Tim Tebow's 'Controversial' Super Bowl Ad

This?!? This is what the radical, feminist Nazi's on the Left got all OUTRAGED!!! over for the past month?!? Unbelievable. Thank God for courageous women like Pam Tebow. I admire her for her CHOICE!!!

Mitch Landrieu, Conservative Democrat, Elected Mayor Of New Orleans

HuffPo.com:
Frustrated by term-limited Mayor Ray Nagin's leadership of New Orleans since Hurricane Katrina, voters elected Louisiana Lt. Gov. Mitch Landrieu to succeed him Saturday, turning to a political scion to speed up the city's recovery.

Landrieu, 49, became the majority-black city's first white mayor since 1979, the year his father Moon left the office. The mayor-elect, a moderate Democrat, won in a landslide over a field of 10 opponents in a campaign that also focused on the city's violent crime and slumping finances.

Flanked by family members including his father and his sister, U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu, D-La., Landrieu said the victory showed voters had decided to "strike a blow for unity."

Voting came amid Carnival celebrations and preparations for the New Orleans Saints' appearance in the Super Bowl on Sunday. Landrieu's victory party was a nod to both: the ballroom of a the Roosevelt hotel – recently reopened after a post-Katrina restoration – was festooned with Saints-themed black and gold balloons. A roving brass band played Mardi Gras tunes and he prefaced his victory speech by leading the crowd in the Saints' "Who Dat" cheer.

With 85 percent of precincts reporting, Landrieu had 67 percent of the vote.

Landrieu, who lost to Nagin in a runoff four years ago, was a welcome change for some voters who grew frustrated with the city's current mayor. Little known outside New Orleans before Katrina, Nagin became a central, and sometimes controversial figure, in the city's struggle to recover. Though he won re-election as he courted black voters in the 2006 campaign. Nagin notoriously pledged after the hurricane that New Orleans would be a "chocolate city" again, offending many whites.

Good for the city of New Orleans. Ray Nagin was a horrible mayor. His total incompetence (when he wasn't pointing fingers at everyone but himself) in dealing with Hurricane Katrina should've gotten him fired a long time ago. People around the country have grown tired of the status quo of corrupt, Democrat leadership. And the Left no longer has George W. Bush to blame for everything wrong on the planet as folks realize that its actually Democrats that have been in charge for Congress for the past 3 years. It's now the Obama Era and Ray Nagin has become another casualty.

Liberal Chicago Media Covers For Democrat Wife-Beater Scott Lee Cohen

TheRealityCheck.org:
Well, the Chicago controlled Illinois media has done it again. It’s allowed another unsavory Democrat candidate with criminal propensities to slide by unnoticed and to be placed before the voters un-exposed as the low-end sort of fellow he is. And, just like clockwork, this drug addled nut has been elevated to nominee by the Democrat sheeple of the Land of Lincoln — proving that Democrats will vote for a ham sandwich if one is put before them. This media malfeasance only works in favor of Illinois Democrats, though. To prove it all one need do is remember the 2004 case of Republican Jack Ryan. We have but to recall how the Illinois media destroyed this man over what they claimed in wide-eyed shock was his outrageous behavior and remember how the Chicago controlled media torpedoed this man’s career over what they felt was his unsuitability for higher office.

It’s all a pretty ho-hum tale of media malfeasance and a case of the Democrat Party’s typical sort of low-brow candidates in Chillinois… or is it Illcago? It happens all the time in here, in any case. The Democrats put up a criminal as a candidate, the media yawns and reports on some Hollywood story instead, the voters that claim a Democrat ballot vote him to the head of the class, and then the media suddenly wakes up with cries of faux outrage. It’s a typical pattern, really.

This current case is that of Scott Lee Cohen, pawn shop king, wife abuser, steroid addict, and now your Democratic candidate for Lt. Governor. The guy really has no respectable qualifications for office. As a teen he flunked out of High School — but did get his GED, at least. He was once addicted to steroids so badly that he beat up his wife repeatedly because of the fits of rage the drug brought upon him. He was once arrested for holding a knife to the throat of live-in girl friend who also happened to be a prostitute. It’s a pretty messy life Mr. Cohen’s lived.

