Sex Offender To Be Ordained As Minister
Forgiveness is one thing, but letting a convicted sex offender become a priest is just crossing the line. There's just certain heinous acts that warrant lifetime restrictions no matter how much professional help you've gotten and/or how much remorse you've shown.
Liberals Want Obama To Chase After Olympia Snowe

Can you blame them? They know that they don't have the votes, so why not go after a RINO whose turned her back on the GOP time and time again:
Given Mike Enzi's departure from the bipartisan talks and the imminent collapse of the Gang of Six, it looks like there's just one Republican Senator still willing to negotiate seriously with the Democrats-Olympia Snowe. Even if the leadership decides to take a more partisan route for the bill, Snowe is sometimes more liberal than the right flank of the Democratic Party, and her vote could still be critical to reform's survival. But what does she really want out of the current bill? And is she in a place where she can still see eye-to-eye with the Democratic leadership? Over the past few days, I've spoken with close observers of the debate, both on and off the Hill, to get a better sense of Snowe's positions on the key issues that will shape the final Finance Committee bill. Here's the quick rundown on where Snowe appears to stand, based on my reporting so far:
-Supports the public plan-but only as a fall-back option. Snowe has essentially maintained the same position that she came to months ago: a government-run insurance plan that would be a fall-back option, only if the reforms to the private insurance industry did not provide adequate savings. This is the "trigger" option has largely fallen to the wayside in the midst of the hysteria over the public plan and the popularity of Kent Conrad's co-op plan. Snowe is continuing to lobby her colleagues to support what she calls a "safety net plan" to avoid the politically combustible association with the liberals' "public plan."
-May agree to scale back insurance subsidies, but allows room for negotiation. The Finance Committee has already indicated that they plan to scale back the subsidies to help low-income individuals to buy insurance, providing help to those earning up to 300% above the poverty line, as opposed to the 400% that's in the HELP/House bills. Snowe argues that most of the uninsured fall below the 300% mark, though-according to multiple sources-she believes there are some "unique problems" that those in the 300-400% range face. She is going to continue deliberating ways to help these individuals in negotiations. But it's not clear what those mechanisms might be if Finance isn't willing to budge from the lower figure--and if Snowe's not willing to fight to push it higher:
-Wants financing for the bill to come from within the health care system. Snowe apparently wants to finance the bill from "within the health care system," according to one source, and expects much of the savings to come from industry groups and cost-savings measures within the system. But for meaningful reform to happen, more money will probably have to be put on the table--and the means for doing so might not be to Snowe's liking. Back in May, she spoke out against putting a cap on the tax exclusion of employer-sponsored benefits, opposing a significant potential revenue stream for the bill. Altogether, it's still unclear whether she will support taxing individuals-either within or outside the system-to pay for the bill.
-Supports a reduction of the minimum benefits that all insurance policies would have to provide. The "actuarial standard" basically means the percentage of medical bills that insurance would have to cover. The HELP bill set this at 75%, while Snowe seems inclined to support something closer to 65%. According to my sources, it's partly because Snowe thinks this is less of a priority for the public-they don't understand this provision very well and are more concerned about, say, the high cost of insurance premiums. And plans that provide fewer benefits are bound to cost less.

Radical Liberal Leader Keith Olbermann Declares War On Glenn Beck
Visit msnbc.com for Breaking News, World News, and News about the Economy
Krazy Keith is literally pleading with the loons on the Left to send him every "rumor or slander" they can find on Glenn Beck. All because Beck and other conservatives did the job that Obama minions in the press failed to do: tell the truth about a 9/11 Truther and communist working for the Obama administration.
I don't even like Glenn Beck and I'm still waiting for him to apologize for pulling a Kanye West and calling Obama a "racist" a few weeks back. But Keith Olbermann, desperate for ratings and too stupid to acknowledge the truth, now goes after the controversial, but popular (the man who pulls in thrice the ratings "Countdown" does) Beck, hoping against hope that any brouhaha he can create from an Olbermann vs. Beck "feud" will get him more viewers.
Now how sad is that?
(Note: The above clip is from Olbermann's show on Friday, before Van Jones resignation).

