D-List Actress Janeane Garafalo Equats Any Criticism Of Obama With Being "RACIST!"

Gotta love it when white liberals use the race card:
Left-wing activist/actress Janeane Garofalo, now starring on Fox's '24', went on a wild rant Thursday night, on MSNBC's Countdown, impugning those who attended the Wednesday tea parties as racists and denigrating the brain power of anyone who watches the Fox News Channel. (In his Thursday night post, “Garofalo: Tea Party Goers Are Racists Who Hate Black President,” Noel Sheppard provided an embedded video of the entire segment with Keith Olbermann as well as a full transcript.)

Here, however, is an edited video (matching MP3 audio), just over two-minutes in length, of her most-outrageous smears uttered on the April 16 program.

“This is about hating a black man in the White House. This is racism, straight up. That is nothing but a bunch of tea-bagging rednecks. And there is no way around that,” she scurrilously charged. After comparing conservatives to “white power activists,” she continued: “This is about racism. It could be any issue, any port in a storm. These guys hate that a black guy is in the White House.”
Any wonder this chick has never made it in Hollyweird: she's certifiably nuts. Even more hilarious are nutjobs like Olbermann who give this lunatic a platform to perform her rants--any wonder why O'Reilly continues to kill Krazy Keith in the ratings.

Ex-McCain Aide Tells GOP To Embrace Gay Marriage

I realize that there are a small coalition of young, liberal Republicans (like Meaghan McCain) who are trying to be heard in this country, but the idea that protecting traditional is not a conservative issue, when liberals advocate everything from same-sex marriages to adultery to matriarchal families, is just ass-backwards. Plus, when you simplify marriage with "rights" you're again showing that you really don't have a clue. Any wonder why this guy worked for John McCain?

Anti-FOX News, Obama Stan Susan Roesgen Was Twice Turned Down By FOX

Well, if you can't beat 'em (much less join 'em), hate 'em:
CNN's Susan Roesgen went nuts on the air Wednesday at a Chicago tea party, blaming everything (accurately) on Fox News. But maybe she was angry because Fox turned her down for a job—twice!

Roesgen got snippy with a crazy interviewee while trying to cover the tea partiers, and the crowd turned on her. "I think you get the general tenor of this," she said. "It's anti-government, anti-CNN since this is highly promoted by the right-wing conservative network Fox."

Back in 2005, though, according to a Fox News source, Roesgen really wanted to work for that right-wing conservative network. She sent a tape of her on-air work to Fox's then-programming chief Kevin Magee in January 2005, and followed up with another reel to Magee's successor Bill Shine in September 2005. Needless to say, she didn't get the gig.

Roesgen didn't respond to an e-mail request for comment, and a CNN spokeswoman said, "I don't know anything about that."

Obama Puts Country At Risk With Release Of Torture Memos

YahooNews.com:
Amid calls for torture prosecutions, former Bush administration officials Friday slammed President Barack Obama's release of terror interrogation memos, warning the move would fuel "timidity and fear" among US spies.

Unhappy with Obama's promise not to prosecute CIA officials, human rights groups have demanded criminal investigations of officials who approved or used the interrogation techniques chillingly detailed in the Justice Department memos.

But in an editorial in The Wall Street Journal, former CIA director Michael Hayden and former attorney general Michael Mukasey charged that disclosure of the memos "was unnecessary as a legal matter, and is unsound as a matter of policy."

"Its effect will be to invite the kind of institutional timidity and fear of recrimination that weakened intelligence gathering in the past, and that we came sorely to regret on September 11, 2001."

White House senior adviser David Axelrod countered that Obama's decision to release the memos written by top legal officials in George W. Bush's administration was "a weighty decision."

Obama "thought very long and hard about it, consulted widely, because there were two principles at stake," Axelrod told the Politico news website.

"One is the sanctity of covert operations and keeping faith with the people who do them, and the impact on national security, on the one hand. And the other was the law and his belief in transparency."

This was nothing but Barry catering to his left-wing, loon base at the risk of putting Americans at danger. Think most Americans care about potential terrorists, the kind of human's who'll blow up innocent women and children on a whim, suffering from interrogation tactics, knowing full well that these people will die for their cause? While women in Afghanistan are being faced with the potential enactment of marital laws that basically amount to rape, the Hate-Bush crowd is seeking vengeance. Muslim extremists should be treated like the bloodthirsty, psychos that they are, especially when the safety of our country is at risk.

