George Soros Backs Up From "Nazi" Statement

Yunno how it is with liberals. Speak first, think later. They just can't help themselves.

Newsmax.com:

Billionaire Bush-basher George Soros admitted to "a bad choice of words” when he made comments that seemed to compare the United States to Nazi Germany.

In remarks to a group of reporters, Soros said the U.S. needed to admit it had made a mistake in waging war in Iraq and then drum out the responsible parties.

"America needs to follow the policies it has introduced in Germany,” he declared. "We have to go through a certain de-Nazification process.”

The New York Post slammed Soros in a February 18 editorial headlined "Soros’ Latest Slur,” pointing out that "de-Nazification was the post-World War II process by which Germany and Austria were forcibly cleansed of any and all remnants of their Nazi past.”

Lunatic Liberals Target Moderate Democrat Ellen Tauscher

Democratic Congresswoman Ellen Tauscher has voted with her party 90% of the time since 2003, but that's not enough for the nuts in the loony bin:

The Democratic majority was only three weeks old, but by Jan. 26, the grass-roots and Net-roots activists of the party's left wing had already settled on their new enemy: Rep. Ellen O. Tauscher (D-Calif.), the outspoken chair of the centrist New Democrat Coalition.

Progressive blogs -- including two new ones, Ellen Tauscher Weekly and Dump Ellen Tauscher -- were bashing her as a traitor to her party. A new liberal political action committee had just named her its "Worst Offender." And in Tauscher's East Bay district office that day in January, eight MoveOn.org activists were accusing her of helping President Bush send more troops to Iraq.

Helping? Jennifer Barton, the lawmaker's district director, played them a DVD of Tauscher blasting the increase as an awful idea in a floor speech eight days earlier.

"The words are fine and good, but we are looking for leadership," scoffed Susan Schaller, one of the activists.

Leadership? Barton showed them the eight golden shovels Tauscher had received for bringing transportation projects to her suburban district, along with numerous awards she had won for her work protecting children, wetlands, affordable housing and abortion rights.

"That's fine and good," Schaller repeated, "but this is about Iraq."

The anti-Tauscher backlash illustrates how the Democratic takeover has energized and emboldened the party's liberal base, ratcheting up the pressure on the party's moderates. That pressure is also reaching House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), a San Francisco liberal who recognizes that moderate voters helped sweep Democrats into the majority. Pelosi has clashed with Tauscher in the past, but she's now eager to hold together her diverse caucus and to avoid the mistakes of GOP leaders who routinely ignored their moderates.

They're the unhinged, if you're not a 110% in line with their immoral agenda, then you're the enemy and you will be dealt with.

Ludacris The Hypocrite

Here's a photo of rapper/actor Ludacris posing with Paris Hilton at her recent star-studded birthday party this past weekend. Don't they look lovely together? In case you didn't know Paris Hilton is a mega-rich skank and a racist one at that, proven by her most recent use of the n-word at a party. As for Ludacris, he's been running around lately telling anyone who'll listen that Oprah Winfrey is a "sell-out" because she supposedly doesn't like hip-hop. You may also recall Ludacris from his Pepsi feud with Bill O'Reilly not too long ago.

Celebrities are just sad people.

Harry Reid Is Officially An Idiot

The Nevada senator goes on a tirade worthy of an insane Hollywood liberal and says that Iraq is worse than Vietnam.

CNN.com:
After months of heated rhetoric slamming President Bush's Iraq policy, the Senate's top Democrat moved into new terrain by declaring the Iraq war a worse blunder than Vietnam

"This war is a serious situation. It involves the worst foreign policy mistake in the history of this country," Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nevada, told CNN's "Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer."

"So we should take everything seriously. We find ourselves in a very deep hole and we need to find a way to dig out of it."

Asked whether he considers it a worse blunder than Vietnam, Reid responded, "Yes."

Comparisons to Vietnam are nothing new, but a "worse than" designation from a top lawmaker is.

Of course, coming from a guy who once compared Martin Luther King Jr. to a comic book supervillian, one should know by now that Harry Reid shouldn't ever be taken seriously.