Howard Dean Defends 9/11 Truther Van Jones

FAILED former DNC chairman and FAILED Democrat candidate for President Howard Dean weighs in on far-Left communist and 9/11 Truther Van Jones:
Van Jones, U.S. President Barack Obama's former "green jobs czar," was "brought down," former Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean said Sunday.Jones resigned over the weekend after being criticized for past associations with conspiracy theorists who claim the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks were orchestrated by the Bush administration. Dean, appearing on "Fox News Sunday," defended Jones, saying his resignation was the result of a Republican Party campaign against him.
"This guy's a Yale-educated lawyer," Dean said. "He's a best-selling author about his specialty. I think he was brought down, and I think it's too bad. Washington's a tough place that way, and I think it's a loss for the country."
Jones had been criticized for signing a 2004 petition alleging some connection between Sept. 11 and the U.S. government. But Dean said he talked to Jones recently and that he indicated he was misled about what he was signing.
A Victory For Conservatives: Obama Czar & Communist Van Jones Resigns

A victory for conservatives:
President Barack Obama's adviser Van Jones has resigned amid controversy over past inflammatory statements, the White House said early Sunday.Van Jones, an administration official specializing in environmentally friendly "green jobs" with the White House Council on Environmental Quality was linked to efforts suggesting a government role in the 2001 terror attacks and to derogatory comments about Republicans.
The resignation comes as Obama is working to regain his footing in the contentious health care debate.
Jones issued an apology on Thursday for his past statements. When asked the next day whether Obama still had confidence in him, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said only that Jones "continues to work in the administration."
The matter surfaced after news reports of a derogatory comment Jones made in the past about Republicans, and separately, of Jones' name appearing on a petition connected to the events surrounding the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks. That 2004 petition had asked for congressional hearings and other investigations into whether high-level government officers had allowed the attacks to occur.
"On the eve of historic fights for health care and clean energy, opponents of reform have mounted a vicious smear campaign against me," Jones said in his resignation statement. "They are using lies and distortions to distract and divide."
No, it wasn't a 'smear campaign', it was something we conservatives like to refer to as facts. Van Jones is a communist, 9/11 Truther, radical left-wing crackpot and certified Bush-hater. Jones resigned because the truth caught up to him and Barack Obama embarrassed himself and this country by giving this far-Left loon a cabinet post within his administration. And what with all the other corrupt figures in the Obama administration, a health care reform package that sees no signs of passing and approval ratings now dipping into the 40's, hopefully this is the beginning of the end for Barack Obama.

Ed Schultz: "Jesus Would Want A Public Option"
Nothing like a crazy, holier-than-thou liberal using religion when it suits their own personal agenda:
What would Jesus do? Well, Ed Schultz thinks he knows - that is on health care reform at least.
Schultz, on his Sept. 2 MSNBC program, "The ED Show" told viewers he believed Jesus would vote for a government public option. That, he said, was to the dismay of some on religious right, or what he used the pejorative "Bible thumpers" to describe.
"Now, I have been referring to the health care reform deal as the real moral issue of our time," Schultz said. "I believe Jesus would vote yes for a public option, but some Bible thumpers don't see me eye to eye on this one."
Schultz later elaborated on his statement, likening "fixing health care" to a moral obligation.
"Fixing health care in this country is a moral obligation," Schultz said. "There isn't any way around it, at least that's how I see it and I think the public option to make health care affordable and accessible is a key, fulfilling moral obligation in this country. But some religious leaders don't agree with me on that."

