Why He's Person of the Week: for his emergence as the GOP primary front-runner which includes his surprising victory this past week in Florida, a state many so-called "experts" didn't give him a chance to win. Managing to overcome conservatives and right-wing pundits who've bashed him left and right for holding non-conservative positions on issues like campaign finance reform and global warming, McCain's tenacity and ability to appeal to moderates and independents is working wonders in the primaries (mind you, the only primaries that Mitt Romney has won were those where he went virtually unchallenged). And now with endorsements from both Rudy Giuliani and Arnold Schwarzenegger, the McCain momentum doesn't seem to be derailing anytime soon. To think it was only a couple of months ago that McCain's campaign was barely being taken seriously and now even Billary and Barack are already laying claim that he'll be the Republican opponent come election time.
