Non-Church Going Obama Uses Religion To Promote ObamaCare

CNN.com:
President Obama appealed Wednesday to faith-based groups to help garner support for his plan to overhaul the nation's health care system.

"I need you to knock on doors, talk to neighbors, spread the facts and speak the truth," he told religious leaders and reporters on a conference call that was streamed over the Web at faithforhealth.org.

"This debate over health care goes to the heart of who we are as a people," he said. "I believe that nobody in America should be denied basic health care because he or she lacks health insurance."

Some 140,000 people participated in the call, the coalition of more than 30 faith-based groups that organized the event said in a written statement.

Obama urged the listeners to reject misinformation about his plans, noting, "There are some folks out there who are, frankly, bearing false witness."

He referred to some assertions as "ludicrous," and cited as an example rumors that the government is planning to set up "death panels" to determine the fate of the nation's elderly.

"Bearing false witness"?!? Barry really has no shame, does he. But then it's no secret that the abortion and gay "rights" supporting President has no problem using religion when it suits his own personal interests, that's the true coward that he is. To think this heathen has hardly even been to church since he was elected, yet he has the guts to face religious leaders and challenge then to approve his socialist healthcare package. What a con artist.

White Liberals Boycott Whole Foods All Because CEO Dared To Speak Against ObamaCare

White liberals, many of whom buy their yogurt, raisin toast, skim milk and other assorted "healthy" stuff that most Americans can't afford at the popular Whole Foods chain of grocery stores, are angry with Whole Foods CEO John Mackey for daring to express his opinion in an op-ed and oppose ObamaCare. White elitists are so upset at Mackey they've started a boycott at their favorite grocery store:

A Facebook group formed to boycott Whole Foods grocery stores has drawn 16,000 members and is growing rapidly, the Chicago Tribune reports.

USA TODAY intern Lara Seligman did some checking and learned that on Aug. 12, John Mackey, CEO and co-founder of Whole Foods, wrote an op-ed in The Wall Street Journal comparing President Obama’s plans to overhaul the nation’s health care program to socialism.

“We are all responsible for our own lives and our own health,” Mackey wrote. “We should take that responsibility very seriously and use our freedom to make wise lifestyle choices that will protect our health.”

The Facebook group is urging a boycott of Whole Foods stores until Mackey issues a full apology. The group says Mackey’s op-ed is “suggesting that health care is a commodity that only the rich, like him, deserve.”

The group says its mission is to let Whole Foods know that customers’ money will “no longer go to support Whole Foods’ anti-union, anti-health insurance reform, right-wing activities."

Once again liberals reveal themselves for the bullies they truly are--any wonder more and more people around the country are opposing ObamaCare? First of all, who cares what the CEO of grocery store chain thinks about healthcare? And even if you disagree with him, he has a right to his opinion. Secondly, living here in NYC, I can say that I've visited Whole Foods in the past and let me say that each spot is like a mega-store now, what with aisles and aisles of food, thousands of people coming in and out and a shitload of employees working hard, all ready to meet your needs--employees who happen to mostly be young minorities. Minorities who not only have jobs, but quality healthcare, which Whole Foods has long been noted for providing its employees.

John Mackey opposes ObamaCare and good for him. But nowhere is it written that he wants to implement any changes in the coverage to his employees at Whole Foods. And shouldn't that be most important to the loons on the Left? After all, boycotting Whole Fooods could lead to less profits, which in turn could cost people their jobs. Too bad the Obama stans are too caught up in their hate for opposition to see the big picture.

Barney Frank Pwnes Obama Is Hitler Protester

When the Right stays silent on folks who compare Obama to Hitler, they warrant criticism from the Left in the same vein liberals deserved the heap of anger they got from conservatives when lefties did the same thing to former President Bush. It's another example of why extremists on both ends of the ideological rope just can't be taken seriously most of the time.

Black Columnist Says Michael Vick Shouldn't Be Allowed Back In NFL Due To Sociopathic Behavior

To all the self-righteous jerks mad at the Eagles for signing Michael Vick: what is he not entitled to ever work again? Michael Vick paid his debt to society and he seems genuinely contrite about his dog-fighting days. People need to let that man be.

Obama "Joker Poster" Creater Is Just A 20yo Guy From Chicago Who Doesn't Like Barack

Liberals love to claim that any criticism of Barack Obama must be from the mouths of FOX News, "RACISTS!!!" and/or the white supremacists in the Far Right. Well tell that BS to Firas Alkhateeb:

When cryptic posters portraying President Obama as the Joker from "Batman" began popping up around Los Angeles and other cities, the question many asked was, Who is behind the image?

Was it an ultra-conservative grassroots group or a disgruntled street artist going against the grain?

Nope, it turns out, just a 20-year-old college student from Chicago.

Bored during his winter school break, Firas Alkhateeb, a senior history major at the University of Illinois, crafted the picture of Obama with the recognizable clown makeup using Adobe's Photoshop software.