Obama Lied To Families Of Dead Troops

Back in February, a mere month into his presidency, Barack Obama decided to reverse a long-standing policy, that prohibited the liberal media from photographing the coffins of dead soldiers as they returned to the U.S. Catering to the wishes of his minions on the far-Left, who sought a reverse of the policy so they could exploit and politicize the photos of dead soldiers for their own malicious gain, Obama went ahead with the reversal, but with one catch--the troops' families would have to give their consent. Well, judging from what the AP just did, Obama lied:
Defense Secretary Robert Gates expressed disappointment Friday at news outlets that used a picture taken and distributed by The Associated Press depicting a U.S. Marine mortally wounded in combat in Afghanistan.Arianna Huffington's left-wing vitriol The Huffington Post, went ahead and put the picture on its front page today, so did at least 20 newspapers. This highly offensive move shows us once again how little the Left cares about our troops as well as the depth they will go to push their socialist, anti-Bush, vengeance-seeking agenda. If I were the Bernard family, I'd hire an attorney and sue the ass off of the AP, every liberal outlet that published Joshua Bernard's dead photo and the Obama administration. The AP distributed the picture despite personal pleas from Gates and the dead Marine's family in a case that illustrated the difficult decisions in reporting on a conflict where Americans have seen relatively few images of fallen U.S. troops over eight years.
The picture, by AP photographer Julie Jacobson, showed Lance Cpl. Joshua "Bernie" Bernard, 21, lying on the ground with severe leg injuries after being struck by a grenade in an ambush on Aug. 14, his fellow Marines tending to him. Bernard later died of his wounds.
Gates wrote a strongly worded letter to AP President and CEO Tom Curley on Thursday, saying it was a matter of "judgment and common decency" not to use the photo. A Pentagon spokesman said Gates followed up with a phone call "begging" Curley not to use it.
After the photo was published Friday, the Pentagon released its communications with the AP.
Low-rated MSNBC Continues To Push Idea That GOP Out To Get Obama Killed
Newsbusters.org:
He has been a voice in the wilderness for global warming realists, but now that he's taking on other issues put forth by President Barack Obama, some on the left's network, MSNBC, are suggesting Sen. James Inhofe, R-Okla., is putting the president's life at risk.
Throughout the day of Sept. 3 on MSNBC, the place for liberal politics, a report from the Sept. 2 Tulsa World by Randy Krehbiel was cited and it was suggested Inhofe had gone too far with his criticism of Obama. Both MSNBC hosts David Shuster and Ed Schultz condemned Inhofe's comments that were very unfavorable toward the president's policies.
"I have never seen so many things happening at one time so disheartening to America." Inhofe said, according to the World.
That remark and others including his thoughts on global warming and his disappointment in that he thinks Obama "is obsessed with turning terrorists loose in America" inspired an angry Schultz to dedicate the opening segment of his Sept. 3 MSNBC show to attacking Inhofe.
"You know, I don't have to tell fair-minded, thinking Americans that this truly is psycho talk, but it's really more than that folks - it's really irresponsible," Schultz said. "When an elected lawmaker, a senator who has served this country for many years, says things like this to his constituents, you know that it does? It opens up the floodgates to these crazies that show up at town hall meetings. This is doomsday talk. How constructive is this? It's not - an elected senator is talking about survival, and people are bringing guns to town hall meetings to see the president. These things, in my opinion, they are very connected. The sound culture of America plays and it plays hard. The repetitive messaging is working on some, let's say, lesser challenged news consumers."
Shuster took a similar tact earlier in the day. In an interview with Krehbiel on Sept. 3, Shuster asked the World reporter if Inhofe had increased the risk of Obama being killed.
"Well, I guess here's the bigger picture - does Sen. Inhofe have the kind of dedicated followers that might include somebody who is crazy, who is something of a lunatic, who hears the esteemed senator saying, ‘President Obama is turning loose terrorists in America,' and therefore that crazy person thinks that it is my responsibility to take out the president?" Shuster asked Krehbiel.
Liberals oppose dissent and no one has made that more clear than the Obama stans at MSNBC. Whether it's Krazy Keith O., Olbermann-wannabee David Schuster or the even crazier Ed Schultz, MSNBC's hatred for the Right, much less any talk of opposition to Obama's policies, has taken on epic proportions. The criticism of Barry's administration has been just that, criticism. There's no comparison to the stuff the Left peddled at President Bush during his 8 years in office--and that includes over-the-top, inflammatory rhetoric day-in and day-out from Olbermann. The hosts at MSNBC are hypocrites of the highest order, it's any wonder that only those on the far-Left take anything they seriously. It's any wonder why their news shows consistently finish in last place.
Under Barack Obama Unemployment Hits 9.7%

