This video has been making the rounds so I thought I'd post it here for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.
Listen, I don't buy into the idea that most people who voted for Barack Obama are stupid. Incredibly naive? Yes. Too lazy to read up on the issues? Yes. Voting for "change" (i.e. "the black guy")? Yes. But stupid, no. It's a dangerous message to paint American voters as being clueless, indeed it's the exact same memo liberals have been putting out about anyone who voted for George W. Bush for 8 years now. And in order to really move forward we don't need want to be like them, do we?
With that said, what this video does clearly point out, that conservatives need to address, is the level of influence by the mainstream media on the populate. That needs to be fixed and maybe it begins with more conservatives not only challenging the media on their bias, but more conservatives taking part in the message process themselves. It's easy to sit back in your recliner with the remote and bitch, but besides voting (sorry, no pat on the back from me for performing your civic duty) what are you doing to actually assist with who controls the message? The fact that more people know about Sarah Palin's wardrobe costs than who Nancy Pelosi is, shows you that as ignorant as they can be on discussing what's important, the mediots are still winning message wars.
