Bill O'Reilly Quote of the Day!

"[H]ere is what I see as the problem...[Leftwing]
Bloggers threatening -- you know, what people don't understand is that these Internet bloggers get messages to these candidates. If you don't do what we tell you to do, we will trash you and try to interfere with your fundraising...But I think it's a danger to have blackmailers, which is what these bloggers are, active in the political process."

Liberal Terrorism At Work: TIME Disses Billy Graham

I edited a newsmagazine for several years and have worked with enough professional magazine editors in the past to know that covers are heavily scrutinized before their approved. So it's pretty evident that TIME magazine choose their recent cover photo (and placement) of the Rev. Billy Graham with the sole purpose of ridiculing him. To think, this is what passes for a respected magazine these days. Imbeciles.

NewsBusters:
Just when you thought the MSM couldn't sink any lower . . .

Could there possibly be an American who doesn't admire the Reverend Billy Graham? Apparently, yes. Have a look at the cover of this week's 'Time.' Of all the ways the editors might have positioned the logo, they managed to do so in a manner in which the 'M' in 'TIME' is transformed into horns protuding from the good reverend's head.

Tucker Carlson and Willie Geist took up the matter on Tucker's MSNBC show this afternoon.

View video here.

MSNBC'S WILLIE GEIST: A guy who has advised presidents, the Reverend Billy Graham on the cover of Time Magazine this week. I know the media is secular, but do they have to rub it in? A nice picture there of the reverend praying, but look at the horns above his head. A not-so-subtle message that maybe he's, well, Satan incarnate.

MSNBC HOST TUCKER CARLSON: That is actually . . .. Have people complained about that? Because that's unbelievable.

GEIST: Yeah, there's some chatter on the internet right now, and there's sure to be more.

Jenna Bush Is For The Children

If you relied on the words of your liberal press (i.e. everyone in the print and broadcast media besides FOX), you'd think that the Bush Twins were nothing but spoiled, irresponsible, drunken floozies who probably don't like Black people too. Well, thank God for something called the TRUTH which states that they're both college graduates who've done a litany of charity work that's includes teaching impoverished kids around the globe, working for organizations such as UNICEF and assisting AIDS patients. Come to find out today that Jenna and her mom (a former teacher herself) are coming out with a children's book even. Amazing what you can learn when you bother to do your own research instead of believing the lies your leftwing press fabricates on the daily.
Laura Bush and her daughter Jenna will write a children's book about a mischievous boy who likes to do everything but read, HarperCollins Publishers announced this morning. The book, loosely based on both authors' experiences as teachers, will be published in spring 2008 in English and Spanish and will be illustrated by Denise Brunkus, who also illustrated the popular "Junie B., First Grader" series.

The collaboration has no title yet, and the amount of the advance is not being disclosed, Sandee Roston, executive director of publicity said. However, according to a press release from the publisher, the authors' net proceeds and part of the publisher's proceeds will be donated to two teacher programs, Teach for America and The New Teacher Project. In addition, HarperCollins will donate $1,000,000 worth of books for children to schools and public libraries when the picture books is publishment.

Laura Bush taught in Dallas, Houston and Austin public schools after receiving a master's degree in library science from the University of Texas at Austin. Jenna Bush, who graduated from her mother's alma mater in 2004 with a degree in English, taught in Central and South America for UNICEF and has written a nonfiction book for young adults, "Ana's Story: A Journey of Hope," about a 17-year-old single mother who is HIV-positive. That book is due out September 28.

Angelina Jolie Will Not Be Cheerleading For John Edwards

The wannabe Mother Theresa announces that she's still undecided:

WASHINGTON (AP) – Angelina Jolie, the Oscar-winning actress known for her humanitarian work, is disputing reports that she’s picked a presidential candidate for 2008.

In a written statement Wednesday, Jolie said she has made no decision despite reports that she’s supporting Democratic contender John Edwards.