Tea Party Protester Pwnes Bush-Hating, CNN Pseudo-Journalist Susan Roesgen

This clip is already making the rounds: more proof of Bush-hating, CNN "journalist" Susan Roesgen, who got belligerent on camera after a crowd of Chicago Tea Party protesters, on Tuesday. caught onto her act of cherry-picking anti-Obama protesters for her liberal viewers at home. Look on as Roesgen gets owned by a Tea Party protester (this woman needs her own show!) who confronts Roesgen on what the Tea Party is really about, her liberal bias and the faux "outrage" she displays at the event. Again, Roesgen had NO PROBLEM joking, on air, about a Bush=Hitler mask at a left-wing protest 3 years ago.

Texas Governor Rick Perry Has Liberals In Panic Mode

YahooNews.com:
In a state that once was its own nation, a Republican governor who talked about secession without completely dismissing the idea has Democratic lawmakers in an uproar.

Gov. Rick Perry, in comments following an anti-tax "tea party" Wednesday, never did advocate Texas breaking away from the United States but suggested that Texans might at some point get so fed up they would want to leave the union. That was enough to feed opinions for and against secession on Web sites, cable TV and talk radio across the nation.

At the Texas Capitol on Thursday, Rep. Jim Dunnam of Waco, joined by several fellow Texas House Democrats, said some people associate talk of secession with racial division and the Civil War and that Perry should disavow any notion of seceding.

"Talk of secession is an attack on our country. It can be nothing else. It is the ultimate anti-American statement," Dunnam said at a news conference.

State Sen. Rodney Ellis, a Houston Democrat, said that by not rejecting the possibility of secession out of hand, Perry "is taking a step down a very dangerous and divisive path encouraged by the fringe of Texas politics."

The Democrats are proposing a House resolution expressing "complete and total disagreement with any fringe element advocating the 'secession' of Texas or any other state from our one and indivisible Union."

Perry emphasized Thursday that he is not advocating secession but understands why Americans may have those feelings because of frustration with Washington, D.C. He said it's fine to express the thought. He offered no apology and did not back away from his earlier comments.

Higher taxes. A liberal President who keeps going back on his word. Pork-drenched stimulus plans. Policies that open the door to a socialist state. Gee, would any American be upset with any of that?

CNN's Susan Roesgen: Obama Stan And Hypocrite

Seems like we finally have a liberal reporter publicly confessing to their leftwing bias. CNN's Susan Roesgen, while covering one of yesterday's Tea Parties in Chicago, became upset when she encountered some protesters, which led to a rant about the crowd supposedly being "anti-CNN" as well as a confrontation with another protester who dared to call Obama a "fascist".

Of course, liberal reporters never seemed to care when Krazy Keith Olbermann was calling former President Bush a "fascist" every week. And 3 years ago Roesgen herself didn't have a problem joking about a Bush/Hitler mask. Surely, MSNBC will soon be calling Roesgen's people to have her anchor a show for them. It's just funny when people like Roesgen try to portray themselves as objective journalists.

Hypocrisy we can believe in.

MSNBC Equates Republicans With Right-Wing Hate Groups

Newsbusters.org:

MSNBC featured the Republican Party's elephant logo in a segment on Wednesday's "MSNBC News Live" about the possible rise of right-wing hate groups. Anchor Contessa Brewer introduced the piece by asserting, "The White House is warning that a bad economy, combined with the election of the nation's first black President, could draw new extremist right-wing members, especially war veterans, to a dangerous cause." An onscreen graphic behind her featured a red and blue Republican elephant and fretted, "New Right-Wing Threat?" Even if one were to believe the report, how fair is it for MSNBC to link one of America's two major parties to such violence?

A second graphic for the remainder of the segment hyperbolically wondered, "Rise of the Radical Right?" Brewer interviewed Washington Times correspondent Eli Lake, who broke the story of the new Department of Homeland Security (DHS) report on Tuesday. After Lake pointed out that a footnote in the DHS analysis defines right-wing extremists as both hate groups, such as the Ku Klux Klan, and also those concerned with state rights, Brewer inquired, "Are there any of these groups that have shown violent tendencies, trying to organize, overthrow the government or anything along those lines?" Lake chuckled and mused, "I mean, other than, I guess, you know, people in the Revolutionary War in 1776?"

