MSNBC Host Ed Schultz Calls Joe Lieberman's Wife A Whore

NewsBusters.org:

How angry are ultraliberal talk show hosts over Joe Lieberman’s opposition to a government "competitor" in the health insurance system, the so-called "public option"? Ed Schultz was mad enough Wednesday to get very personal with Hadassah Lieberman, the senator’s wife, who has worked for several DC lobbying firms. Schultz suggested she was a "whore." He said:

Now, the pillow talk in the Lieberman household in the sack had to be rather interesting, OK? You have got the wife working on behalf of the industry that's lining the pockets of the senator who has now come out against the public option. OK, look, how dumb are we? Is this a coincidence?

He asked: Does the word 'whore' apply? Are we there yet?

Mrs. Lieberman’s interests in the health debate are nebulous, according to left-wing journalist Joe Conason at Salon.com:

The Lieberman family's financial ties to the health industry are no secret, yet their full extent remains unknown. During her husband's 2006 reelection campaign, Hadassah Lieberman's employment as a "senior counselor" to Hill & Knowlton, one of the world’s biggest lobbying firms, briefly erupted as an issue, especially because the clients she served were in the controversial pharmaceutical and insurance sectors. Exactly what she did for those clients has never been disclosed.

Of course if a host on FOX did this sort of thing the Obama administration wouldn't just be whining about him, every host on MSNBC would go nuclear. Because that's just the kind of hypocrisy that goes on over at MSNBC, any wonder no one watches them.

Despite Lawsuit Being Dismissed, Liberals Still Chasing Dick Cheney For Valerie Plame

CNN.com:
Former vice president Dick Cheney told a special prosecutor in 2004 that he had no idea who leaked the identity of CIA agent Valerie Plame, according to newly released FBI documents.

Cheney was questioned as part of an investigation on how journalists came to know the identity of Plame, the wife of former Ambassador Joseph Wilson, who was a critic of the Iraq war.

In the interview, Cheney responded to many questions with "I do not recall."

However, he took a few stabs at the CIA in its handling of White House allegations that Iraq was attempting to purchase uranium from Niger to manufacture nuclear weapons.

Wilson was dispatched to Niger on a CIA assignment to explore the charges and later said that the Bush administration was twisting facts to support an invasion of Iraq. He implied in a newspaper article that his trip was at the behest of the vice president.

Cheney's reaction to the article was that it was "amateur hour" at the CIA, according to the FBI documents, released after the Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics, a watchdog group in Washington, sued under the Freedom of Information Act. The 28-page summary of the Cheney interview was made public more than five years after it took place.

Cheney, his chief of staff, Scooter Libby, and presidential adviser Karl Rove, were named in a 2006 federal civil lawsuit by Plame and Wilson. Plame contended she was the victim of intentional and malicious exposure and that both she and Wilson suffered a violation of rights. The lawsuit was dismissed in 2007.

Only Libby was tried and convicted of perjury, obstruction and lying to the FBI about the Plame leak. President George W. Bush later commuted his sentence.

Bush Derangement Syndrome once again rears its ugly head. Dick Cheney dares to speak out against The One and his minions on the Left will do anything to shut him up, including trying to get him brought up on charges he released information on a former CIA secretary that no one cares about. Of course, what they never mention is that Richard Armitage was the sole person responsible for "leaking" Plame identity, but why let something like facts get in the way when you're suffering from major BDS.

Liz Cheney Speaks Out On Obama Using Slain Troops For Photo-Op

TPM.com:
Liz Cheney called out President Obama for his early-morning trip to honor fallen soldiers arriving at Dover Air Force Base yesterday, suggesting President Bush honored America's heroes with a bit more class than his successor.

Cheney, on Fox News Radio's John Gibson Show yesterday:

"I think that what President Bush used to do is do it without the cameras. And I don't understand sort of showing up with the White House Press Pool with photographers and asking family members if you can take pictures. That's really hard for me to get my head around...It was a surprising way for the president to choose to do this."

Obama White House Lying About Job Stimulus Numbers

Newsbusters:
When Katie Couric and the folks at CBS start doubting what the Administration says about how effective February's economic stimulus package was, you know President Obama is in trouble.

Consider that on Thursday's CBS "Evening News," Chip Reid began a segment with the following startling statement about a jobs report card to be released by the White House Friday:

Well, Katie, that report is going to claim that the stimulus has already created or saved hundreds of thousands of jobs, but if the administration`s first effort at counting stimulus jobs is any guide, tomorrow`s numbers could be hard to believe.

