Geico Becomes 5th Advertiser To Dump Glenn Beck

TimesOfTheInternet.com:

A number of U.S. advertisers say they have decided not to run ads on Fox News Channel's "The Glenn Beck Program" after complaints by viewers.

The complaints followed a recent incident in which Beck said President Barack Obama is a "racist" who has a "deep-seated hatred for white people," The Huffington Post reported Tuesday.

ColorOfChange.org, an organization that advocates for black Americans, urged members to contact advertisers and urge them to pull ads from Beck's highly rated TV show.

The Huffington Post report said NexisLexis-owned Lawyers.com, Procter & Gamble and Progressive Insurance have agreed not to advertise on the show.

Good for Geico. Like I said before, FOX News needs to get rid of Glenn Beck. His inflammatory, hateful and dishonest rhetoric is not worth it. Kanye West was an idiot for accusing former President Bush of not "caring about Black people," but he's an entertainer who should never be taken seriously when it comes to politics. Glenn Beck is a longtime radio and TV political pundit who had the audacity to call the President (and a man who happens be half-white, btw) a "racist" with nothing to back him up. Glenn Beck is an a-hole and FOX would do well to distance themselves from him as soon as possible.