FOXNews.com:
Good thing we got stimulus recovery package. It's working so well. Yunno, change we can believe in and all that other nonsense. The unemployment rate jumped almost half a point to 9.7 percent in August, the highest since 1983, reflecting a poor job market that will make it hard for the economy to begin a sustained recovery.
While the jobless rate rose more than expected, the economy shed a net total of 216,000 jobs, less than July's revised 276,000 and the fewest monthly losses in a year, according to Labor Department data released Friday. Economists expected the unemployment rate to rise to 9.5 percent from July's 9.4 percent and job reductions to total 225,000.
By contrast, in a healthy economy, employers need to add a net total of around 125,000 jobs a month just to keep the unemployment rate stable.
Curt Schilling For Ted Kennedy's Seat?

AP:
Former Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling said Thursday the chances of him running to replace Democrat Edward M. Kennedy in the U.S. Senate are "slim to none" but he will not rule it out.The three-time World Series champion said he retired from baseball in March to spare his family the downside of the public spotlight. He has also invested millions in his fledgling video-gaming business, 38 Studios.
Yet the 42-year-old told a Boston radio station that Massachusetts is in "desperate" need of fresh political blood.
"This state, next to Illinois, is probably looked on as one of the most corrupt, laughable political scenes in the nation, and it should be just the opposite," he said during one of his regular appearances on WEEI-AM, a sports radio station. "I think there's so much broke here, that the fixing piece, I don't think you'd have to look very hard to pick up the pieces of debris and start to reform and fix it."
While Schilling has never run for or held political office, he said it's an asset because he's unencumbered by special interest connections.
"My credentials are that I have no baggage," he said.
During his baseball career Curt Schilling was well-known for being a big game pitcher who often spoke out of both sides of his mouth. So who knows how serious he is about going after Kennedy's chair. But one thing's certain: Curt Schilling is hella popular in Massachusetts and he or just about anybody would be a better replacement for Ted Kennedy than any choice made by woefully incompetent Kennedy groupie and radically-Left Gov. Deval Patrick.
Disgraced Ex-Governor Eliot Spitzer Lands Teaching Job At College
FOXNews.com:
Disgraced politician Eliot Spitzer has started teaching as an adjunct professor at The City College of New York, at a time when the Democrat reportedly is considering mounting a comeback run for office.
Spitzer, who resigned as New York's governor in a prostitution scandal in March 2008, is an adjunct professor in CCNY's political science department.
It is the same department where his father, Bernard Spitzer, established an endowment for the Anne and Bernard Spitzer Chair in Political Science. The college is not the only office connected to his father that has helped him regain his professional footing -- since leaving public office, the Democrat has also worked in his father's real estate firm.
Ellis Simon, a spokesman for the Manhattan college, said Spitzer's three-hour class is called "Law and Public Policy." The undergraduate course began meeting on Tuesday and will meet once a week for 15 weeks.
Simon said Spitzer will earn around $4,500 for the fall term.
Word has it that 72% of college professors are liberal. In other words, campuses around the country are a breeding ground for liberal propaganda, so an idiot like Spitzer should fit right in, that is, as long as he stays away from teaching anything about ethics, morals, principles, etc.

Unlike Liberal Media, Ted Kennedy Thought Mary Jo Kopechne's Death Was "Inexcuseable"