“There are many false stories that circulate about me, but the one I feel I need to address, because it is about such an important topic, is that I have not decided to endorse John Edwards, or any other presidential candidate,” Jolie said.

“Like many Americans, I am learning more about the candidates records and positions but at this time I have not yet made an endorsement,” she said.

Whew! A Jolie endorsement could've given Edwards a chance at winning the whole damn thing.

Barry Bonds: The New Homerun Champ

I just happened to be watching ESPN last night and got to see Barry Bonds break Hank Aaron's all-time record for home runs with his 756th against the Washington Nationals (formerly the Montreal Expos). It was great moment to see Bonds round the bases, shed some tears and take in all the adulation from the San Francisco Giant fans, his teammates and his family. Plus, it was nice to see the ever classy Hank Aaron (who is still the greatest player to ever play the game not named Babe Ruth in my book) congratulate Bonds on screen in a videotaped message (having already lived through the drama of chasing a home run record during much more pugnacious times and not wanting to take the spotlight away from Bonds, Aaron had long made it clear that he wouldn't be attending any of Bonds games).

Say what you want about Bonds and we all know that the media hates his guts because he always refused to kiss their ass and never gave a damn what they thought of him, but Bonds never failed a steroid test and he was already a great player before (and after) those years that "Game of Shadows" book came out accusing him of doping in. Yet, if steroids was all it took to be a great baseball player, I'm sure that all those dead professional wrestlers who used them would've dumped the wresting biz in a heartbeat and picked up a baseball bat instead. And last time I checked we still live in a country where you're innocent until proven guilty.

With that said, congratulations to the new Home Run King.

Even Giuliani's Daughter Doesn't Like Him

Caroline Giuliani endorses Barack Obama. Ya' gotta' love the girl.

The daughter of Republican presidential hopeful Rudy Giuliani signaled she was supporting Democrat Barack Obama, then backed off when faced with questions.

On her Facebook profile, 17-year-old Caroline Giuliani listed herself as a member of Obama's Facebook group, "Barack Obama (One Million Strong for Barack)." She left the group Monday morning after the online magazine Slate sent an inquiry and later in the day, a spokeswoman said she did not intend to comment on the 2008 race.

"Before the presidential campaign got under way, Caroline added herself to a list on Facebook as an expression of interest in certain principles," said the spokeswoman, Joannie Danielides. "It was not intended as an indication of support in a presidential campaign, and she has removed it."

Her profile can be viewed by Facebook users who have access to New York City's Trinity School or Harvard University networks. Caroline, who is Giuliani's daughter with his second wife, Donna Hanover, recently graduated from Trinity and will attend Harvard in the fall.

Slate posted a screen shot of her profile, which uses a slightly different last name. She lists herself as having liberal political views.

Judith Giuliani Should Keep Her Mouth Shut

Rudolph's Giuliani's ex-mistress (now wife) is
perturbed about a recent Vanity Fair article, where she wasn't interviewed, that alludes to her being an evil opportunist. Now, I don't like the liberal fascists at Vanity Fair any more than the next conservative, but when it comes to getting upset at criticism over her past liaison's, Judi Nathan doesn't have a leg to stand on.

First, Nathan happen to be married to an ex-mayor of New York City whose running for President of the United States. Can't deal with the press getting all up in your business? Well, get a divorce. Because the idea that you're somehow your personal life is off-limits when you're married to a public figure and could one day (God forbid) be First Lady is asinine.

Furthermore, the idea that Judi Nathan is "new to politics" is a lie considering that she had no problem running around publicly with Giuliani when he was still mayor, has assisted the Presidential candidate in writing speeches, attends campaign political meetings and helps Giuliani hire staff. Then too the fact that Nathan lied about the past amounts of times she's been married, wasn't open until recently about how exactly she met Giuliani and has, at best, a "strained" relationships with Giuliani's children (who remain so bitter at their dad that they won't help him campaign) makes her fodder for the press regardless of their intentions.
