FOX Doing Dating Show For Dudes Who Love "Fat" Women

A new Fox reality dating show, titled More to Love, has began casting its "average-looking" contestants, according to The Hollywood Reporter. With a format similar to The Bachelor (Bachelor exec producer Mike Fleiss is teaming up with Mike Darnell, Fox's president of alternative programming, on the series),the contestants will vie for one man, who is being labeled as a "Kevin James type," by going on lavish dates.

One new category being added to the mix: makeovers... but not of the physical kind. "We want to send the message that you can be the size you are and still be lovable," Fleiss told THR. "We aren't going to thin these girls down so they can find love -- that's a backwards message." Adds Darnell, "For six years it's been skinny-minis and good-looking bachelors, and that's not what the dating world looks like." No air date for the series has been set.

Hey, in a society obsessed with looks and size-2, airhead pin-up dolls, I say it's about time a dating show like this was born. The average woman wears a size 14 dress, yet liberal Hollywood, for all their claims to be "tolerant", rarely, if ever, showcases big girls (unless they're rich, leftwing, lunatics Oprah or Rosie O'Donnell). Besides that, I'm sick of always having to look at these anorexic, bulimia-suffering "models" on TV all the time (being able to see your ribs from the outside is not "average"). Shoot, I'll take one of those chicks in that "average women" Dove ad over Angelina Jolie or Jessica Alba any day of the week.