Sarah Palin "Appalled" By Levi Johnston's Comments, Says He's "Desperate" for Doing Playgirl

SeattlePi.com:
Sarah Palin says she is "appalled" at Levi Johnston's claim that she called her son, Trig, "retarded" and takes the father of her grandson to task for posing for Playgirl.

"We have purposefully ignored the mean spirited, malicious and untrue attacks on our family," Palin says in a statement, according to People. "We, like many, are appalled at the inflammatory statements being made or implied. Trig is our 'blessed little angel' who knows it and is lovingly called that every day of his life." (Trig, 1, has Down's Syndrome.)

Johnston made the remark on Wednesday's The Early Show, on which he also claimed to know secrets about the former Republican vice presidential nominee that "could hurt her." "I'm not going to go that far," Johnston said. "You know, I mean, if I really wanted to hurt her, I could very easily. But there's — I'm not going do it."

Johnston's "lies" are part of his ploy to drum up attention, Palin said, noting the 19-year-old's decision to pose fully nude for Playgirl.

"Consider the source of the most recent attention-getting lies," she said. "Those who would sell their body for money reflect a desperate need for attention and are likely to say and do anything for even more attention."

Bullet Hits Lou Dobbs' NJ Home With Wife Nearby

YahooNews.com:
Police in New Jersey are trying to determine who fired a bullet that struck CNN commentator Lou Dobbs' home as his wife stood nearby. State police Sgt. Stephen Jones says Dobbs' wife and driver were outside the home Oct. 5 when they heard the gunshot. Jones says the bullet didn't penetrate the siding and fell to the ground outside.

Dobbs mentioned the bullet earlier this week on CNN and his radio show.

Dobbs says he had been receiving threatening phone calls for weeks. On his radio show, he connected the gunshot to his advocacy for a crackdown on illegal immigration and to his opponents' rhetoric.

Since Barry became president many on the Left have spoken out on the possibility of conservative rhetoric endangering people's lives. Yet so far this year alone we've seen an abortion protester slain, liberal bloggers advocating violence against Tea Party protesters, a black conservative beaten up by leftwing loons and now shots fired at Lou Dobbs family. Funny that.

Bill Clinton Hindered Hillary's VP Chances?!?

CNN.com:
Some Democrats had dubbed the possibility of a Barack Obama-Hillary Clinton pairing last year as a "dream ticket," though the notion that the two once-bitter primary rivals would team up always seemed far-fetched.

But then-Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama was more seriously considering picking Clinton as his running mate than any of his senior aides realized, according to a forthcoming book by former Obama campaign manager David Plouffe.

Yet in the end, it may have been her husband Bill Clinton - who had made headlines for his outbursts on the campaign trail during the primary season - that ultimately scuttled the possibility.

In the new book, excerpts of which are running in the new issue of Time Magazine, Plouffe said Obama took both him and senior aide David Axelrod by surprise when he insisted on including Clinton on the initial list of potential picks for the No. 2 spot on the ticket.

"Obama was clearly thinking more seriously about picking Hillary Clinton than Axelrod and I had realized," Plouffe writes. "He said if his central criterion measured who could be the best VP, she had to be included in that list."

It's just incredulous that anyone truly believes that Hillary Clinton ever had a chance to be Obama's VP. No way was Barry naive enough to not think about the potential risks involving picking Billary and having them undermine his presidency. Then too, knowing full well how many VIP's either died or "disappeared" during Slick Willie's two terms, I'm sure that Barry would've been pressed to hire even more Secret Service than normal. To me this whole issue of Hillary being VP is a non-starter.

Fewer People Believe In Global Warming

ManBearPig and lies are finally starting to make folks scratch their heads:

A recent Pew Research survey showing a sharp decline in the proportion of the public saying there is solid evidence of global warming has triggered considerable speculation about why these views are changing. The poll was released a day after 18 leading scientific organizations released a letter reaffirming what they see as scientific consensus on climate change.

The survey found 57% saying there is "solid evidence that the average temperature on earth has been getting warmer over the past few decades." In April 2008, 71% said there was solid evidence of global warming, and in 2006 and 2007, 77% expressed this view.

Why do fewer Americans believe the earth is warming? No single factor emerges from Pew Research Center surveys, but rather a range of possible explanations, including a sour economy and, perhaps, a cooler than normal summer in parts of the United States.

First, it is important to note that signs of a change in public opinion -- on the environment generally and global warming more specifically -- were evident long before Pew Research's new survey. In March, Gallup's annual environment survey found an increase in the percentage of Americans who say the seriousness of global warming is "generally exaggerated" -- from 30% in 2006 to 41% this year. Similarly, Fox News found the percentage of registered voters saying they "believe global warming exists" has fallen from 82% in January 2007 to 69% in May of this year.