Scott Lee Cohen is certainly the Jerry Springer candidate, here. Yet the Chicago led Illinois media was practically silent about this low-end character whose life reads like a rejected sub-plot from a bad 70s cop show. And the half-witted Democrat voters of the Sucker State* voted him right in as their official nominee for Lt. Governor. The Democrat Party isn’t above criticism, either. Cohen’s endorsement list included prominent Chicago Aldermen and groups like the Illinois Committee for Honest Government and Planned Parenthood.

Of course, with all the many Democrat pols that end up in jail in Illinois, I can’t say that Cohen is really all that unusual at this point. But whether his past would have caused voters to shy from him or not, the media fell down on the job of bothering to inform them of it.

Corrupt Democrats in Illinois are a dime a dozen. Hell, Barry's from there. he should know. And the fact that Lee won't step down just shows you how bad the state of the Democrat party is under Barry's leadership.

Sarah Palin To Speak To Tea Party Activists

Newsmax.com:
These are Sarah Palin's people. Just ask them. At the mere mention of her name, "tea party" activists light up and whip out "Saracudda" buttons — a play off her "Sara Barracuda" nickname from her high school basketball team in Alaska.

With a dash of familiarity, many say they didn't vote for Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., in 2008 — they voted for "Sarah." Quite a few see her as the right person to carry their limited-government, low-tax, freedom-fighting mantel — if only she wanted it.
"She is the one," says Loren Nelson of Seattle. "And she's gonna do it." Maybe.

The 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee isn't saying whether she'll run for president in 2012.
In fact, Republican observers say she's seemingly done more lately to establish herself as a political celebrity focused on publicity rather than a political candidate focused on policy.

If she does launch a White House bid, she has a natural constituency with this anti-establishment grass-roots network that's motivated by anger over the growth of government, budget-busting spending and President Barack Obama's policies.
Sarah Palin shouldn't run for President in 2012. She's become too polarizing and leaving the governor post midway in her term last year hurt her credibility as a politician big-time. Besides, I'm still confident that Mike Huckabee is the best bet to take down Barry in 2012. As for Palin, I'd go the Oprah route and set up my own brand, including a talk show based around conservative ideals and self-responsibility. Palin has a legion of followers and Oprah's retiring next year....the window's gonna open for someone to take her place and why not Palin? Young women around the world especially need a conservative role model and who better than Sarah Palin to provide it? And just like Oprah she could not only be far more influential as a talk show host, but make gazillions too.

Senator Richard Shelby Defends Blocking Obama Nominees

Newsmax.com:

Democrats are criticizing a Republican senator from Alabama for blocking every one of the president's nominees over spending disputes involving his state.

Sen. Richard Shelby has placed a "hold" on every nomination, which delays the Senate from acting on them. White House spokesman Robert Gibbs on Friday called the tactic a "poster child" for what's broken in Washington and said the senator is preventing qualified nominees from serving in important government positions.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., said Shelby's move is holding up about 70 appointments, including a critical top Defense Department position overseeing deployments to the war in Afghanistan.

Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky offered little defense, saying Thursday that he didn't know much about Shelby's concerns and that he would try to hash them out "sooner rather than later."

Senators frequently block individual appointments, but Shelby's blanket hold is unusual. His spokesman issued a statement about the holds Friday, citing concerns about a contract for an Air Force refueling tanker that could be built in Alabama and a new FBI explosives center that Shelby wants built there. Shelby argues the projects are critical national security priorities.

"He has made the administration aware of these concerns and is willing to discuss them at any time," the statement says.

"The biggest earmarker of them all is the President of the United States." Ouch!

Keith Olbermann's Defends Low Ratings, Claims Rightwing Smear Campaign

Much as I'd love to see it, I don't think Olbermann's in any danger of being cancelled. MSNBC relies on its plethora of leftist minions to stay afloat and they need Krazy Keith to anchor the ship, no matter how fast it's sinking. But his interpretation of the ratings is suspect at best. It’s not just that he’s comparing December (where viewer numbers are always low thanks to the holiday season) to January. He’s also comparing a month (December) when he wasn’t even on the air for two weeks to a month (January) when he was. With all that he’s trumpeting a 5% increase? There’s a reason why ratings comparisons are usually made month to month (January 2009 vs January 2010), and there’s a reason why Olbermann came up with a misleading defense: now that he's getting hit from leftist "comedians" like Jon Stewart, he knows that even his most loyal audience is starting to grow tired of his baseless, pompous act. But he'll continue with the bitter partisanship and tired, jealous stabs at Bill O'reilly because he's too stupid to do otherwise.

