Ida Ljungqvist Is The First Black Playmate of the Year!

My guess is that this wasn't on the top of the priority list for Black folks who overwhelmingly voted for Barry this past year begging for "change", but hey, what the heck:

Hugh Hefner named Ida Ljungqvist Playboy’s 50^th Playmate of the Year tonight at the Palms Casino Resort. She is the first-ever African born Playmate. Celebrity Apprentice star and 2001 Playmate of the Year, Brande Roderick hosted the event along with Palms owner George Maloof. Along with her title, Ida received $100,000 in prize money, a 2009 Mazada6 sports sedan and a very special one-of-a kind engraved bottle of Patron Platinum.

Guests included Holly Madison, Jeff Garcia, Michael Andretti, Deron Williams (Utah Jazz), along with more than 50 Playmates across 6 decades. Guests enjoyed dinner from Kerry Simon from Simon at Palms Place. After the event Hugh Hefner and Ida celebrated at the Playboy Club inside the fantasy tower at the Palms.

The torch gets passed from one ho to another. Congrats!

UPDATE: A reader at Booker Rising noted that Ira Ljungqvist is NOT the first Black "Playmate of the Year", Renee Tenison has that honor. My bad.