Alkhateeb had been tinkering with the program to improve the looks of photos he had taken on his clunky Kodak camera. The Joker project was his grandest undertaking yet. Using a tutorial he'd found online about how to "Jokerize" portraits, he downloaded the October 23 Time Magazine cover of Obama and began digitally painting over it.

Four or five hours later, he happily had his product.

---------------------------------

Alkhateeb says he wasn't actively trying to cover his tracks, but he did want to lay low. He initially had concerns about ...

... connecting his name with anything critical of the president -- especially living in Chicago, where people are "very, very liberal," he said.

"After Obama was elected, you had all of these people who basically saw him as the second coming of Christ," Alkhateeb said. "From my perspective, there wasn't much substance to him."

"I abstained from voting in November," he wrote in an e-mail. "Living in Illinois, my vote means close to nothing as there was no chance Obama would not win the state." If he had to choose a politician to support, Alkhateeb said, it would be Ohio Democratic Rep. Dennis Kucinich.

Fire Judge Sharon Keller!

Texas Court of Criminal Appeals Judge
Sharon Keller's actions may've cost a man his life:

A Texas judge who closed her court before a death row inmate could file an appeal plans to testify at the ethics trial where she faces charges that could end her career.

Judge Sharon Keller, the presiding judge of the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, is on trial herself nearly two years after refusing to keep the court open past 5 p.m. on Sept. 25, 2007, with Michael Wayne Richard's execution imminent and his lawyers scrambling to file an appeal.

Charged with five counts of judicial misconduct, Keller sat quietly at the defense table Monday, only standing to acknowledge that she planned to testify. She could take the stand as early as Tuesday.

State investigators opened the special hearing by accusing Keller of "willfully" circumventing protocol by ordering the court closed at the normal hour. Her attorney said Keller was simply referring to the time the building closed, and that another judge inside also may have known about the pending appeal.

In the nation's busiest death-penalty state, where Keller has been mocked by critics as "Sharon Killer" for her tough-on-crime reputation, the day began with capital punishment opponents in the gallery and Richard's family members arriving toward the end.

"When the government has a death penalty, it is essential that there be not the perception but the reality that it is administered error-free," said Mike McKetta, the lead lawyer for the state Commission on Judicial Conduct.

Richard, who was condemned for the 1986 rape and murder of a Houston-area nurse, never had his appeal reach the courthouse that day and was executed hours later.

A Republican who has served on the court since 1994, Keller is the highest-ranking judge in Texas to be put on trial by the commission.

As many people already know Texas has long been the death penalty capital of the world and Judge Keller has a well-earned reputation for helping to keep it that way. But there is no excuse for Keller to close off an appeal because it going to be 20 minutes late. Granted we ask that our judges not have empathy, but this wasn't about deciding a case, it about a judge more interested in protecting her rep, screw all else. Sharon Keller should never be allowed to serve on the bench again.

More Idiot Gun Nuts Bring Firearms To Obama Rallies

In ObamaCare, the GOP has finally found an issue to rally their base around. And it's working. But now that conservatives have Barry on the ropes, the yahoos in the Far-Right's gun wing want to come out with their holier-than-thou "right to bear arms" BS around the President of the United States--a President whose received an unprecedented amount of death threats. Again, what part of stupid do they not understand?

Barack Obama Misread His Mandate

Excellent piece by Jay Cost for Real Clear Politics:

After a rough week for health care reform, Democratic leaders appear to be pulling back on their demand for a public option. It remains to be seen whether liberal Democrats, especially in the House where they are more numerous, will go along with this. But this is still a step in the right direction to get something passed this year.

The public option was an overreach. The White House's erroneous belief that it could get it through the legislature - or at least that it could let four out of five congressional committees push it - was a misinterpretation of last year's election results. It has already made a similar mistake with cap-and-trade, backing a House bill that appears to have no chance of success in the Senate.

Bismarck once commented that politics is the art of the possible. So far, the White House has not exhibited a good understanding of exactly what is possible in this political climate. It has been acting as though the President's election was a major change in the ideological orientation of the country.

A lot of liberals certainly saw it as such. All the strained comparisons of Obama to Franklin Roosevelt were a tipoff that many were talking themselves into the idea that the 2008 election created an opportunity for a substantial, leftward shift in policy. Yet the election of 2008 was not like the 1932 contest. It wasn't like 1952, 1956, 1964, 1972, 1980, 1984, or even 1988, either. Obama's election was narrower than all of these. FDR won 42 of 48 states. Eisenhower won 39, then 41. Johnson won 44 of 50. Nixon won 49. Reagan won 44, then 49. George H.W. Bush won 40. Obama won 28, three fewer than George W. Bush in his narrow 2004 reelection.

This makes a crucial difference when it comes to implementing policy. Our system of government depends not only on how many votes you win, but how broadly distributed those votes are. This prevents one section or faction from railroading another. It is evident in the Electoral College and the House, but above all in the Senate, where 44 senators come from states that voted against Obama last year. That's a consequence of the fact that Obama's election - while historic in many respects, and the largest we have seen in 20 years - was still not as broad-based as many would like to believe. Bully for Obama and the Democrats that they have 60 Senators, but the fact remains that thirteen of them come from McCain states, indicating that the liberals don't get the full run of the show.