Hypocrite CoverGirl Spokeswoman Ellen DeGeneres Says Women Shouldn't Be Worried About Outer Beauty

Watch CBS News Videos Online

Newsbusters.org:
During a web-only interview with CBS's Katie Couric to promote her new role on "American Idol," comedienne Ellen DeGeneres went on a rant about our sexist culture that demands women look more attractive than men.

There's just one problem: DeGeneres is the face of Proctor and Gamble's famous makeup line CoverGirl. In fact, she even appeared in a well known commercial saying, "Inner beauty is important -- but not nearly as important as outer beauty."

Too bad a serious journalist like Couric didn't think to ask if DeGeneres's fans might get confused. Then again, The Perky One would have had to confront her own complicity in flouting short skirts on network news programs and giving condescending interviews to women like Sarah Palin.

Without regard to the obvious hypocrisy, Couric teed up the subject by asking if DeGeneres was concerned for women who "are so obsessed and worried and spend so much time thinking about their bodies." DeGeneres used the question to accuse American culture of a sexist double standard.

Do liberal celebrities like Ellen DeGeneres ever think before they talk? I mean, with this being the YouTube age, you'd think she'd be a tad, bit smart enough to realize that she sound just a little hypocritical here.

Obama Admits Health Care "Reform" May Die In Congress

YahooNews.com:
After insisting for a year that failure was not an option, President Barack Obama is now acknowledging his health care overhaul may die in Congress.

His remarks at a Democratic National Committee fundraiser Thursday night sounded contradictory at times, complicating congressional leaders' effort to revive health care legislation as Democrats hunger for guidance from the White House. Even while saying he still wanted to get the job done, Obama counseled going slow, and bowed to new political realities. Democrats no longer command a filibuster-proof Senate majority, and voters and lawmakers are far more concerned with jobs and the economy than with enacting sweeping and expensive changes to the health system.

"I think it's very important for us to have a methodical, open process over the next several weeks, and then let's go ahead and make a decision," Obama said Thursday night.

"And it may be that ... if Congress decides we're not going to do it, even after all the facts are laid out, all the options are clear, then the American people can make a judgment as to whether this Congress has done the right thing for them or not," the president said. "And that's how democracy works. There will be elections coming up and they'll be able to make a determination and register their concerns one way or the other during election time."

It seemed to be a shift in tone for the issue Obama campaigned on and made the centerpiece of his domestic agenda last year.

Hey, Barry's owned the House ever since he took office and he's had a supermajority in the Senate for almost a year now. He has no one to blame but Democrats for not getting this done, no matter how much his minions continue to shift the blame.

Charlie Sheen To Plead Guilty To Misdemeanor Assault

Canoe.com:

Charlie Sheen will be charged with misdemeanour assault and felony menacing ahead of a court hearing on Monday, according to a new U.S. report.

The actor was arrested on Christmas morning in Aspen, Colorado following a domestic dispute with his wife Brooke Mueller. He spent much of the day behind bars and then was ordered to stay away from his wife.

The temporary restraining order was briefly lifted last month to allow Sheen to visit Mueller in hospital, where she was battling pneumonia, and lawyers for the estranged couple are set to appear in court on Monday to request a judge relax the terms of the order, allowing the pair to resume contact.

But, before the hearing, Sheen will be charged, according to TMZ.com.

Insiders tells the website the criminal complaint will be filed late on Friday or on Monday morning.
By pleading to the misdemeanor Sheen will avoid serving any jail time, but it prevents him from getting his record sealed. Word out there is that the wife wants to get back together so they can be one happy family again. Any woman who lays down with a racist, bastard like Charlie Sheen gets what she deserves.

String Of Texas Church Fires, Liberal Media Says Nothing

FOXNews.com:

Eight Texas churches barely 150 miles apart have caught fire since New Year's Day, putting pastors and congregations on edge and on guard wondering whether theirs is next.

Authorities determined seven of those fires were intentionally set and they are investigating one that broke out Thursday as a possible arson. There have been no reported injuries or arrests, and federal officials aren't saying whether there's a connection.

Most people in these parts can't help but think they are.

