Person Of The Week: Don Imus

Age:
66

Birthplace: Riverside, California

Claim To Fame: radio talk show host of the popular "Imus In The Morning"

Why He's Person of the Week: For going after Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer on his radio show this past week in lieu of the recent controversy regarding the Dept. of Veteran Affairs. Schumer was trying to pin the blame of the deplorable conditions and poor healthcare given to outpatient veterans at the Walter Reed Army Hospital Building on the "Bush Administration".

Yet, it was Imus who pointed out that both Democratic and Republicans had been ignoring the going-ons at Walter Reed long before Bush took office. Imus even noted that Schumer himself hadn't even visited the hospital in quite awhile. Said Imus:
"Senator Schumer, you’re not suggesting to me that this is something that just happened under the Bush administration. This has been going on since Korea, since the second world war."
