Got my 2007 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue today and it wasn’t long before I was instantly reminded as to why this is one my favorite issues of the year.
One word: Beyonce.
Right there on the cover. Now there’s a way to sell a magazine. My thanks SI’s editors for making such an exquisite pick!

Of course, with SI, the swimsuit issue has long set the bar on success. This year alone the SI franchise expects to sell more than 5 million copies of its annual Swimsuit Issue, easily making it the most-read issue of any magazine in the world.
To think it was only 40 years ago that the swimsuit section was a mere fashion spread, but now the Swimsuit Issue has literally become a force of its own with DVDs, exclusive cellphone wallpapers (that feature the lovely Sports Illustrated models from SI Mobile & even includes classic SI models from the past) and corporate tie-ins. These days you can even get swimsuit videos on iTunes.

This year's issue also features a music theme inside, with sensuous models posing with the likes of Kanye West, Aerosmith, Kenny Chesney, Gnarls Barkley and Panic! At The Disco. And with that, SI proves once again that when it comes to excellence, they more than sets the standard.
