Paris Hilton Gets 45 Days In Jail

The spoiled brat, faux celebrity and media whore finally gets her just desserts, sentenced to 45 days in
the L.A. County Jail for violating probation by driving while her license was suspended:

Hilton had been serving 36 months of probation after pleading no contest to a charge of alcohol-related reckless driving related to her Sept. 7 arrest in Hollywood. She also had been fined $1,500.

Paris' defense was asinine -- she said her aides hadn't told her about the driving restriction.

I guess she'll have to hire new aides.

Liberal Talk Show Host Michael McGee Gleeful About Conservative Rival Mother's Death

Because they hate anyone who doesn't agree with them.

From Newsbusters:

Directly following the tragic death of Katherine Sykes, the mother of the Wisconsin conservative radio talk show host and blogger Charlie Sykes, liberal talk show host Micheal McGee, Sr. has come out with this statement, live on his radio show (via Channel 12):

“Mother Sykes, she dead. To me it’s the vengeance of God. I ain’t got no tears. Matter of fact a woman that would have a fool like that deserve whatever is coming her. She raised a sure enough idiot,” McGee said on his radio show. “My instincts say Charlie Sykes killed his momma, cuz she live out in this big palace in Mequon all isolated. He got tired of waiting for her money.”

Where is the outrage? Only one small local media outlet, Channel 12, and a number of blogs (Badger Blogger, Marquette Warrior, Michelle Malkin and Gop3.com) have covered it. If this story was reversed, and a conservative said this about McGee's mother, the entire national media along with Sharpton and Jesse Jackson would be on the scene. The article on Channel 12 has indicated that McGee's next show will not air but subsequent shows are not in jeopardy yet. Without public outcry, this type of double standard will continue.

Episcopalians To Accept Jim McGreevey As Priest

NEWARK, N.J. -- James E. McGreevey, the nation's first openly gay governor, told NewsChannel 4 on Wednesday that he is entering a seminary amid reports that he wants to become an Episcopal priest.

McGreevey has applied to the General Theological Seminary in Manhattan.

Friends of the former governor told NewsChannel 4's Brian Thompson that McGreevey has wanted to enter the priesthood since his days in high school, college, and even law school. Now, the friends said, McGreevey has the freedom to do it.

The governor's friends added that once McGreevey finishes the four-year ordination process, he hopes to find a parish -- perhaps in an inner-city neighborhood, where he can help children or the poor.

McGreevey has commented that being a religious leader will not only allow him to help others, but will be good for his soul as well, friends of the former governor said.

Proof again that Jim McGreevey knew exactly what he was doing when announced to the world that he was a "gay American" after it was found that he allegedly hired his male lover threatened to bring a sexual harassment suit against him while he was governor of New Jersey. We all know that modern-day progressives, in their continual attempts to bash Christianity, want to do away with traditional values and institutions for their own nihilistic desires. No matter what depraved activity they engage in, no one, especially Christians should pass judgment on them. We should only accept, and integrate them into every aspect of our lives. Yet, Jim McGreevey has played this crowd so expertly to the point that his infidelities have been forgotten, he’s gotten a load of sympathy from the loons on the Left, been granted joint custody of his daughter and now the "mamby-pamby" ideology that passes for "Christianity" today will now accept him as a priest despite the many wrongs he committed against the state, his religion and his ex-wife. This is the world we live in folks and sadly the Jim McGreevey’s of the world continue to come out on top.

Don Imus Could Get His Job Back

Don Imus has about $40 million left on his contract with CBS Radio. Apparently he'd like to receive that. According to CNN Imus has Martin Garbus, a New York-based attorney at the law firm Davis & Gilbert who is widely recognized as one of the country's most able First Amendment lawyers and
the two sides are gearing up for a legal showdown that could turn on how language in his contract that encouraged the radio host to be irreverent and engage in character attacks is interpreted, according to one person who has read the contract.

According to CNN, the language, according to this source, was part of a five-year contract that went into effect in 2006 and that paid Imus close to $10 million a year. It stipulates that Imus be given a
warning before being fired for doing what he made a career out of - making off-color jokes. The source described it as a "dog has one- bite clause." A lawsuit could be filed within a month, this person predicted.

Even if Imus can't get his job back, he has every right to go after his money. While I had no problem with him being suspended for his "nappy-headed ho's" comment and money played a huge part in this as well, but CBS still showed nothing but sheer cowardice in pandering to Al Sharpton and the PC-police and firing him. Imus has been doing his style of irreverent humor for years and anyone who thinks he's a racist has never listened to the man's show. So this isn't just a matter of CBS going too far, but free speech as well. Even if he doesn't get his job back, I hope that at the very least he gets every single penny of that $40 mill.