To be fair to Brewer, she did appear skeptical of the report at times. In one instance, she asked "how realistic" this supposed threat is. The host also queried as to whether the analysis was an effort to push "people who disagree with the administration, disagree with the stand on stimulus, trying to push them into something far more radical?"
So according to this backwards logic groups like Code Pink, PETA, Planned Parenthood and The New Black Panther Party and the like are representative of the Democratic Party, therefore making Dems responsible for all their heinous acts. Bottom line, MSNBC needs to STFU and look in the mirror before they call anyone biased.

John Murtha Cleared In Marines Defamation Lawsuit

Newsmax.com:
A federal appeals court ruled Tuesday that Rep. John Murtha cannot be sued for accusing U.S. Marines of murdering Iraqi civilians "in cold blood," remarks that sparked outrage among conservative commentators.

The appeals court in Washington dismissed a defamation lawsuit brought by a Marine who led the squad in the attack. The judges agreed with Murtha that he was immune from the lawsuit because he was acting in his official role as a lawmaker when he made the comments to reporters.

Staff Sgt. Frank Wuterich of Meriden, Conn., claimed Murtha damaged his reputation by saying the squad he was leading engaged in "cold-blooded murder and war crimes" in Haditha, Iraq, on Nov. 19, 2005.

At a Capitol Hill news conference in May 2006, Murtha predicted that a Pentagon war crimes investigation would show the Marines killed dozens of innocent Iraqi civilians in Haditha.

Military prosecutors have said two dozen Iraqis, including women and children, were killed in Haditha after one Marine died and two others were wounded by a roadside bomb. Wuterich is charged with voluntary manslaughter and other allegations, the only person still facing charges in the attack.

He has pleaded not guilty. He is accused of ordering his men to clear several houses with grenades and gunfire, leading to the civilian deaths.

Republicans and conservatives accused Murtha, a decorated Vietnam veteran and retired Marine Reserves colonel, of convicting the Marines before the investigation was concluded and fueling enemy attacks in retaliation. GOP challengers tried to use the comments against Murtha in the 2006 and 2008 campaigns, but his constituents overwhelmingly re-elected the congressman who has represented them since 1974.

Murtha, who is opposed to the Iraq war, has said he made the comments to draw attention to the pressure put on troops in Iraq and efforts to cover up the incident. He did not mention Wuterich or any other Marines by name.

A three-judge panel on U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit found that Murtha could not be sued under the 1988 Westfall Act, which gives federal employees immunity from lawsuits arising out of acts they undertake in the course of their official duties.

Now that Murtha has basically been granted immunity to say what the hell he wants, you can bet there'll be even more outrageous comments coming down the pipe from this idiot. Bottom line, will Pennsylvanian's ever see the light and get rid of the political stains that are John Murtha and Arlen Specter? Or will they each have to retire first?

Liberal, Mainstream Media Ignores Tea Parties

OneNewsNow.com:
The mainstream media provided extensive coverage of the protests surrounding California's ban on same-sex "marriage," but appears to be virtually ignoring the grassroots "TEA parties" that are drawing huge crowds across the country. One conservative media watchdog organization has a problem with that.

Dan Gainor is vice president for business and culture at the Culture and Media Institute (CMI). He says with Tax Day just a day away, the national news media is continuing to shirk its responsibility by refusing to cover the "Taxed Enough Already" -- or TEA party -- movement.

Gainor says the TEA parties drew 30,000 people to 50 events on February 27, and organizers are hoping to have hundreds of thousands of attendees at more than 1,500 events tomorrow (April 15). But the mainstream media, he argues, was more concerned about giving coverage to homosexuals protesting passage of Proposition 8 -- a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage in California -- than they are the concerns of ordinary Americans about the massive government bailouts.

The CMI spokesman says journalists should not let their support for President Obama get in the way of doing what is right.

"The mainstream media are on Obama's side in a big way," he observes, "so why are they going to go write about something that they clearly don't agree with and knocks their guy -- even though I think it's pretty obvious that the TEA party protests are non-partisan."
With the Tea Party movement literally growing in numbers libs now seem to be "outraged" at all the attention FOX News is giving it, while the mainstream press in general ignores it. Funny too that most libs seemed to deem the Tea Parties pretty insignificant not too long ago.

"Free Mumia!" Liberals To Take It Straight To Obama

As if Barack Obama didn't have enough pressure coming from the Far-Left fringe society of idiots, now there's more:

Supporters of internationally known Philadelphia cop-killer Mumia Abu-Jamal" title="Topic: Mumia Abu-Jamal" class="tpstyle">Mumia Abu-Jamal say they want help from the White House.

