Obama Aide Quits After New York City Air Photo Flap

CNN.com:
President Obama has accepted the resignation of Louis Caldera, the director of the White House Military Office responsible for the controversial low-altitude flyover of New York by a 747 plane used as Air Force One, the White House said Friday.

The photo shoot, which President Obama said he was "furious" with, happened on April 27. The image of a low-flying plane accompanied by an F-16 fighter jet sent some New Yorkers into the streets and into a panic -- reminding them of the tragic 9/11 attacks on the city.

Building evacuations also took place across the Hudson River in Jersey City, New Jersey. Read more of Obama's reaction

Caldera later apologized for the flyover.

"I have concluded that the controversy surrounding the Presidential Airlift Group's aerial photo shoot over New York City has made it impossible for me to effectively lead the White House Military Office," Caldera said in a letter to Obama.

Again, this kind of stuff happens when you elect an inexperienced man to run the country. Selection of cabinet members reflects leadership and this was yet another example of an utter FAIL by the Obama administration. Indeed, public pressure was the only reason Barry reversed course and decided to release the one photo that's been released of a then-mysterious 747 bearing down on a building in NYC with two fighter planes on its tail.

Conservatives are well aware of Barry's ignorance regarding the security of our country, much less the tragic events that took place on 9/11, but who knew that he'd have the gall to shove our faces in it? Funny too that Barry would choose to release this one photo on a Friday afternoon--good time to release news that one wants buried. Anyway, the resignation of an inept low-level cabinet member isn't enough, we need to see some lawsuits come out of this.
