantage has since evaporated. Although Obama’s overall job approval rating comes in at 51 percent, a majority of Americans now disapprove of the way the president has handled these same issues.
Yeah loons, keep pushing health care "reform" instead of jobs and please, please, please keep blaming Bush instead of the current guy, his inept administration and the ass-backwards clowns in the Democratic-owned Congress he runs. Please keep it up, clearly the American public is buying it.

New York Daily News Uses John Murtha's Death To Smear President Bush

Tho they employ the arrogant, Bush-hating, liberal elitist and Keith Olbermann-wannabee Mike Lupica, I had a lot of respect for the New York Daily News before this. Then again, with all the power the narcissistic Lupica has at the NYDN, I wouldn't be surprised if he was in charge of the News online department now too.

Obama Stan Douglas Wilder Jumps Off The Bandwagon

Seems to be a lot of this coming from former sharecroppers on the Obama plantation of late:

Doug Wilder, who was elected Virginia governor in 1989, launched a broadside against the man he supported in the Democratic primaries when most senior party figures were championing Hillary Clinton.

He had backed Mr Obama because of his promise of "change", he wrote in an article for Politico.

"Now, across many fronts – in public policy and politics alike – people have rightly been questioning whether the change has been for the better. Unfortunately, the answer so far is clear: not yet."

The former governor continued: "The need is becoming more obvious by the day: He must overhaul his own team, replacing the admittedly brilliant advisers who helped elect him with others more capable of helping him govern. Getting elected and getting things done for the people are two different jobs."

Mr Wilder's surprise intervention came as a Washington Post poll delivered further bad news for Mr Obama. The survey found Republicans have significantly narrowed the gap with Democrats on who is trusted to deal with America's problems – a sign that Republicans are set to make major gains in the midterm elections.

When asked how would vote in November's midterms, 46 per cent said they would back Democrats and 46 per cent Republicans. Just four months ago, Democrats held a 12-point advantage.

On all the big domestic issues such as economy, health care, employment and the budget – where Democrats hold traditional advantages – slim majorities of Americans disapproved of the job Mr Obama is doing.

Bottom line, the drafting of President Hopenchange has so far been a bust on the scale of Ryan Leaf.

Small Business Owners Angry At Obama Are Responsible For Bush "Miss Me Yet?" Billboard

CityPages.com:
Minnesota Public Radio's Bob Collins thought he was hallucinating last week when he was driving a rural stretch of I-35 south after a visit to Wrenshall when he spied a billboard with The Decider's happy-go-lucky visage staring out at traffic, accompanied by the message, "Miss me yet?"

That was no hallucination, as it turns out. By Monday, a listener had e-mailed a picture of the same billboard to the station, so Collins, who writes the Newscut blog, posted the photo along with a public appeal to find out who had paid for the sign - and whether they were serious, or making a joke.

"It was a nice little yarn," Collins said. "Almost a throwaway post."

By Tuesday afternoon, he knew who the billboard's backers were and posted the news. Mary Teske, the general manager of Schubert & Hoey Outdoor Advertising said it was paid for by a group of small business owners unhappy with Washington who evidently wanted to get their message out in a fun way. But by then the story had gone viral and turned into a time suck for Collins.
As much as the Left wants to paints this as the work of conservatives or some Far-Right, anti-Obama cretins, turns out it's just a group of small business owners trying to make themselves heard. And why shouldn't small business owners be angry? As much as Barry loves to talk about his stimulus money and how much it'll help small business owners, thanks to a Democratic congress obsessed with getting ObamaCare passed and constant in-fighting, small business owners are currently being left out in the cold by the Obama administration. While under President Bush small businesses not only grew, but thrived. So of course, they miss Bush, so does 56% of the rest of the country.

ACORN Eligible For $4 Billion In Federal Taxpayer Money In Obama FY2011 Budget

CRC.org:
Yes, you read that right.

Even with all its troubles, the ACORN organized crime syndicate is eligible for $4 billion (well, really $3.99 billion in CDBG slush funds) in President Obama’s fiscal 2011 budget.

That’s because a federal court order issued by a Clinton-appointed judge prevents Congress and the Obama administration from cutting off ACORN.

Will the temporary injunction issued by U.S. District Court Nina Gershon be lifted?

Who knows.

Will ACORN boss Bertha Lewis, who is currently doing a victory lap across America’s TV screens as she celebrates the legal troubles of hidden camera videographer James O’Keefe, ever be investigated for her role in the cover-up of a nearly million dollar embezzlement within ACORN?

Who knows.

Barry takes care of his own, no matter how corrupt they are.

Magazines Worship Of Obama Equats To Circulations Plummet

Mediadecoder.com:

Magazines’ newsstand sales plummeted in the last six months of 2009, and subscriptions dropped as well.

