Sarah Palin Says Homosexuality Is A Choice

Good for her. She dared to say what I feel most Americans (including myself) agree with, but are afraid to say in public due to liberal terrorism:
Palin: But you are talking about, I think, a value here, what my position is on homosexuality and can you pray it away 'cause I think that was the title that was listed in that bulletin. And, you know, I don't know what prayers are worthy of being prayed. And I don't know what prayers are gonna be answered or not answered. But as for homosexuality, I am not going to judge Americans and the decisions that they make in their adult personal relationships.

I have, one of my absolute best friends for the last 30 years who happens to be gay. And I love her dearly. And she is not my "gay friend." She is one of my best friends who happens to have made a choice that isn't a choice that I have made. But I am not gonna judge people. And I love America where we are more tolerant than other countries are. And are more accepting of some of these choices that sometimes people want to believe reflects solely on an individual's values or not. Homosexuality, I am not gonna judge people.
Christians understand that JUDGING people is wrong and should be left to God, speaking your OPINION however, is an entirely different matter. Homosexuals need the "born this way" argument to rationalize their immoral behavior. As liberals continue to normalize homosexual behavior and indoctrinate it in our schools, churches and institutions such as marriage, more Christians need to do like Palin and speak out against this practice.

Just Googled Sarah's views on homosexuality and came across this page. Wow. It's really the only word I can think of. It amazes me that in the 21st century people can still be this ignorant. The vast majority of research into homosexuality has either come to the conclusion that it's not a choice or has been inconclusive. Also, there is strong proof that a straight persons brain functions differently to homosexual peoples brain's. Seems that really, this is a very American thing. You don't get this sort of ignorance in developed European countries. Yet America is full of deluded people. I suppose that shows what Christianity has done to Americans. I seriously think America needs to wake up and drag itself into the 21st century. I could ramble on a lot more, but frankly I can't be bothered. My last point I'll make is how you say "normalize homosexual behavior and indoctrinate it in our schools, churches and institutions such as marriage". Strange. I swear not all that long ago you were saying similar things about black people. Making people who have no choice over their orientation feel as if they're not normal cannot be a healthy thing for society and young people growing up anywhere. Wake up America. For a country that prides itself on being the land of the free, you're really not very free in comparison to other developed countries.

  3. Incredible that people still label it as a choice...especially in a country like the United States. If you are not comfortable with it, that's fine (don't be afraid to say it), but don't use religion, God and especially Jesus to defend your point.
You fall into an embarrassing category of people whom no one wants to be associated with, who believe that if you are not a white, christian heterosexual, you are not normal. Simply pathetic that these people who say such things like Sarah Palin run for presidency..

Your inability to think rationally and ethically is astounding. Hey author, you do realize that Scientists have disproven your completely unsupported theory by creating gay fruit flies in laboratories, right? Saying that being gay is a choice is like saying that being straight is a choice, when I am attracted to girls because of my hormones, and could not be attracted to guys EVEN IF I WANTED TO.

What's more, prove that being gay is immoral. That may be your own personal opinion, but with all due respect nobody cares about an opinion that has no factual basis or rationale to support it. And don't try and flaunt your religion as 'proof' either. Give a practical or ethical reason why one's orientation is any of your business.

  5. It is frightening to me, a European, to see that so many Americans are so ignorant. We do not have the same extremities of Evangelical Christianity which is so prevalent in the U.S. These views on homosexuality are so ignorant and vicious. Yet you think you can say what you want to about people as long as you can hold the Bible up as your basis to your ignorance. Sarah Palin is an ignorant fundamentalist with views which the vast majority of Europeans regard as dangerous and extreme. Its frightening though that in America, she is quite the average person.