So he claimed in his memoirs:
Sen. Edward M. Kennedy wrote in a memoir being published this month that he made terrible decisions after the 1969 car crash that killed Mary Jo Kopechne, but said he was never romantically involved with her and was haunted by that night for his entire life.He also wrote in "True Compass" that he accepted the conclusion that a lone gunman assassinated his brother President John F. Kennedy.
The memoir is to be published Sept. 14 by Twelve, a division of the Hachette book group. The 532-page book was obtained early by The New York Times and the New York Daily News.
In it, Kennedy said his actions on Chappaquiddick Island on July 18, 1969, were "inexcusable." He said he was afraid and "made terrible decisions" and had to live with the guilt for more than four decades.
Kennedy drove off a bridge into a pond. He swam to safety, leaving Kopechne in the car.
Kopechne, a worker with slain Sen. Robert F. Kennedy's campaign, was found dead in the submerged car's back seat 10 hours later. Kennedy, then 37, pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of an accident and got a suspended sentence and probation.
After Ted Kennedy's passing the liberal media tried to paint him as a saint, whitewashing his legacy while treating Mary Jo Kopechne's death as nothing more than a blip on the screen that got in the way of Kennedy possibly becoming President. Indeed, the leftist Huffington Post writer Melissa Lafsky even went so far as to callously suggest that Kopechne may've thought her being left to die was "worth" Kennedy's future work. But if his memoirs are to be taken factually, funny that Ted kennedy turns out to be a much more honest person than the people who worshipped him.
Conservatives Fight Back Against Leftwing Boycott of Whole Foods
Barack Obama and minions on the Left have made it clear that they don't appreciate dissent in this country. So much so, radical, leftwing idiots on the Left recently started a boycott against Whole Foods all because the CEO, John Mackey, dared to express his opinion in the Wall Street Journal expressing his views opposing ObamaCare. Well, guess what? It's not working:
Do only Prius-driving, gay-marriage-supporting, organic-crazed liberals shop at Whole Foods? Not anymore. Since Aug. 11, when Whole Foods CEO John Mackey published an Op-Ed article in the Wall Street Journal opposing President Obama's healthcare reform ideas, customers who disagree have boycotted -- or at least have claimed to be boycotting -- the high-end supermarket chain. In response, a lot of other people, who oppose the proposed reforms, have apparently developed a sudden taste for organic kumquats.
The Nationwide Tea Party Coalition kicked off a series of "buycotts" in Dallas and St. Louis on Tuesday, asking consumers to support Mackey by doing their entire week's grocery shopping at Whole Foods that evening. Meanwhile, conservatives and libertarians of various stripes are blogospherically smacking their lips so loudly you'd think they just had a helping of Chilean sea bass en papillote from the Whole Foods deli counter. "If the brainwashed, hemp-smoking zombies of the left stop shopping there, we conservatives can fill that market hole," wrote an anonymous poster on the blog Conservatives for Change.
Convicted Murderer Susan Atkins Denied Parole
This is good news:
Susan Atkins, the terminally ill Charles Manson follower who admitted stabbing actress Sharon Tate 40 years ago, lost what was likely to be her last bid for freedom Wednesday.Susan Atkins didn't show any mercy when she killed Sharon Tate and her unborn baby, thus none should ever be given to her. She can die with dignity in prison.Atkins, who suffers from brain cancer, slept through most of the four-hour hearing during which her husband-lawyer pleaded for her release and families of victims of the Sharon Tate-Labianca killings urged that she be kept behind bars until she dies.
In a dramatic moment — one of the few in which Atkins opened her eyes — Atkins' husband, James Whitehouse, led her through a recitation of the 23rd Psalm, with Atkins concluding in a strong voice, "My God is an amazing God."
Debra Tate, sister of the actress who was 8 1/2 months pregnant when she was killed, told the parole commissioners that she would have a 40-year-old nephew if her sister had lived. She said of Atkins, "I will pray for her soul when she draws her last breath, but until then I think she should remain in this controlled situation."
Parole commissioner Tim O'Hare said that he and the other commissioner who presided over the hearing, Jan Enloe, based their decision heavily on the "atrocious nature" of the 1969 killings and said that Atkins never fully understood the magnitude of her crimes.