"I think everybody is expecting more of these, to tell you the truth," said pastor David Mahfood, whose Baptist church in Tyler was destroyed in a Jan. 16 fire. "I think the worst is probably behind Tyler, but I'd worry about other cities."

Six of the seven arsons were just nine days apart, sending many congregations in east Texas scurrying to install security systems and prompting volunteers to keep close eyes on church properties from dusk to dawn. Federal and local authorities have released scant details and say they need more information.

"These things are painstakingly slow because a lot of evidence is lost in fire scenes," said Tom Crowley, a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives spokesman. "They're still working it, but we could use more leads."

The fires have struck a region where Christian stations fill the radio dial and an area newspaper runs a Bible verse on the front page every day. All seven churches varied in size and denomination.
Liberals really love hate crime laws because they legitimize deviant behavior and protect those who engage in it from folks who dare to preach values and morality. But if hate crime laws are to be applied fairly, then they should also apply to those who spread hate and violence against Christians. Indeed, violence against Christians is growing around the world, but the liberal media wouldn't let you know that. Think if this was a bunch of abortion clinics being burned to the ground, MSNBC, CNN and the whole lot of liberal press wouldn't be all over it? Funny that.

Clarence Thomas Defends SCOTUS Ruling For Corporations 1st Amendment Rights

WaPo.com:
U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas told Florida law students that corporations and unions have a First Amendment right to spend money on political candidates.

Thomas spoke Tuesday at Stetson University and defended the Supreme Court's recent decision that corporations and unions can spend freely from their treasuries to run political ads for or against specific candidates.

"I found it fascinating that the people who were editorializing against it were The New York Times Company and The Washington Post Company," Thomas said, according to a report in The New York Times. "These are corporations."

Thomas, who is scheduled to talk to University of Florida law students Thursday, voted with the majority last month in the 5-4 decision. The ruling earned a public scolding from President Obama during his State of the Union address last week.

Thomas did not directly address the flap over Obama's remarks, but he told Stetson students he wasn't there to hear them in person.

"I dont go because it has become so partisan and it's very uncomfortable for a judge to sit there," he said, adding that "theres a lot that you don't hear on TV - the catcalls, the whooping and hollering and under-the-breath comments."

Barry's disrespect of the Supreme Court, for making a decision that he didn't like, was a serious breach of protocol and a downright diss to the separation of powers laid out in our Constitution. The President doesn't tell SCOTUS how to vote and I don't blame Justice Thomas for not showing up to watch Barry speak from the bully pulpit. More justices should follow his lead.

Did John Edwards Beat Up His Wife Elizabeth?

Huliq.com:

The National Enquirer is reporting that John Edwards beat wife Elizabeth, 60, in a fight that ended their marriage. The revelation, according to the paper, came from a close friend of Elizabeth.

It was revealed last week that the couple had split. The close friend, who assed a lie detector test, the Enquirer noted, said:

"John lost his temper big-time. She has the divorce papers drawn up, but she can amend them to charge John with domestic violence. She's holding that over his head right now - and he's scared. Elizabeth is in control."

While John Edwards pooh-poohed the initial reports coming from the tabloid about his affair and his "love child," it was later revealed that the Enquirer was correct. The Enquirer crowed over the issue, and must be taken more seriously in these sorts of allegations, now.

The couple has been married for 32 years, and the attack was apparently the "final straw." Edwards also only recently admitted paternity of 2-year-old daughter Frances by mistress Rielle Hunter.

Despite the allegations and accusations over cheating and paternity, Elizabeth Edwards stood by John during his presidential runs. This even included a recurrence of her cancer, for which she is still undergoing treatment.

The full details of the beating are in the print edition of the Enquirer.

Wonder if Elizabeth leaked this story herself after she separated from John-Boy? Considering how conniving these two were, wouldn't surprise me.

Senator-Elect Scott Brown Demands To Be Sworn In Earlier Than Planned

YahooNews.com:
Massachusetts Republican Scott Brown changed course and demanded he be sworn in to replace the late Sen. Edward M. Kennedy on Thursday, an accelerated timetable that conservatives had been clamoring for and one that Democrats quickly accepted — and had already been moving to accommodate.

Brown said he wanted to be present for unspecified votes, and his swearing-in would give the GOP 41 votes in the Senate — the precise number it needs to sustain a filibuster of Democratic initiatives.

