Michael J. Fox's Pity Dance . . .

Here is the controversial new commercial featuring Michael J. Fox, paid for by Missouri Senatorial candidate Claire McCaskill. The commercial is pretty shocking and it'll sure to rankle you: which is entirely the point. Either you watch this video and end up feeling so sorry for Foxthat you say "yes" to stem-cell research or you're just an evil person because you don't. No room for debate or the moral linguistics of those who are either on-the-fence or just flat-out oppose stem-cell research.

I happen to agree with some people who find this clip both tasteless and exploitative.

And remember Michael J. Fox is a professional actor.

  1. There's nothing tasteless and exploitative about this clip. Michael J. Fox has a vested interest in stem cell research and he has the right to speak his mind to gain influence in the public arena.
    Welcome to America.