Pew Research surveys show that as economic concerns have surged, fewer people view the environment as a top policy priority. In our annual survey on the public's policy agenda, just 41% rated protecting the environment as a top priority; just a year earlier, 56% rated it as a top priority. Yet other issues also were overshadowed as more people focused on the economy and jobs. There were sharp declines as well in the proportions rating dealing with illegal immigration (down 10 points), reducing health care costs (10 points) and reducing crime (eight points) as top priorities for the president and Congress. Notably, there has been no change in recent years in the proportion of the public saying that stricter laws and regulations are needed to protect the environment. Fully 83% expressed that view in Pew Research's political values survey, released in May. At the same time, far fewer people viewed protecting the environment as a priority if it meant slower economic growth and job losses, or higher prices.

Comedian Larry David Thinks Pissing On Jesus Is Funny

FOXNews.com:

Comedian Larry David is under attack from critics who say he pushed the mocking of religion and Christian belief in miracles over the edge in the latest episode of his HBO series "Curb Your Enthusiasm," which the cable network defended as "playful."

On the show's most recent installment, which aired Sunday, David urinates on a painting of Jesus Christ, causing a woman to believe the painting depicts Jesus crying.

Deal Hudson, author and publisher of InsideCatholic.com, said he doesn't find any humor in the episode.

"I don't think it's funny," Hudson told Foxnews.com. "Why is it that people are allowed to publicly show that level of disrespect for Christian symbols? If the same thing was done to a symbol of any other religions -- Jewish or Muslim -- there'd be a huge outcry. It's simply not a level playing field."

Hudson said an apology from the show's producers and writing team should be issued.

The irony for me is that I'm a huge "Curb Your Enthusiasm" fan, watch it every week. And despite Rosie O'Donnell being on the show several times (including once this season) as well as some signs from the writing (their trivial treatment of adultery in past shows for example), I never could really tell which way Larry David leaned politically, nor did I care. For me, "Curb" was always about making fun of socially uncomfortable moments and David (who used to co-write "Seinfeld) is the best at that. However, this episode clearly crossed the line, not because of who it attacked as much as the fact it just reeked of the lame, Hollywood-Left hatred for religion that we see all the time.

Joe Lieberman Will Filibuster Public Option

CNN.com:
Independent Sen. Joseph Lieberman said Tuesday he would join a Republican filibuster to block the final vote on any health care bill that has a government-run public health insurance option.

Lieberman's vote is crucial to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's hopes of passing a health care bill that includes the controversial public option. Reid announced Monday he would send to the full Senate a health care bill that has a public option but also allows states to opt out of that provision.

Lieberman said he would support a vote to launch debate on the health care bill but would oppose a motion to end debate if the public option remains in the legislation. Democrats would need 60 votes in the 100-member Senate to close debate on the bill, and the Democratic caucus has 60 members, including Lieberman.

"I can't see a way in which I can vote for cloture on any bill that contained a creation of a government-operated and run insurance company," the Connecticut senator said. "It's just asking for trouble."

Good for Joe Lieberman, who has shown the kind courage necessary to challenge liberal terrorism in the Democratic party that Americans need. Healthcare reform is the most overrated and unnecessary issue to down the pike since...well everything Obama and his Leftwing militants have been attempting to bully on Americans. Now that other moderate Dems will have no choice but to join Lieberman it'll be interesting to see how Harry Reid deals with this latest bit of health reform drama.

Obama Plays Golf More Than Bush Did

NYPost.com:
It may not be the statistic he was looking for, but President Obama has surpassed George W. Bush -- on the number of days spent on the golf course.

On Sunday, a cool, sunny day in DC, Obama played a round of golf for the 24th time in his presidency -- hitting a mark it took his predecessor almost three years to reach.

At a four-hour per game average, that adds up to almost 100 hours on the links for Obama, who has been polishing his chipping and putting even while confronting a financial meltdown, an auto-industry bailout, two wars and health-care reform.

In doing so, he has rejected the stance of his predecessor, who eventually stopped playing during his presidency, concluding, "I think playing golf during a war just sends the wrong signal."

Obama took up the sport in the late '90s while serving in the Illinois state legislature, partly at the urging of wife, Michelle, who was concerned about the toll Obama's basketball regimen was taking on his body.

Of course, conservatives remember how big a deal liberals made about former President Bush playing golf. So needless to say the irony of Barack Obama surpassing his predecessor's amount of golf outings being lost on the liberal press isn't shocking to say the least.