Jim Manley, a spokesman for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, said he expected a ceremony at 5 p.m. Thursday.

"If that's what he wants to do, I expect he'll be sworn in as early as (Thursday) afternoon," Manley said.

The people of Massachusetts elected Scott Brown to be their senator two weeks ago. Seat him already.

Racist Harry Reid Angry At Obama Vegas Remarks, Forces Him To Apologize

USAToday.com:
What's said in Las Vegas stays in Las Vegas -- though apparently that doesn't apply to what's said about Las Vegas elsewhere in the world.

President Obama is in trouble -- again -- with Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman over a comment citing Sin City.

Namely, this one yesterday in New Hampshire about saving money in tough economic times: "You don't blow a bunch of cash on Vegas when you're trying to save for college. You prioritize. You make tough choices. It's time your government did the same."

Goodman didn't see the point, noting that his city is suffering from a lack of lifeblood: Tourists who gamble. With cash.

"I'll do everything I can to give him the boot," Goodman said of Obama. "This president is a real slow learner."

A year ago, Obama said at a town hall in Indiana that corporations shouldn't use federal bailout money for trips to Las Vegas. That comment didn't sit well with city fathers either.

The president and Goodman have a quick chance to work things out. Obama is headed to Las Vegas later this month for a jobs event Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, a Nevada native facing a tough re-election bid.

We should also point out that Obama carried Nevada over John McCain in the 2008 election.

Obama also sent Reid a letter explaining he was trying to make a point about not overspending in a tight economy.

"There is no place better to have fun than Vegas," Obama wrote, "one of our country's great destinations."

The Oval couldn't agree more. Though some folks need to lighten up a little bit over there.

It's just funny watching Barry bend over backwards for his white, liberal, elitist massahs on the Left. Harry Reid makes racist remarks about him and there's Barry, like 5 minutes later, defending him. Barry refers to Vegas in a lighthearted speech about the economy, makes Reid angry and is then forced to write a letter explaining himself. What a sorry excuse for a black man, much less a President.

Democratic Opposition To Obama Giving Terrorists Miranda Rights Grows

CNN.com:
Congressional Democrats are increasingly concerned about the President's plan to bring Guantanamo detainees to the United States for trial, as a bipartisan group of lawmakers introduced legislation Tuesday to block it.

Eighteen senators, including two Democrats and one Independent, unveiled a bill Tuesday to withhold funding the President requested to try terror suspects in civilian courts.

"It's an unusual thing we're doing here," said Sen. Joe Lieberman, I-CT. "We are trying to use Congress' power of the purse to stop these trials."

The move comes a day after the President requested in his budget a boost in homeland security funding to help pay for the transfer and trials of detainees on U.S. soil.

One of the Democratic co-sponsors is Blanche Lincoln of Arkansas, who is facing a tough re-election battle this year.

When asked by CNN if the White House is being tone deaf in asking Democrats like her to support bringing Guantanamo detainees to the U.S., Lincoln replied: "I think I would be tone deaf if I didn't respond to the people who I believe are very concerned about how this is happening, and if I wasn't speaking out and speaking my mind. It's why I'm here today."

"I think its important for the administration to hopefully hear from those of us who do have grave concerns," said Lincoln.

A similar Senate measure got 55 votes in November, not enough to meet a 60 vote threshold to pass.
Chuck Schumer is behind the opposition. I can feel it. Schumer's catching major heat in New York City for Barry's stupidity here, his approval ratings are dropping and he's the mentor to junior senator Kristen Gillibrand, who may or may not be facing a tough race for Billary's old seat seat soon from Harold Ford come November. Funny what it takes for the idiots on the Left to use some common sense.

Jenny Sanford: Gov. Mark Sanford Refused To Be Faithful In Wedding Vows

ABDNews.com:
South Carolina first lady Jenny Sanford recalls how she made the "leap of faith" to marry husband Gov. Mark Sanford even though the groom refused to promise to be faithful, insisting that the clause be removed from their wedding vows.

"It bothered me to some extent, but ... we were very young, we were in love," she said in an exclusive interview with Barbara Walters to air on "20/20" Friday. "I questioned it, but I got past it ... along with other doubts that I had."