Newsstand sales for the 472 consumer titles in the United States measured by the Audit Bureau of Circulations declined 9.1 percent, to 39.3 million, in the last half of 2009 versus the same period a year earlier, the organization reported this morning. That follows an 11.12 percent decline from July through December 2007 compared to July through December 2008.

Some of the well-known titles with dramatic single-copy declines included W, down 41.7 percent to about 25,000 for an average issue; Newsweek, down 41.3 percent to about 62,000 (Newsweek had decreased the number of copies on sale, noted a spokesman); SmartMoney, down 37 percent to about 26,000; Time, down 34.9 percent to about 90,000; Good Housekeeping, down 30.7 percent to 395,000; and Redbook, down 30.1 percent to 126,000.

Newsstand sales tend to be driven by the economy and are a more timely indicator of a magazine’s vitality than subscriptions, which tend to lag and which can be driven by heavy discounting. While newsstand sales are a small percentage of most magazines’ circulation, they are a profitable part of it — publishers typically charge only a fraction of the newsstand price for a subscription copy.

Overall circulation, including subscriptions, fell 2.23 percent.
When you consider that left-wing cable news channels who worship Barry like MSNBC have also suffered from a huge decline in ratings of late, blaming the economy comes off as a very convenient excuse.

Arianna Huffington's Double Standards On 'Partisan' Rhetoric

John Murtha Dead At 77

CNN.com:
Rep. John Murtha of Pennsylvania, a longtime fixture on the House subcommittee that oversees Pentagon spending, has died following complications from gallbladder surgery, according to his office. He was 77.

The veteran Democratic congressman recently underwent scheduled laparoscopic surgery to remove his gallbladder.

Murtha was hospitalized in December and had to postpone a hearing with Defense Secretary Robert Gates on the administration's strategy in Afghanistan. The congressman returned to work after a few days in the hospital and helped oversee final passage of the 2010 defense appropriations bill.

Murtha represented Pennsylvania's 12th congressional district in the House since 1974, making him the chamber's eighth most senior member. According to his biography on the House Web site, Murtha was the first Vietnam War combat veteran elected to Congress.

He was considered one of "the kings of pork" on Capitol Hill by taxpayer watchdog groups for requesting tens of millions of dollars in earmarks.

On his House Web site, Murtha strongly defended earmarks, saying, "I believe that elected representatives of the people understand their constituents and districts best." Supporters said his efforts have helped bring thousands of jobs to western Pennsylvania.

Never liked the man, but condolences to the congressman's family and friends.

Mitch Landrieu, Conservative Democrat, Elected Mayor Of New Orleans

HuffPo.com:
Frustrated by term-limited Mayor Ray Nagin's leadership of New Orleans since Hurricane Katrina, voters elected Louisiana Lt. Gov. Mitch Landrieu to succeed him Saturday, turning to a political scion to speed up the city's recovery.

Landrieu, 49, became the majority-black city's first white mayor since 1979, the year his father Moon left the office. The mayor-elect, a moderate Democrat, won in a landslide over a field of 10 opponents in a campaign that also focused on the city's violent crime and slumping finances.

Flanked by family members including his father and his sister, U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu, D-La., Landrieu said the victory showed voters had decided to "strike a blow for unity."

Voting came amid Carnival celebrations and preparations for the New Orleans Saints' appearance in the Super Bowl on Sunday. Landrieu's victory party was a nod to both: the ballroom of a the Roosevelt hotel – recently reopened after a post-Katrina restoration – was festooned with Saints-themed black and gold balloons. A roving brass band played Mardi Gras tunes and he prefaced his victory speech by leading the crowd in the Saints' "Who Dat" cheer.

With 85 percent of precincts reporting, Landrieu had 67 percent of the vote.

Landrieu, who lost to Nagin in a runoff four years ago, was a welcome change for some voters who grew frustrated with the city's current mayor. Little known outside New Orleans before Katrina, Nagin became a central, and sometimes controversial figure, in the city's struggle to recover. Though he won re-election as he courted black voters in the 2006 campaign. Nagin notoriously pledged after the hurricane that New Orleans would be a "chocolate city" again, offending many whites.

Good for the city of New Orleans. Ray Nagin was a horrible mayor. His total incompetence (when he wasn't pointing fingers at everyone but himself) in dealing with Hurricane Katrina should've gotten him fired a long time ago. People around the country have grown tired of the status quo of corrupt, Democrat leadership. And the Left no longer has George W. Bush to blame for everything wrong on the planet as folks realize that its actually Democrats that have been in charge for Congress for the past 3 years. It's now the Obama Era and Ray Nagin has become another casualty.