New Liberal Leader Alan Grayson Calls Woman A "Whore"

FOXNews.com:

Florida Rep. Alan Grayson called an aide to Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke a "K Street whore" during a radio interview that aired last month, Roll Call reported.

According to the audio posted on YouTube, Grayson, a Democrat, reportedly said on the Alex Jones radio show, "Here I am, the only member of Congress who actually worked as an economist. And she’s, this lobbyist, this K Street whore, is trying to teach me about economics."

Grayson, a first term congressman, was allegedly referring to Bernanke adviser Linda Robertson, who Grayson said had headed up Enron Corp.'s lobbying shop in Washington, D.C., the newspaper reported.

A Democratic aide of Grayson's later defended his statement, telling the newspaper, "The Congressman’s choice of the words referred to her career as a lobbyist and her history of promoting whomever and whatever pays."

What a prick. Classy is clearly not in this guy's dictionary.

Fall Of The Republic: How Obama Brand Is Destroying America

Fall Of The Republic documents how an offshore corporate cartel is bankrupting the US economy by design. Leaders are now declaring that world government has arrived and that the dollar will be replaced by a new global currency.

President Obama has brazenly violated Article 1 Section 9 of the US Constitution by seating himself at the head of United Nations' Security Council, thus becoming the first US president to chair the world body.

A scientific dictatorship is in its final stages of completion, and laws protecting basic human rights are being abolished worldwide; an iron curtain of high-tech tyranny is now descending over the planet.

A worldwide regime controlled by an unelected corporate elite is implementing a planetary carbon tax system that will dominate all human activity and establish a system of neo-feudal slavery.

The image makers have carefully packaged Obama as the world's savior; he is the Trojan Horse manufactured to pacify the people just long enough for the globalists to complete their master plan.

This film reveals the architecture of the New World Order and what the power elite have in store for humanity. More importantly it communicates how We The People can retake control of our government, turn the criminal tide and bring the tyrants to justice.

Michelle Obama Lies, Says Non-Passage Of Healthcare Reform Threatens Women

Gateway Pundit:

The fearmongering First Lady pulled out all the stops to push for the dem’s government controlled health care legislation:

In some states, maternity care is not covered because pregnancy can be seen as a pre-existing condition. Its even legal in some states to deny a woman coverage because shes been a victim of domestic violence. First Lady Michelle Obama looks at where health care policy and people’s lives intersect. Two-time cancer survivor Roxi Griffin and HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius join her to discuss how the current system doesn’t work for women and their families and why health insurance reform is so needed.

What First Lady Michelle forgot to mention was that women with breast cancer have a 14 percent higher survival rate in the United States than in Europe. Breast cancer mortality is 52 percent higher in Germany than in the United States, and 88 percent higher in the United Kingdom. Breast cancer mortality is also 9 percent higher in Canada than in the US. Less than 25 percent of U.S. women die from breast cancer. In Britain, it’s 46 percent; France, 35 percent; Germany, 31 percent; Canada, 28 percent; Australia, 28 percent, and New Zealand, 46 percent. For some reason she forgot to mention these facts in her video.

Michelle Obama is a joke. The Liar-in-Chief's legacy relies on health care reform and his babymama is so desperate to get it for him that she's willing to look American women straight in the face and lie to them. Pathetic.

Jon Corzine Uses Offensive Ad To Diss Chris Christie's Weight

NBCNewYork.com:

If there was ever any question whether New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine thinks his Republican opponent was overweight, there isn't anymore.

A reporter from Press of Atlantic City asked Corzine if he considered Chris Christie to be fat, during an editorial board meeting captured on video.

"Excuse me?" Corzine asked, snapping his head towards the brazen questioner.

"Do you think Chris Christie is fat?" the reporter repeated, point blank.

The governor patted his pate and asked, "Am I bald?" without missing a beat -- eliciting lots of laughs from other reporters.

Jon Corzine is a rich, liberal elitist whose done nothing for the state of New Jersey but make broken promises while enriching his friends and exempting them from scrutiny and accountability. In other words, the very same Chicago-style politics that our Liar-In-Chief is noted for. Speaking of Barry, he'll be in New Jersey two days before the election to stump for Corzine. Of course, Barry's paying close attention to how this election plays out because a loss for Corzine in liberal New Jersey (the fact that Christie and Corzine are even tied in the polls says a lot about the current state of NJ politics) would be a huge blow to the Democrat party. That said, the people of New Jersey need to wake up to the consequences of electing self-serving liberal pols and give Jon Corzine the pink slip come November.
