Is John Edwards Cheating On His Beloved Wife Elizabeth?

We all know that something little like adultery is traditional for Democrat politicians, but when you happen to have a wife at home that's stricken with cancer (and has been nothing but an advocate for you every step of your political career), you'd think one would be a little more discreet when going out for secret rendezvous to hook up with their mistress:

A Beverly Hills hotel security guard told FOXNews.com he intervened this week between a man he identified as former Sen. John Edwards and tabloid reporters who chased down the former presidential hopeful after what they're calling a rendezvous with his mistress and love child.

The Beverly Hilton Hotel guard said he encountered a shaken and ashen-faced Edwards — whom he did not immediately recognize — in a hotel men's room early Tuesday morning in a literal tug-of-war with reporters on the other side of the door.

"What are they saying about me?" the guard said Edwards asked.

"His face just went totally white," the guard said, when Edwards was told the reporters were shouting out questions about Edwards and Rielle Hunter, a woman the National Enquirer says is the mother of his child.

The guard said he escorted Edwards, who was not a registered guest at the hotel, out of the building after 2 a.m. Edwards did not say anything while he was escorted out, said the guard, adding that at times the reporters on the scene were "rough on him," sticking a camera in his face and shouting questions.

Edwards shouldn't feel bad, unlike those staunch conservatives who keep their marriage vows, liberal Democrats like him just love sex, especially with women who aren't their wives!

Two-Thirds Of Journalists Want Barack Obama To Win Presidency

Newsbusters.com:
Just days after a Rasmussen Reports survey was released showing more than three times as many likely voters “believe most reporters will try to help Obama with their coverage” than help John McCain, a Fox News/Opinion Dynamics poll taken July 22-23 of 900 registered voters discovered six times as many think “most member of the media” want Obama to win than wish for a McCain victory. On Thursday's Special Report, FNC's Brit Hume relayed: “67 percent of the respondents think most media members want Obama to win. Just 11 percent think most in the media are for McCain.”

A FoxNews.com article added this damning finding: “Only about 1 in 10 (11 percent) volunteers the belief that the media is neutral on the race to become the 44th President of the United States.” Those polled recognize the tilt in action: “When asked to rate the objectivity of media coverage of the campaigns, Americans feel Obama gets more of a positive spin by a better than 7-to-1 margin (46 percent more positive toward Obama; 6 percent more positive toward McCain).”

Indeed, you only a fool or a liberal would think that there isn't rampant liberal bias in the mainstream press.

Conservatives Must Get Behind William Russell, Rid Ourselves Of John Murtha

Far be it for me to get behind anything the irascible Malkin states, but she's on point here:
Russell’s clear on where he stands. No doubt Barack Obama would label him bitter and clingy. “I am a Conservative,” he says in his defining campaign statement. “I believe in the sovereignty and security of this one nation, under God. I believe the primary role of government is to provide for the common defense and a legal framework to protect families and individual liberty. … I believe that no one owes me anything just because I live and breathe.”

The excitement and buzz around Russell stand in stark contrast to grass-roots disgust on the right with Beltway Republicans who continue to push the party to the left in a brain-dead attempt to “rebrand” the GOP. He has united pro-troops families, social conservatives, fiscal conservatives, Reagan Democrats and Independents fed up with Murtha’s culture of corruption dating back to his Abscam days in the 1980s. Murtha was not indicted in the infamous bribery probe, but he was videotaped entertaining a $50,000 bribe from undercover FBI agents posing as emissaries for Arab sheiks trying to enter our country illegally.
Conservatives have a chance to rid themselves of a man who made a name for himself by slandering our troops while for years, ripping off taxpayers in his own district by enriching self-interest groups to which he granted an earmark (including lobbyist firms headed up by his own brother). Come November, conservatives, in particular Pennsylvanians, have a chance to kick one of the most corrupt members of Congress out of office and into the street where he belongs.

Support John Russell!

$15 Million Per Year Katie Couric Plays The Sexism Card

Consistently last in the news ratings war, America's highest paid newsreader is now claiming that she is a victim of sexism and that discrimination based on gender is more prevalent - and tolerated - in US society than racism:

"I find myself in the last bastion of male dominance, and realising what Hillary Clinton might have realised not long ago: that sexism in the American society is more common than racism, and certainly more acceptable or forgivable," Miss Couric told the paper as she covered Senator Barack Obama's Middle East tour.

"In any case, I think my post and Hillary's race are important steps in the right direction."

