Black Liberal Danny Glover Says Global Warming Caused Haiti Earthquake

FOXNews.com:

Actor Danny Glover says the earthquake in Haiti is a result of global warming. Glover told GRITtv that it could have happened to any of the Caribbean island nations: "They are all in peril because of global warming."

Then, he lamented the failure of the climate summit in Copenhagen. As a result of that failure, he says, "this is what happened."

The dumb get dumber. Guess if that Copenhagen summit had went through, this earthquake wouldn't have happened. Yeah, that's it. Why the folks at Copenhagen would take out their wrath on the poor people of Haiti has to make you wonder, but I'm sure that Danny (dictator Hugo Chavez's BFF) will get back to us on that. What a tool.

Obama Using Bush To Help Martha Coakley???

Call me a cynic and sure it may be a reach, but since his minions in the liberal media have shown that they have no problem exploiting human tragedy to score political points, why wouldn't Barry? I mean, Limbaugh's already hinted at how the Haiti earthquake and its aftermath could help Obama with his liberal agenda and we all know how much Barry's team listens to Rush. Now Barry calls in President Bush to help lead relief efforts in Haiti (claiming of course, that he liked when Bush did it), and one can't help but think that a President suffering from low approval ratings and desperate to get his health care "reform" package passed, didn't think for two seconds about how convenient a coincidence it'd be have Bush up there, out in front for the American public to remind Obama stans of why they elected Barry. Really now.

Desperate Obama To Campaign For Martha Coaxley In Bid To Keep 'Ted Kennedy's Seat'

NYTimes.com:
In a last-ditch effort to avert a debacle for the Democrats, the White House announced that President Obama would campaign here on Sunday for Martha Coakley, the Democratic Senate candidate, amid growing signs that the race for Edward M. Kennedy’s Senate seat has become too close to call.

With a new Suffolk University/7 News poll showing the race in a virtual tie, the announcement is fraught with political peril for Mr. Obama — particularly if Ms. Coakley loses the seat to the Republican, State Senator Scott Brown. Nonetheless, the president’s advisers concluded that Mr. Obama’s fortunes were already tied to the outcome of the race, so there was no reason to keep him away from Massachusetts.

The special election for the seat is on Tuesday. Several polls in recent days indicated that Ms. Coakley was losing an earlier lead, and the Suffolk poll showed Mr. Brown with 50 percent of the vote and Ms. Coakley with 46 percent, a result within the poll’s four percentage point margin of sampling error.

Mr. Obama has already urged Democrats to the polls in a video message and recorded telephone messages. But with his principal domestic policy initiative at stake — Mr. Brown has already said he would be the 41st and crucial vote against the health care bill — the president decided to risk embarrassment and hit the stump.

Wow, but I guess Barry was left with no choice but to help this chick out. Martha Coakley's taken this whole race for granted, making a half-hearted effort to campaign for a senator's seat because she's a Democrat. Too bad for her, we're in 2010, not 2009....liberals can't blame George W. Bush for everything anymore, Americans aren't seeing any "change" (much less "hope) and this race has a lot riding on the line, more specifically Barry's legacy. Only problem here is that someone may need to remind Barry that he's nowhere near as popular as he was a year ago. Indeed, the Teleprompter-In-Chief's reassured charm and smugness isn't working on Americans anymore, just ask outgoing governor Jon Corzine, who Barry pushed for heavily to get re-elected in liberal New Jersey last month, and still lost. Now Obama's faced with the risk of totally humiliating himself if somehow Scott Brown beats Coakley next week, his whole presidency goes in the mud, much less no more health care reform. Funny that.

Haitian Earthquake Relief: Obama Taps Bush, Clinton For Help

Newsmax.com:

President Barack Obama has tapped former Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton to lead private sector fundraising efforts for Haiti.

Enlisting ex-presidents' help in responding to a natural disaster is just what Bush did in 2004 after a tsunami ripped across Asia. Back then, it was Clinton and President George H.W. Bush who assisted in relief efforts.

In a joint statement, George W. Bush and Clinton said, "In the days and weeks ahead, we will draw attention to the many ways American citizens and businesses can help meet the urgent needs of the Haitian people."

Obama called his predecessors Wednesday to ask them for their assistance because he thought Bush's decision to mobilize former presidents during the tsunami was a good one, White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said Thursday.

Gibbs said the Obama administration's criticism of Bush's actions during the response to Hurricane Katrina were irrelevant.

"I think if you asked George Bush whether the government acted up to its ability in responding to Katrina, I think the answer to that would be 'no,'" Gibbs said. "The actions that were taken to deal with the humanitarian crisis from the tsunami, on the other hand, I think worked quite well."

Barry once again copying Bush and turning to Bush for help when faced with a crisis. Sigh.