The U.S. Supreme Court last week denied a new trial for Abu-Jamal, a former Black Panther convicted of murdering Philadelphia Police Officer Daniel Faulkner, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported Sunday.

His supporters are circulating petitions urging U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder Jr. to intervene. Supporters said they will also ask U.S. Rep. Chaka Fattah, D-Pa., to take their plea to President Barack Obama.

"This is a new administration, and we are looking for honesty and fairness," said MOVE member Pam Africa, one of the organizers.

The Supreme Court is still considering a petition by prosecutors to reinstate Abu-Jamal's death sentence, the newspaper reported.

The "Free Mumia!" contingent is a righteous squad that includes many well-known Hollyweird liberals such as Ed Asner and Susan Sarandon. They tried this move with Bill Clinton and got turned down, expect them to bring out the race card for Barack.

David Paterson, Renowned Adulterer, Trying To Push Gay Marriage Down New Yorker Throats

NYTimes.com:

Gov. David A. Paterson on Thursday will announce plans to introduce legislation to legalize same-sex marriage, according to people with knowledge of the governor’s plans.

Mr. Paterson’s move, which he first signaled last week after Vermont became the fourth state to allow gay and lesbian couples to wed, reflects the governor’s desire to press the issue with lawmakers in Albany as other states move ahead with efforts to grant more civil rights to homosexuals.

The action in Vermont, where state legislators overrode Gov. Jim Douglas’s veto of a bill legalizing same-sex marriage, came less than a week after the Iowa Supreme Court granted same-sex couples the right to marry.

Mr. Paterson has said in recent days that the State Legislature should move ahead now with the legislation regardless of whether it can muster enough votes. His reasoning, which some gay rights advocates have challenged, is that New York should make a statement that it is committed to treating same-sex couples the same way it treats opposite-sex couples.

The announcement will take place at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Mr. Paterson’s office in Midtown Manhattan, said people who were briefed on the governor’s plans but who asked not to be identified because they did not want to upstage the governor.
Most Americans do not agree with "gay marriage" and traditional marriage has served as the backbone of Western civilization, but why should a serial adulterer like David Paterson care? Especially when you consider that with his current approval rating hovering around 19%, Paterson has to do anything he can to win back his liberal base so he can get re-elected. Indeed, for liberals, marriage has become nothing but another instrument to exploit their self-serving, immoral agenda--and the needy pols are right there along with them to open the door.

Prosecutors To Seek Death Penalty Against Casey Anthony

CNN.com:
In a dramatic reversal, the Florida state attorney's office announced Monday it will seek the death penalty against Casey Anthony, the 23-year-old woman charged in the death of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee.

The state had previously said it would not ask for the death sentence for Anthony.

The development could have a major impact on how the case plays out at trial, including whether defense attorney Jose Baez can stay on the case.

Baez has not been certified by the court to defend capital punishment cases.

Prosecutors announced their change in strategy in a letter of intent. Read the letter of intent (pdf)

Meanwhile, Anthony's defense filed a motion on Friday with Orange County Circuit Court, seeking more phone records from a dozen people involved in the case. The motion asks for any and all records for "phone calls, text messages, P2P communications, Internet usage, WAP usage, and cell tower pings."

The defense wants records from the defendant's parents, George and Cindy Anthony; her former fiancé, Jesse Grund; her brother, Lee Anthony; a friend, Amy Huizenga; and Roy Kronk, the meter reader who found Caylee's remains in December of last year.

Mel Gibson's Wife Files For Divorce

TMZ.com:
We've learned Mel Gibson's wife Robyn has just filed legal papers to divorce Mel Gibson, her husband of 28 years, citing "irreconcilable differences." Pretty ironic -- Robyn signed the papers the day before Good Friday. Sources tell us there is no prenuptial agreement -- they were married in 1980, before Mel Gibson amassed a fortune estimated at $900 million back in 2006. Under the laws of California, community property -- which includes earnings -- is divided 50/50. The Gibsons have 7 children, but only one -- Tom, who turns 10 tomorrow -- is a minor. In Robyn's legal papers, filed this morning in L.A. County Superior Court, she seeks joint physical and legal custody of Tom. Robyn is also asking for spousal support and attorneys fees. Robyn lists the date of separation as "to be determined." This is important, because earnings generally cease to be community property when the couple separates. There could be a skirmish over this. We're told the couple grew increasingly apart over the last few years, especially since Mel's drunk driving arrest in 2006. There have been reports that Mel has been involved with another woman, which the actor denies, but we're told the reasons for the divorce go beyond any third party.
Damn. I was never really a big fan of Mel Gibson the Actor fan (except for a couple of the "Lethal Weapon" flicks), but I always admired him for being a successful, conservative actor in liberal Hollywood. And as much as libs love to tell you that religious or conservative movies don't make money, Gibson's self-produced, mega-hit "The Passion of the Christ" proved them all wrong. I knew he had been married for awhile and was passionate regarding his feelings on marriage and family, so one hopes that it wasn't adultery that played into why the marriage ended.