Sanford and her marriage were thrust into the national spotlight in June 2009 when her husband admitted that he had been secretly visiting his longtime lover in Argentina instead of hiking the Appalachian Trail, as he had told his staff.

I don't care how young you are. Any woman who marries a guy who outright warns you that he's probably gonna cheat on you in his marriage vows deserves to slapped silly.

White House Chief Rahm Emanuel Calls Liberal Group "F***ing Retarded"

ABCNews.com:

White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel apologized to the head of the Special Olympics today after the Wall Street Journal reported the fiery Chicagoan privately called a group of liberal activists "f---ing retarded."

Last August, Emanuel "showed up at a weekly strategy session featuring liberal groups and White House aides," the Journal's Peter Wallsten reported. "Some attendees said they were planning to air ads attacking conservative Democrats who were balking at Mr. Obama's health-care overhaul. 'F—ing retarded,' Mr. Emanuel scolded the group, according to several participants. He warned them not to alienate lawmakers whose votes would be needed on health care and other top legislative items."

A White House official confirms that Emanuel made the remark and reports that Emanuel called Tim Shriver last week when the Journal story first appeared to apologize to the disabled community and the apology was accepted.

"The White House remains committed to addressing the concerns and needs of Americans living with disabilities and recognizes that derogatory remarks demean us all," the official said. The apology was first reported by Politico's Ben Smith.

Heh.

Obama Bows To Tampa Mayor

NYDailyNews.com:
President Obama may be in for another bowing brouhaha.

Obama appears to greet the mayor of Tampa, Pam Iorio, with a bow in a picture taken last week by an Associated Press photographer.

The meeting between Obama and Mayor Iorio took place at MacDill Air Force Base, in Tampa.

Right-leaning media outlets quickly pounced on Bam's bend.

"The mayor of Tampa isn’t a Third World potentate, totalitarian dictator, or terrorist leader so I can’t understand why Obama would be in full-bow mode," a post on the conservative blog Red State read. "Is bowing now the standard way the President greets people these days?"

On cable, this morning's episode of Fox and Friends aired the photo and revisited past Obama-bowing controversies with a montage of shots in which the President is supposedly bowing.

"Originally people said, you know, the Pesident of the United States bows to no one," said host Steve Doocy. "But, as it turns out, he bows to everybody."

Seriously, is Barry still on the pipe? At least when he was going around bowing to foreign leaders, his minions could struggle to come up with an excuse for him, but he gets no pass for this s***. None. I mean, on what planet does anyone bow to a mayor? Ridiculous. A full year under Barry's belt and it's still amateur hour with this guy. Unbelievable.

Study Provides Evidence That Abstinence-Only Sex Education Can Be Effective

WaPo.com:

Sex education classes that focus on encouraging children to remain abstinent can convince a significant proportion to delay sexual activity, researchers reported Monday in a landmark study that could have major implications for the nation's embattled efforts to protect young people against unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases.

In the first carefully designed study to evaluate the controversial approach to sex ed, researchers found that only about a third of 6th and 7th graders who went through sessions focused on abstinence started having sex in the next two years. In contrast, nearly half of students who got other classes, including those that included information about contraception, became sexually active.

"I think we've written off abstinence-only education without looking closely at the nature of the evidence," said John B. Jemmott III, a professor at the University of Pennsylvania, who led the federally funded study. "Our study shows this could be one approach that could be used."

The research, published in the Archives of Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine, comes amid intense debate over how to reduce sexual activity, pregnancies, births and sexually transmitted diseases among children and teenagers. After declining for more than a decade, births, pregnancies and STDs among U.S. teens have begun increasing again.

The Obama administration eliminated more than $150 million in federal funding targeted at abstinence programs, which are relatively new and have little rigorous evidence supporting their effectiveness. Instead it is launching a new $114 million pregnancy prevention initiative that will fund only programs that have been shown scientifically to work. The administration Monday proposed expanding that program to $183 million next year. The move came after intensifying questions about the effectiveness of abstinence programs.

Human beings aren't animals, we are perfectly capable of not having sex. Peer pressure, lack of support and ridicule from liberals are the main reasons abstinence-only education doesn't work more, but abstinence is really just about good old fashion common sense and modesty. Teenagers especially should have the option to be educated about the choice to abstain from sex, as many are not only losing out on their youth to become parents, they're suffering from the risks of having unprotected sex.