Levi Johnston Continues The Bitterness For Sarah Palin

As if he hasn't done enough talking about the personal life of Todd and Sarah Palin, now Levi Johnston writes an article for the leftwing Vanity Fair basically ripping the Palin family to shreds:
For “Me and Mrs. Palin,” Johnston tells Vanity Fair his story about life with the Palin family—with whom he lived for two months after the election—over the course of his two-and-a-half-year relationship with Bristol. He turns a number of commonly held beliefs about the former governor—the purportedly loving mother, devoted wife, and prolific hunter—upside down. And it gets worse, on her post-election conduct:
Sarah was sad for a while. She walked around the house pouting. I had assumed she was going to go back to her job as governor, but a week or two after she got back she started talking about how nice it would be to quit and write a book or do a show and make “triple the money.” It was, to her, “not as hard.” She would blatantly say, “I want to just take this money and quit being governor.” She started to say it frequently, but she didn’t know how to do it. When she came home from work, it seemed like she was more and more stressed out.Now Levi Johnston becomes another tool for the Left to use, exploit and spit out when they're done with him. In other words he's another Meghan McCain. Idiot.
High School Football Player Grabs Gun, Saves 22 Lives

USAToday.com:
Kaleb Eulls: Great American Hero.Yazoo County Sheriff Tommy Vaughan knew how it ended, but he said there still was plenty of drama in watching the Mississippi school bus security tape.At 6:53 a.m. Tuesday, a 14-year-old girl boarded the bus and walked better than halfway toward the back. She reached into a flower-print bag and pulled out a chrome-plated .380-caliber semi-automatic handgun and began shouting and threatening the other students.
"She was using some hard words," Vaughan said. "She was saying somebody on the bus was either messing with her or picking on her."
Then, Yazoo County High School football player Kaleb Eulls approached the girl, Vaughan said.
"He kept telling her, 'Put the gun down; put the gun down.' "
Then Eulls, 18, did what made him highly recruited as a defensive end — he tackled her. Vaughan said the students both went down, and a second later, Eulls' right hand shot back into view holding the weapon.
"If it hadn't been for this star football player, things could have been different," Vaughan said. "He didn't go overboard, but he did exactly what it took to get her on the ground."
Eulls, a 6-foot 4-inch, 255-pound senior, has committed to Mississippi State University.
Gay Liberal Dan Savage: "Religious Right Trying To Get Obama Killed"
Gay liberal Dan Savage went on Keith Olbermann's "Countdown" yesterday and accused the "religious Right" of trying to get Barack Obama killed:
Dan Savage, author of the well-read "Savage Love" column, appeared on MSNBC's Keith Olbermann last night and spoke about the crazies of the religious right, including our very own Rep. Michele Bachmann. But his own extreme comments could bring him under some serious fire too.Fearmonging becomes the tone of liberals when they see that Americans just aren't buying their ideas. Whether it's smearing anyone who dares to oppose Obama's policies as being "RACIST!!!" or accusing Christians of a deep-rooted desire to see Barry killed, when it comes to dissent liberals just can't help themselves to come out and reveal themselves for the whackjobs they truly are. Then too, the fact that Keith Olbermann would allow this kind of rhetoric on his show tells us once again why hardly anyone watches him in the first place.
When talking about the rhetoric used by Bachmann and people like her, particularly during the health care reform debate, Savage said "the Michele Bachmanns of the world and the Glenn Becks of the world are actively and consciously, or subconsciously, trying to get - I'm just going to say it, trying to get the president killed."
He went on to explain his argument, however extreme it might sound. And Olbermann didn't exactly make him step back from his larger argument.
Former AG & Coward Alberto Gonzales Supports CIA Interrogation Probe

Reuters.com:
U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder has been under fire in some circles for naming a special prosecutor to investigate alleged abuses of prisoners by CIA interrogators or contractors, but on Tuesday he got some unexpected support from a former Bush administration official. After the way the Left smeared Alberto Gonzales into quitting as AG, you'd think he could recognize partisan BS when he sees it. But then Gonzales has never been known for his smarts. Consider too all that President Bush did for this man and this is how he pays him back? What a loser.
Former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales who oversaw the Justice Department or was White House counsel during the period when some of the controversial interrogation techniques were authorized — such as lengthy sleep deprivation and repeated waterboarding – in a radio interview backed Holder’s decision to review the cases that went outside the limits set.“We worked very hard to establish ground rules and parameters about how to deal with terrorists,” Gonzales said in an interview with The Washington Times’ “America’s Morning News” radio show.
“And if people go beyond that, I think it is legitimate to question and examine that conduct to ensure people are held accountable for their actions, even if it’s action in prosecuting the war on terror.”