Obama, Navy Seals Take Out Somali Pirates

Looks like Barry did a good job here:
President Barack Obama twice authorized the military to rescue a U.S. captain held by Somali pirates and whose life appeared to be at risk, administration official said hours after Sunday's rescue.

The Defense Department twice asked Obama for permission to use military force to rescue Capt. Richard Phillips from a lifeboat off the Somali coast, most recently late Friday evening. On Saturday morning, Obama signed off on the Pentagon's request, as he had a day earlier, said officials who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal deliberations.

Somali pirates last week took the Maersk Alabama off the Horn of Africa. The crew fought back the pirates and reclaimed the ship, but Phillips was taken hostage aboard a lifeboat. Navy ships soon were on their way to the area.

A senior administration official said the president's order authorized force for a group of military assets that arrived at the scene late last week. When more resources arrived, Obama added them to a roster of military personnel allowed to engage militarily with the Somali pirates.

White House officials on Sunday said Obama received regular updates by phone and in person at the White House. The president was in the residence when officials called him to alert him the five-day standoff was over.

The White House soon released a statement praising Phillips' behavior.

"I share the country's admiration for the bravery of Capt. Phillips and his selfless concern for his crew," Obama said. "His courage is a model for all Americans."

It was Obama's first public comment on the situation. Administration officials said the president made an effort not to call attention to the hostage situation while it was ongoing. Officials said they didn't want to send mixed signals to the pirates or do anything that might threaten Phillips' life.

Hey, I have no problem giving credit to the Teleprompter-In-Chief when it's due and it seems that he handled this crisis pretty well. Props too to Capt. Richard Phillips for all his heroics and making it out in good health. Hey, Joe Biden warned us all that Barry would be tested early and so far he's been more than right.

Newt Gingrich Slams Hype Over Obama's Dog

CNN.com:
Former Republican House Speaker Newt Gingrich weighed in Sunday on news that the first family has finally settled on a new puppy for daughters Malia and Sasha.

“I hope that the girls love the dog,” Gingrich said on ABC’s “This Week.” “I hope the family – and all the pressure they’re going to be in – finds it useful. And I think that this whole thing is fairly stupid.”

The six-month-old puppy is a Portuguese water dog that the Obamas have decided to name Bo. The dog is a gift to the first family from Massachusetts Sen. Ted Kennedy, a longtime Obama political ally who also owns several dogs of the breed.

“It’s great that they have a dog. It’s great that the kids are adjusting,” Gingrich said. “And where they got it from – who cares? It’s a nice gesture on Senator Kennedy’s part to give it to them but who cares?” Gingrich added.

I'll be fair and say that Newt does sound like he's just hating here. I mean going back to Bill Clinton, I can recall First Dog's getting their fair share of the press. So instead of what brand of Puppy Chow Bo likes, Newt needs to get back behind the wheel and concentrate on getting his party back in order.

Barack Obama's Brother Arrested In Teen Sex Assault Case

LondonTimes.com:

BARACK OBAMA’s half-brother has been refused entry to Britain after reportedly being accused of an attempted sex attack on a 13-year-old girl on his last visit.

Samson Obama, who runs a mobile phone shop in Nairobi in Kenya, was on his way to the president’s inauguration in January when he tried to stop over in Britain to visit relatives. But he was turned away by immigration officers who declined to issue a visa on the grounds of deception.

Biometric tests carried out at East Midlands airport showed that he was linked to the attack on a girl in Berkshire last November but never charged, according to a report last night. Further checks identified Samson as the half-brother of President Obama, leading to a hurried call to the White House.

A Home Office source told the News of the World: “This was obviously an extremely sensitive issue when it was flashed up by the database.” Officers had noticed that one of the documents that Samson had supplied with his visa application was false which led them to make further inquiries, according to a Home Office spokesman.

For all the love Barry's immediate family has gotten from the liberal press, the lack of coverage on the mess that is his extended family is just, well, simply amazing.