For whatever reason, the Obama administration has acted as if those hagiographical comparisons to FDR were apt. It let its liberal allies from the coasts drive the agenda and write the key bills, and it's played straw man semantic games to marginalize the opposition. For all the President's moaning in The Audacity of Hope about how the Bush administration was railroading the minority into accepting far right proposals - he was prepared to let his Northeastern and Pacific Western liberal allies do exactly the same thing: write bills that excite the left, infuriate the right, and scare the center; insist on speedy passage through the Congress; and use budget reconciliation to ram it through in case the expected super majority did not emerge.

This might have flown during FDR's 100 Days. But this is not 1933 and Barack Obama is no Franklin Roosevelt.

No matter what you think about John McCain, the fact that 59 million people voted for him last election shouldn't ever be taken for granted. And that's exactly what Obama and his stans on the Left are doing.

PETA Takes Aim At Fat Women With "Save The Whales" Ad Campaign

HuffPo.com:

PETA's new billboard campaign in Florida is raising eyebrows and ire among women and health groups. A drawing on billboards in Jacksonville depicts an obese woman with the phrase, "Save The Whales, Lose The Blubber: Go Vegetarian."

In a press release, PETA stated:

A new PETA billboard campaign that was just launched in Jacksonville reminds people who are struggling to lose weight -- and who want to have enough energy to chase a beach ball -- that going vegetarian can be an effective way to shed those extra pounds that keep them from looking good in a bikini. [....]

Anyone wishing to achieve a hot "beach bod" is reminded that studies show that vegetarians are, on average, about 10 to 20 pounds lighter than meat-eaters. [...]

"Trying to hide your thunder thighs and balloon belly is no day at the beach," says PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. "PETA has a free 'Vegetarian Starter Kit' for people who want to lose pounds while eating as much as they like.

Jessica at Feministing blasts the billboard as "fat-shaming" and that "PETA owes the residents of Jacksonville a serious apology."

Holly at Deceiver states, "This is exactly what you would expect [from PETA] -- no empathy for humans whatsoever, just a lot of B.S. about how vegetarianism will make fat people just a little bit less of a blight on humanity."

PETA is known for its attention-grabbing tactics involving scantily clad-women, like this veggie dog eat-in on Capitol Hill that involved playboy playmates wearing only lettuce bikinis.

Of course to the shallow, elitist, white liberal crowd, anything over 120lbs. on a woman is considered "fat"--just look at the stick figures who get the major fashion magazine covers. Regardless PETA once again shows itself to be a disgrace pulling a stunt like this.

Desperate Obama Evokes Dead Grandmother To Get Sympathy For ObamaCare

With polls showing that more Americans
now in opposition to his socialist healthcare reform package, Barack Obama is clearly getting desperate:

Now, it's personal.

President Barack Obama on Saturday invoked his own anguish over the death of a loved one as he challenged the debunked notion that Democratic efforts to overhaul the nation's health care would include "death panels."

"I just lost my grandmother last year. I know what it's like to watch somebody you love, who's aging, deteriorate and have to struggle with that," an impassioned Obama told a crowd in Grand Junction, Colo., as he spoke of Madelyn Payne Dunham. He took issue with "the notion that somehow I ran for public office or members of Congress are in this so they can go around pulling the plug on grandma."

"When you start making arguments like that, that's simply dishonest -- especially when I hear the arguments coming from members of Congress in the other party who, turns out, sponsored similar provisions," Obama said.

In a debate in which he often sounds professor-like, Obama spoke with a rare bit of emotion that seemed to counter that of vocal health care opponents as he referenced the beloved grandmother who helped raise him and who he called "Toot." She died of cancer at age 86 on Nov. 2, two days before he won election to become the nation's first African-American president.

He talked about her death while answering a question about misinformation being spread about Democratic health care efforts during a town hall style gathering in a high school gymnasium.

"Health care is really hard. This is not easy. I'm a reasonably dedicated student to this issue. I've got a lot of really smart people around me who've been working on this for months now," he said. "There is no perfect painless silver bullet out there that solves every problem, gives everybody health care for free. There isn't. I wish there was."

But he said that because there's no perfect solution to solving health care, opponents "start saying things like we want to set up death panels to pull the plug on grandma."

There was a time not too long ago when Barack Obama was the most liberal senator in all of Congress. Now that he's President, Barack has to deal with the fact that barely over 20% of Americans identify themselves as "liberal". After the Bush-Cheney era, Barack and his stans on the Left imagined themselves a cozy existence. And sure, the libs have made small steps in making their mark within the 7 months Barry's been in charge, but loons clearly want more, much more. Yet smart, intelligent Americans everywhere are standing up to say that they can't be bullied on matters concerning their livelihood like healthcare. And the more liberals fail to understand and respect that, the more Barry and his minions will utterly fail.