On Katrina Anniversary, Barack Obama Still Has Yet To Visit New Orleans

WSJ.com:
On the anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, President Barack Obama used his weekly radio address to call attention to the human and political tragedies brought on by the 2005 storm, which killed more than 1,800 people and displaced about 1 million more. For all the hoopla that surrounded Barack Obama becoming the "1st Black President" last November, isn't it ironic, on the 4th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, that Barry has yet to visit Louisiana? Consider the amount of abuse liberals hurled at Barry's predecessor, George W. Bush, for supposedly failing to do enough in the wake of Katrina, much less taking "too long" to visit. Consider the pass the liberal media gave to Democrats such as former Louisiana governor Kathleen Blanco (who decided to not run again for gov after LA voters condemned her for the many mistakes she made before and after Katrina) and the inept mayor Ray Nagin (who somehow was rewarded with re-elected despite his many fails). Consider the amount of attention given to egotistical, lightweight, political "pundit" Kanye West's "George Bush doesn't care about Black people" comment after Katrina. He’s also pledging to visit New Orleans before the end of this year, as concerns continue to mount in the Gulf Coast about the halting progress of recovery efforts from the 2005 storm.
Obama’s administration has heaped attention on the storm-ravaged coast since he took office, following campaign promises to “commit myself every day to keeping up Washington’s end of the bargain.” Eleven cabinet members visited the Gulf thus far, including Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and Housing Secretary Shaun Donovan.
But in a front-page editorial Friday, the Times-Picayune of New Orleans reminded Obama of his promises, urging the president himself to return to the city he visited repeatedly as a senator, but not once since moving into the White House.
There’s no substitute, the newspaper said, “for the focus, the energy, the commitment that a president alone can bestow. There’s no substitute for you, as president, seeing our recovery and its halting progress with your own eyes, for taking time to walk in our shoes. So we ask you to bring your considerable intellect, your problem-solving ability, your influence to bear. When a president pays attention, so does the nation.”
Well, if Barack Obama cares about Black people, he sure hasn't shown it much, has he? Well, except when his personal friend and Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. gets railroaded by an idiot cop. Yet, half-white, liberal elitist Obama, who just returned from a week-long vacation with his family in the predominantly white (and lavish) Martha's Vineyard, can't even make it his business to stop by an area still in ruins, where many of his Black electorate united and rallied around, now some 7 months into his presidency? Once again the silence by Obama stans and Black liberals in general, on Barack Obama's failure to take on issues affecting the Black community, is deafening.

Sam Donaldson Shouts Down Liz Cheney
Despicable. It isn't enough for the Obama minions in the press to bully conservative guests, they have to be rude and talk down to them as well. To think, Liz Cheney's on there facing off against 4 Obama stans (including former Clinton aide George Stephanopoulos and notorious Obama groupie Gwen Ifill) and she's barely allowed to get her points across. Sam Donaldson is a jerk.
Carrie Prejean Sues Miss California USA Officials

CNN.com:
Carrie Prejean has filed a lawsuit against Miss California USA officials who stripped her of her title, accusing them of libel and religious discrimination for her views on same-sex marriage."We will make the case that her title was taken from her solely because of her support of traditional marriage," her attorney, Charles LiMandri, said in a news release.
Prejean stepped into controversy at the Miss USA pageant in April when, in response to a question from a judge, she declared her opposition to same-sex marriage. Prejean finished as first runner-up.
The complaint was filed in Superior Court of California against Miss California USA officials Keith Lewis and Shanna Moakler, as well as publicist Roger Neal.
It alleges that Prejean suffered because of "libel, public disclosure of private facts, religious discrimination, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and negligent infliction of emotional distress."
Good for Carrie. But I'm really glad that they're naming Moakler in the suit. Moakler is the lightweight, D-list, liberal actress who repeatedly slammed Carrie's good name in print and on TV sometime back, all because she dared to honestly answer a question that was posed to her about gay "marriage". That's what the Left conveniently forgets about this mess: it was gossip blogger Perez Hilton who created this whole brouhaha, not Carrie Prejean.