Ms Couric, who in 2006 became the first woman to present a primetime network news broadcast solo, has faced intensive scrutiny not only of her job performance but her outfits and personal life since taking over the CBS Evening News.

What a narcissist. But then this is Couric's best hope--make herself out to be victim while playing the Hillary Clinton card and blaming sexism for her sagging ratings, not her liberal bias on reporting the news or the fact that she isn't the least bit qualified to report on world issues. Now quick, can you name a black news anchor in this country who gets paid $15 million per year? Of course you can't, because there isn't any.

Feds Drop Tax Probe On Al Sharpton

Newsmax.com:

Federal prosecutors have decided not to seek criminal charges against the Rev. Al Sharpton over his chronic tax problems, his lawyers said Tuesday.

The investigation was disbanded only after the government received a down payment Monday topping $1 million on a tax debt that had threatened to land Sharpton before a grand jury, the minister's lawyers said.

Sharpton said Tuesday he was glad to be in the clear. "I'm just grateful to God and my family, and all of our supporters," he said.

More payments will follow as Sharpton clears up a decade's worth of delinquent tax bills related to his personal business interests and his Harlem civil rights group.

Damn, close but no cigar. But can't they still ring up some charges on Sharpton for his role in the in the deaths at Freddie's Fashion Mart in '95?

Appeals Court Reverses CBS Fine Over Janet Jackson's Super Bowl Exposure

A federal appeals court today overturned the FCC's fine on CBS resulting from Janet Jackson's "wardrobe malfunction" in which her breast was exposed during her Superbowl halftime appearance.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit said the Federal Communications Commission had "arbitrarily and capriciously departed from its prior policy" that exempted fleeting broadcast material from actionable indecency violations.

Like any agency, the FCC may change its policies without judicial second-guessing. But it cannot change a well- established course of action without supplying notice of and a reasoned explanation for its policy departure," Chief Judge Anthony Scirica wrote for the three-judge panel that heard the case.

CBS says it hopes the FCC will now revert to its past policy of "restrained indecency enforcement." But then this whole "Nipplegate" episode was much ado about nothing anyway because it wasn't like CBS planned the whole thing, accidents do happen. I agree with the court's decision.

Zogby Poll: Obama Strongest With Colin Powell As VP

This is just dumb:

As the Presidential candidates ponder potential running mates, a new Zogby International telephone poll shows many voters would be more inclined to vote for Democratic Sen. Barack Obama if he were to select retired four-star general and former Secretary of State Colin Powell as his running-mate.

If Obama were to choose Powell, 42% of likely voters nationwide said it would make them more likely to support the Democratic candidate - as did 42% of Democrats and 43% of political independents.

Sorry, but I'm a realist. I don't care how much foreign-policy & military experience Colin Powell has, I don't think that America is ready for a Black president, much less two Blacks on the same ticket. It's the bias and naivete of the liberal press that just makes uninformed people believe anything they read.

Harold Ford Heckled At Loons Conference

If you're a Democrat who dares to think differently while refusing to ride the George Soros Gravy Train, you should always expect reactions like this:

Former congressman Harold Ford was billed as a sheep amidst the wolves when he was booked for an appearance at the Netroots Nation conference here in Austin. And while for the most part the DLC head and self-described 'centrist' Democrat received a cordial welcome among the progressive audience, there were a scattering of hisses, boos, and the occasionally unruly heckle during his discussion of FISA, Obama and Democratic politics more broadly.

Appearing alongside DailyKos founder Markos Moulitsas - in what has become a series of appearances for the two since they butted heads during a Meet the Press appearance last year - Ford pushed back against the notion that Obama had abandoned the netroots on the FISA fight.

"Many of the candidates that people in this room drew national attention to voted yes for FISA including Jim Webb and Claire McCaskill," he said, "as did 20 of the 30 red-to-blue candidates that were highlighted by the netroots."

For that argument, he was received with some sympathy. But the crowd wasn't too cordial later on when Ford discussed, among other things, his time as a pundit on Fox News.

"I used to work for Fox News. I no longer am there," he said after an audience member, during the Q&A session, accused him of smearing Democrats and echoing right-wing talking points. "I have great, great respect and admiration for my former colleagues there..."

Some in the crowd were incredulous, hissing Ford, asking (err... screaming) "why and who," and offering a scattering of boos.

Yeah, forget a struggling economy, higher gas prices, healthcare, crime, etc., to the liberal elite it's the possibility that Bush might be listening in on your phone while you speak to mom that Americans need to be really worried about. What idiots.