Keith Olbermann Politicizes Haiti Earthquake To Justify ObamaCare

NewsBusters.org:
The devastating earthquake in Haiti, which may have killed tens of thousands or more, “reminded” MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann of why ObamaCare is needed in the United States as he saw “what health care reform really means” in Haiti’s “awful message of nightmarish reality.” Later, he seriously contended the Haiti disaster makes “a good frame of reference in terms of the health care issue,” as he speculated about a quake destroying Los Angeles:
How would survivors of something like this here fare in terms of getting on their own feet economically afterwards, with the health care system we have in place right now?
After smearing Rush Limbaugh as a “deranged racist,” Olbermann teased Wednesday night’s Countdown: “We are reminded of what health care reform really means by an awful message of nightmarish reality from a place, a place this time not so very far away.” MSNBC’s on-screen heading, as he spoke, sealed the link between Haiti and the domestic policy: “REAL REFORM NECESSARY; LATEST FROM HAITI.”
From the same guy who talks endlessly about FOX being an arm of the GOP comes this disingenuous, self-serving rant to promote a leftwing, health care reform package that most Americans do not support. Hypocrite much, Keith?

Pat Robertson Says Haiti Earthquake "May Be A Blessing In Disguise"

Further proof of how bad the Right needs solid leadership to stand together and refute imbeciles like Pat Robertson when they cross the line. For once I'll even agree with Krazy Keith in saying that the man doesn't deserve to be called a "revereand".

Sarah Palin's Debut On FOX News: "Criticism Is A Bunch Of B.S."

John McCain On Allegations Of His Campaign's Lax Vetting Of Sarah Palin

Lauer will scheme for the Left at times, but in light of all that's come out (esp. from Palin herself) about McCain's presidential campaign, I think in this case it's fair to ask about Palin's vetting process. Might be better for McCain to just admit that sure he hardly knew Palin before he picked her for his VP nominee, but knowing full well how much he was struggling with his party's far-Right base, his advisers felt his best shot at defeating The One was to take a shot and gamble on a then-popular (and pretty) Governor from Alaska who'd galvanize the GOP's base and close the gap behind Barry. Picking Palin worked for the former, but not enough for the latter, but hey it was worth a shot.

Michael Eric Dyson: If A White Republican Said What Harry Reid Did It Would Be Huge News

NewsBusters.org:
On Monday, a far-left leaning black college professor stated what few in the liberal media dare: if a white Republican said what Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.) did about presidential candidate Barack Obama in 2008, it would be huge news.

Speaking on MSNBC's "Morning Joe," Georgetown University Professor Michael Eric Dyson elaborated, "They would be making hay out of it, calling for his resignation. I think we're hypocrites and we're morally weak here."

Later on in the morning, Dyson took on Obama's handling of the issue saying, "This president runs from race like a black man runs from a cop"

Sarah Palin Joins FOX News

CNN.com:
One-time Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin may have sent a clear message to the political world, analysts say, by signing a deal to become a TV commentator.

That message: She's unlikely to run in the 2012 presidential race.

"I do think maybe it suggests, sadly for Democrats, that she might not be running," said Democratic strategist and CNN contributor Paul Begala. "Democrats ... are pretty confident they can defeat Sarah Palin. She's not going to beat Barack Obama."

The former Alaska governor has signed a deal with Fox News to appear as a contributor on the network, a source with knowledge of the agreement confirms to CNN.

There are no plans for Palin to anchor her own program, the source said.

"Let's first hope for [Fox News President] Roger Ailes' sake that she doesn't quit that job the way she quit her job as governor of Alaska," Begala joked.

Nancy Pfotenhauer, a former McCain presidential campaign spokesperson, also indicated that Palin's new job is a possible sign of things to come.

"There's a slight indication she may not run," she said. "I assume this is a business decision on the part of both Fox News and on Gov. Palin's part."

Definitely surprised by this and surely she'll get even more grief from the whole lot of Palin-haters on the Left now that she's at FOX. Yet, she certainly has the resume to be a news pundit, the experience to know what she's talking about and the fight to take on Krazy Keith and rest of his minions at MSNBC who'll no doubt fall over themselves miserably in their lame attempts to smear her even more than they do now.

Bill Clinton To Ted Kennedy: "Obama Would've Been Getting Us Coffee A Few Years Ago"

PoliticsDaily.com:
The forceful 2008 endorsement of Barack Obama by Sen. Edward M. Kennedy – and Kennedy's sudden break with the Clintons – was caused in part by a racist comment made by Bill Clinton to Kennedy over the telephone, according to a new campaign book.

The book, Game Change, by Mark Halperin and John Heilemann, asserts on page 218 that after Obama won the Iowa caucuses, Clinton called Kennedy to press for an endorsement from the influential Massachusetts liberal. But the call backfired, according to the authors, and left Kennedy deeply offended.

The day after Iowa, he phoned Kennedy and pressed for an endorsement, making the case for his wife. But Bill then went on, belittling Obama in a manner that deeply offended Kennedy. Recounting the conversation later to a friend, Teddy fumed that Clinton had said, A few years ago, this guy would have been getting us coffee.
No surprise here. Shocking as it might be to a black liberal, history has long shown us that the biggest racists are in the Democrat party. As the self-proclaimed party for the poor and disenfranchised, the Democrat party, despite its century-long trail of racism, has long taken advantage of black folks, owning the black vote while giving back almost nothing in return. So no doubt too that once Slick Willie speaks on this alleged remark (and knowing the Slickster, he certainly will), this too shall pass, liberal blacks will forgive their "1st black President" and white liberals within the Democrat can get back to p-owning blacks for their votes like they have the for the past 40 years. If only Barry and co. were so kind to Trent Lott.
